Describe the project or task EcomDio helped with:

EcomDio provides a platform for small businesses to create branded mobile shopping apps without the need for external developers. It allows for the import of product CSV files, creation of app-only promotions, and sending of push notifications. However, it lacks native connectivity with platforms like SmartStore, requiring manual CSV exports and uploads, which can lead to errors. Despite these challenges, EcomDio offers a professional mobile storefront, reduces cart abandonment, and increases revenue from mobile customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about EcomDio?

What I value most about EcomDio is how it lets our small food‑manufacturing company Fresh Harvest Food Co launch a fully branded mobile shopping app, all without bringing on pricey outside mobile dev firms. I’m the E‑Commerce Store Manager, and before we found this tool, I reached out to a local development vendor to get a custom app quote back in November. Their proposal came in way over our annual marketing budget, and we had to scrap that plan entirely. We were stuck relying only on SmartStore’s mobile‑responsive web view, which constantly frustrated our phone‑shopping customers. Our repeat buyers mostly order our homemade jams, grain snacks and frozen ready‑to‑eat meals from their phones. On the old mobile web, shoppers would struggle with slow‑loading product images, and checkout steps would glitch mid‑process. We saw tons of carts get abandoned, and our support inbox kept filling up with frustrated customer messages. Now I take cleaned‑up CSV exports straight out of SmartStore and import them into EcomDio myself. I can drag‑and‑drop to arrange product galleries, feature our seasonal harvest specials, and create coupon codes only for app users. The push notification function is huge for us too. Last fall, we dropped a small‑batch spiced pear jam release, and I sent a push alert through the app. Within hours we moved most of that limited stock, something we could never pull off nearly as fast with just email newsletters. That said, everything runs on manual file transfers. One time I forgot to upload updated inventory data after that pear jam sold out. The app still showed it as in‑stock, and we got several orders we couldn’t fulfill, forcing us to send apology emails and process refunds. Even with that risk, EcomDio gives us a professional‑looking mobile storefront, cuts down mobile cart drop‑offs, and unlocks extra revenue from our phone‑first customers without breaking our limited budget.
