"Comprehensive and Quick Real Estate Database"

What do you like best about Estated?

My favorite thing about estated is their customer support. They are very responsive and open to suggestions. Our company has been using Estated's API for referencing commercial property data, and they surprisingly have a good amount of what we need. We didn't have any issues on the implementation side of things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Estated?

I think they could enhance some of their commercial data fields e.g. adding property ceiling height, electricity data, lease information etc. I also think their free trial system could be improved by not having a time limit associated with a number of calls. Being a startup, trying to get the volume of calls up to their limit in such a short time frame is difficult. Possibly, offering a start-up package with no time limit would be helpful. Recommendations to others considering Estated:

I would recommend Estated to anyone building a real estate workflow product. They are easy to integrate with, and their pay-as-you-go model makes it easy to access data across the country without having to buy it in bulk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Estated solving and how is that benefiting you?

Essentially we're using estated to pre-populate residential and commercial property information when they create a new deal on our platform. It's helpful for our users when they are completing their deal summary, to not have to reference another website to log property information data. This helps save users 5-10 minutes per entry. "Estated was really easy to set up and get going."

What do you like best about Estated?

The simple documentation and the easy setup. It took an afternoon to get out an MVP of a product that is using Estated. I also really like the data that is returned for from the API. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Estated?

I dislike the way errors are handled or when you have duplicate listing information. The returned information isn't really useful and requires an extra request to solve. IMO it would be useful to return all housing information that is available instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Estated property data is quite solid"

What do you like best about Estated?

Our team evaluated all the possible property data APIs available when we built our single property website product and Estated was by far the easiest to implement with the most extensive property database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Has some data gaps as of V2 when it comes to the deeds portion of the record containing loan information compared to V1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Estated:

You get a lot of bang for your buck with estated. Bulk pricing cannot be beaten either. Compare the pricing, especially if you need <5000 API calls per month they support smaller sizes which was perfect for me. If you are a dev the REST structure is all standard and has good documentation. Takes just a few minutes to setup, then its just a matter of parsing the google places result for address input which is also easy because the input format is not too strict. What problems is Estated solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have been using Estated since early 2019 and used it to create a marketing app the provides clients with deep insights on their home and uses the data to predict a real estate transaction on a property. "A+ Data at Great Prices, But Owner Names Aren’t Standardized"

What do you like best about Estated?

Estated has been our secret weapon for a variety of reasons:

1. They provided us very competitive pricing v.s. data companies without great APIs.

2. Their documentation is done well and they constantly expand their coverage.

3. Their newsletter on PropTech is useful and insightful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Estated?

The main thing to dislike is that their owner name data is not standardized or cleaned (it's just one field where everything is dumped with non-standardized treatment of names / LLCs).

So don't expect to get clean name data. Sometimes it will be LLCs, sometimes multiple owners, sometimes there will be commas. Even if it's an LLC or multiple owners, it will be formatted way different from one address to the next, so you can't parse it out on your own.

This makes it really hard if you're trying to send mail to these folks or personalize that mail or to use the data to enrich with other information or sources.

In the time we've been a customer, they have offered additional data, but the data this one data point hasn't been cleaned. So, just something to be aware of when you buy if you need clean names.

What problems is Estated solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using this data for blueprintdata dot io. Our service is intended to watch properties for changes in the market, filter down just to the best properties (e.g. using machine learning to find just the homes where their bathrooms need remodeling or just the homes that don't have solar panels), and then find the contact information of the homeowners so that companies that market to homeowners only spend money marketing to the right homeowners who need their services now.
