## About eMembership
eMembership is union membership software built exclusively for labor unions. It is not a general-purpose CRM or association tool adapted for union use. Every workflow, field, and report was designed for how locals actually run, from dues collection and grievances to dispatch, organizing, contracts, and member communications. More than 55 local labor unions across the United States and Canada rely on eMembership, including two international unions and locals from IATSE, IBEW, ILWU, IUOE, SEIU, CUPE, and independent associations. Industries range from construction and the trades to public sector, transportation, healthcare, and school employee unions. Winmill, the company behind eMembership, has been serving union staff for more than 20 years. The platform covers 18 configurable modules that share one database: Member Management, Dues and Payments, Grievances, Contracts, Dispatch, Organizing, Communications (email and SMS), Meetings and Events, Surveys, Electronic Signatures, the Member Web Portal, a Labor Union App for members, Dashboards, Reports, Call Center, Data Import, Employer Management, and more. Because the modules share one database, a grievance filed by a member, a payment posted to dues, an event RSVP, and a turf-cutting visit all roll up to the same member record automatically. No exports, no third-party lists, no duplicate entry. eMembership uses a single subscription with unlimited seats. Locals are not charged per user, per module, or per member added. Every staff member, organizer, steward, and officer can have a login at no additional cost, with role-based access controls so each person sees only what they should. Two major platform releases are included every year at no extra charge, and the product roadmap is shaped by client feedback. The platform integrates with the tools labor unions already use, including QuickBooks, Sage, ADP, Paylocity, Microsoft 365, DocuSign, Authorize.net, EPN, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Twilio, Zoom, and Salesforce. An open API supports custom integrations for unions with specific data or workflow requirements. eMembership is a strong fit for local unions and international unions that have outgrown spreadsheets, legacy systems like MemberTrak, or generic membership platforms that were not built for union workflows. The eMembership platform serves unions ranging from a few hundred members to well over 10,000. Implementation is led by Winmill&#39;s team, with data migration support and configuration tailored to each local&#39;s contracts, dues structures, and reporting needs. Most unions go live within a few months and own their data from day one.

**What do you like best about eMembership?**

It's a robust database with a user-friendly data entry platform. It's the heart of our organization, keeping member information safe and giving us an excellent reporting tool. For dues and membership reporting, it's the main tool I rely on to do my job accurately and efficiently. The team is highly responsive and makes us feel like we're their only client.

**What do you dislike about eMembership?**

Would love to see QueryBuilder continue to expand as it works well to create custom reports. Would like to see continuing innovations to integrate on our invoicing and outstanding balances modules.

**Recommendations to others considering eMembership:**

The team is extremely responsive and makes every client feel like their top priority. They integrated four databases into one during a complex merger, and they’ve continued to provide excellent IT support for us for more than a decade.

**What problems is eMembership solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When IATSE Local 800 engaged Winmill in 2011, we needed to merge 4 separate databases with duplicate members into one, for roughly 2300 members at the time. The team ran parallel databases with us to verify data integrity, and provided expert support and training, both on-site and virtual. Over 10 years later, they continue to deliver innovations for performance and to support our growth and changing needs.

**What do you like best about eMembership?**

The customer service. Day to day management and upkeep is consistent. The eMembership team is very responsive to immediate issues. Everyone on my team feels comfortable and supported.

**What do you dislike about eMembership?**

We'd like to see more transparency around cyber security. In this rapidly changing IT environment, more proactive security enhancements.

**What problems is eMembership solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We started small. And we've continued to expand the functionality so that all our information is in one place. We've greatly reduced redundant spreadsheets so there are fewer mistakes, more efficient recordkeeping and "one version of the truth!"

**What do you like best about eMembership?**

The discovery and development process was excellent. The Winmill team really got in tune with our needs, adjusting the software in preview sites before going live, which was incredibly helpful. Since upgrading from our prior office operating system, our day-to-day operations and time management have improved significantly. The team has been exceptional throughout.

**What do you dislike about eMembership?**

I have yet to run across a problem that couldn't be addressed and answered.  Really no complaints with eMembership.

**What problems is eMembership solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The implementation has made a night-and-day difference for our operations at IATSE Local 110. The customized software actually fits how we work, and the team was responsive and accommodating throughout discovery, development, and rollout.

It's a customizable database that works seamlessly with our website and phone app (also by Winmill), keeping our data current in both places.

**What do you dislike about eMembership?**

Not Much, Queries can be a bit complex, but I am also not as computer literate.
