It's been really helpful to have them as partners and support staff for our team, rather than just being a lone contractor in an office. As expected, there were several discoveries that caused us to regroup, assess, and redirect, but in no situation were we forced to break our timeline or budget constraints. The team was as committed to the deliverable and our constraints as I was -- it was a true partnership. **What do you dislike about Edvantis?** I've used Edvantis on several projects. Some were managed service and some were staff augmentation. I continue to come back because of their consistentcy, professionalism, and they get things done. The only issue (and not on the project I'm referencing here) that I've had is when someone in a staff augmentation position did not live up to our standard. Once we highlighted the issue, Edvantis was quick to resolve it and even made reparations. **Recommendations to others considering Edvantis:** Although Edvantis has competitive rates, they to not compete on price. Instead, consider them an extension to your team at rates between onshore and low-cost offshore. Also consider them a long-term partner who demonstrates their investment in your success, not simply a resource provider. **What problems is Edvantis solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was the product owner for a new solution that needed business analysis, project management, UI/UX design, front-end/back-end development, and QA. Additionally, we had a relatively tight time frame and budget constraints that needed to be adhered to. Cliche’ - but at this time we have no reasonable dislikes with the engagement. **Recommendations to others considering Edvantis:** We are an independent team with contributors physically located all over the world (Germany, UK, US, Chile) so we were already working in a wide, multi-timezone set up which comes with specific challenges. Especially where it related to communication, priority setting, and developer autonomy (needed to solve meaty problems). Adding the Edvantis team was a natural extension for us and they connected right into our existing workflows and communication tools. If you are not already familiar with such remote setups (and you have 8hour+ time shifts) - be sure to spend some energy on your side organizing your thoughts, communication tools, and development systems. I am sure they can help you with this if needed - but it is better if you can connect them to existing workflows then try to create all new workflows while adding a new team. **What problems is Edvantis solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a bootstrapping startup working to build a functional prototype with technologies that are extremely new and rapidly evolving. I work directly with their quality assurance professionals. The have provided skilled testers and enhanced our automation test suites. Within two quarters one team went from 0% post build automation to over 75%. This has cut the number of hours spent on regression and deployment time by more than half.
