The automatic production of detailed reports based on wiring diagrams is an integral part of a comprehensive documentation system and provides subsequent phases of the project, such as production, assembly, commissioning and service with the data required. Engineering data from other project areas, such as fluid and pneumatic engineering, can be exchanged via interfaces within our CAE software. The execution of automated schematics, templates, diversity of reports and library management make it ideal for electrical engineering processes. In addition, there is the facility to integrate with electrical components developed by large companies in the sector. **What do you dislike about Electric P8?** The documentation required to execute some very specific functionalities of the platform sometimes becomes very difficult to point out despite the various existing resources. **What problems is Electric P8 solving and how is that benefiting you?** It mainly addresses the problem of automation for the execution and development of electrical panels/schematics, the standardization of processes, the possibility of easily sharing development information with others involved in the projects. The specific benefit is the reduction of both time and costs to execute new projects. ### 2. Also make an overview of all parts being used within a project with order number. **What do you dislike about Electric P8?** what i most dislike about is when something in the schematic is changed eplan automatically changes the source and destiny of connections where this creates differences in the connection lists. **Recommendations to others considering Electric P8:** eplan is a useful program to do better management of change on electrical scheme. **What problems is Electric P8 solving and how is that benefiting you?** the problem that eplan solved is making electric schematic very easy to change and made changes automatically throughout the electrical scheme. ### 4. The ease to create BOMs and reports from the schematics make this tool a perfect complement in your machinery design. We can get from data portal pretty good parts and manufacturing information just importing the part in a few steps. It is ease to import and export 3D models and 2D drawing, this make us able to integrate any other document that we need to detail enough our schematics. The file management is amazing. **What do you dislike about Electric P8?** Propanel add-on is hard to use, needs to improve. Sometimes is easier to create the panel 3D representation in another platform and import it into Eplan. It is required to have a good management of the parts data base to have good reports. It is required training to use this tool, it has to many tools that need to be covered in a training to approach the best results creating projects. **Recommendations to others considering Electric P8:** It is an amazing tool to create in easy way you pneumatics and electrical schematics. Create report an BOM will help you to reduce time in your design projects. **What problems is Electric P8 solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is easier to create BOM when you perform a good parts data base. We've been able to create a pretty good schematics, with high quality and good detail. What used to be tedious is now much easier and error free. **What do you dislike about Electric P8?** we have a customer that has their own eplan that is about 5 rev's behind what is available today. So it is hard to go back to using the dinosaur version. **What problems is Electric P8 solving and how is that benefiting you?** terminal strips run automatically, bom's, cable charts, placing of parts on panel helps make sure you get all the items shown. ### 9. The connection between different sheets for same component helps improve accuracy of wiring diagram. Also, the BOM it generates is very precise. **What do you dislike about Electric P8?** Sometime it becomes very difficult to make connection with another component because of the grid related issues **What problems is Electric P8 solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it to create wiring diagrams. The automatic and precise BOM generation helps in ordering right components in correct quantity in least time & resources.
