While there were some presentation geared to programing and developers there was a lot of content geared toward the Manager level to use ETQ as a tool to build the QMS and get othere on board. Top two classes were Supplier Quality (3pm Tues 26th) and Culture of Quality ( 9am Thursday 28th). **What do you dislike about Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance)?** Not a lot of negative feedback. Do think that you may want to offer a lighter version of ETQ script design, seems that the last class was very expert programmer heavy and the audiance according to the survy was 60+% not at that level. Also offering that at as the last class of the conference was a head scracher. However, your team may have more insight knowing that the programmers are going to stay to the end of the day on Friday, ha ha. **What problems is Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our current culture is just in the intial phase to get all of our team memebers to deply and use ETQ reliance. The problem is to get buy in from other departments not in the QA realm to see thie powerful tool that particularly for captureing and using data. The benefit I realized over the week is the amount of customization that ETQ has and not to have a fear of the unknown regarding this customization, as customers have given many real world example of sucess stories using ETQ. ### 37. The forms are easy to use and clear. The customized applications of the software are also a great feature which, when designed well, can really enhance user experience. Our main consultant, Prashant Karnad, has been a very valuable resource and provided excellent support. **What do you dislike about Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance)?** The software upgrades removed some functionality which made daily use very difficult. The upgrades were made with good intentions and have potential, but with the user experience becoming more difficult, the additional power was lost in translation. The customized applications were not considered when the upgraded software was created also, which left the pre-existing custom applications very cumbersome to use. **What problems is Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Performance is a struggle in the customized applications after the upgrade was applied which is the number one struggle which is being focused on. With the help of our awesome Consultant, we have implemented many improvements to our custom application for performance and ease of use. ### 46. The project management team at ETQ are great to work with and help us tom maintain our project schedule and stay on budget. They are able to assist with small changes quickly to prevent our project from exceeding the due date and budget. **What do you dislike about Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance)?** The training available in ETQ Academy does not cover the basic out of the box questions that many of our employees ask. The need for documentation with step by step instructions for out of the box solutions is something that many ask for. The ETQ Community is helpful but with additional training aids could be much better. The step by step instructions would make the more complex workflows easier when they require certain actions to be completed prior to completing a phase. **Recommendations to others considering Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance):** Implement the system in multiple phases to allow staff to grasp the workflows easier without being slammed with everything from the beginning. **What problems is Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance) solving and how is that benefiting you?** We went from having multiple old systems to one new system that streamlined our Quality management system. In almost all cases, we are able to find workarounds to make the system function in accordance with the requirements of our processes and not forced to change our processes to meet the requirements of ETQ. If ETQ were to invest more resources into improving their existing program and support, it has the potential to be absolutely fantastic. ETQ offers numerous webinars and Academy Live training sessions on a monthly basis which are aimed at users of varying experience and skill sets. These are very well done and extremely helpful towards helping us identify and implement improvements to our system. **What do you dislike about Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance)?** The user interface is outdated. While there have been many vague promises of future enhancements, they have yet to be seen or implemented. Customer service is abysmal. Entering a support ticket is an exercise in futility. You will be passed between multiple support techs who will all claim that the bugs/issues you are reporting are not actually issues, but "intended behavior". Critical features of the system have been removed from the latest release (NXG Winter 22), which has significantly increased our operating costs and system downtime. Per the customer service comment above, ETQ refuses to address these issues as they seem to believe they know what's best for customers and refuse to allow us the flexibility to effectively manage our own system. I've never known a software/service provider that has used a philosophy of removing features that are used on a daily basis by their customers as a critical means of maintaining their system. This is a very bizarre approach for ETQ to take. ETQs analytics tool, Insights, was rolled out during the February 2020 User Conference. 2+ years later, it has almost none of the functionality that was promised. While multiple beta versions have been released, we still do not have any confidence that this will ever be a usable product and are forced to pay for standalone BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI in order to be able to analyze data from our ETQ instance. **What problems is Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance) solving and how is that benefiting you?** The primary goal is to standardize processes and reporting across multiple locations/business units. We're stuggling to realize benefits due to the non-functionality of ETQ Inisghts, the inability to resolve bugs with ETQs customer support, and the removal of features such as Designer Mode, the ETQAdministrator account, and Reliance Engine, all of which were used on a regular basis as a means to effectively maintain, improve, and monitor our system. ### 48. There is no consistent nomenclature, making configuration tedious (fields are not named consistently across the platform). Views can't be changed by the individual user or created on a fly based on a specific need; they must be configured and not needed for a validated system. Outside the software itself, customer service and support for the system are lacking. Even after you pay for support packages and such, you are constantly required to pay more for x and y services. With the system's design, you cannot do more and more of the configuration yourself, so you have to rely on the services team (great business model, poor customer service). **Recommendations to others considering Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance):** Have your Implementation Consultant walk you through the configurations they are making to the system and ask questions during this process. ETQ provides a variety of teams within the experience to onboard our customers. This includes our Academy experience, project managers, implementation consultants, customer success and support teams. Following go live, our support team is here to answer questions, replicate issues, troubleshoot Reliance and provide solutions as the front line. They will also work directly with your team in Campus (customer portal), in addition to meetings as needed to expedite closure. Our support team does not include configuration, but if we determine after reviewing the case that the issue is configuration based or you are looking for configuration enhancements, we will ask for your permission to send the request to services to help you, as this is a paid service. The intention of Academy is to teach basic designer functions to allow administrators to complete set up on their own. If accounts prefer to have our dedicated services team step in this, would be a paid service. We have many accounts that complete configurations on their own regularly. Our Implementation Consultants are definitely Reliance gurus and will be able to explain the ‘why and how’ for Reliance. Our projects are staffed with both implementation consults and project managers to ensure go live success. ### 49.
