Preparing and following up on retrospectives is dramatically easier thanks to the excellent template library—smart, well‑structured, and actually useful in real-life agile teams. Instead of reinventing the retro every time, I can focus on what really matters: the conversation. The action item tracking is another big win. Measures don’t just disappear into the void after the retro—they stay visible, traceable, and relevant. This alone has significantly increased the impact of our retros. A standout feature for me is the release‑train–wide pulse checks with heatmaps. They make long‑term trends and team development visible at a glance and enable meaningful conversations beyond individual teams. It’s incredibly valuable for spotting patterns early instead of reacting too late. And last but definitely not least: the Echometer team itself. The support is fast, friendly, and genuinely interested in feedback. You can tell they really care about improving the product and helping their users succeed—and that makes a huge difference. Tracking of action items made easy. **What do you dislike about Echometer?** I would consider a trial run through a prepared retro as a very helpful new feature. **What problems is Echometer solving and how is that benefiting you?** When one is responsible for a team as a Scrum Master, but it is not the main job, there is some effort involved in preparing, moderating, and following up on retrospectives, and possibly not much time for it. This effort is significantly reduced by using Echometer, and one can still conduct retrospectives that provide value to the team and are enjoyable. ### 3. The team behind Echometer is very interested in customer feedback and strives to continuously improve user-friendliness. **What do you dislike about Echometer?** Retrospectives that have already been conducted cannot be used as a template for future events. **What problems is Echometer solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously unclear evaluation of team health, thanks to Echometer the data and their development are stored in one place and visually appealingly prepared. ### 4. With Echometer, it is very easy to create and conduct a retro. You can choose from many templates and receive facilitation guidance on what the template aims at. The team health check has already provided interesting insights in the first retro, as questions were asked that had not come up before. I am pleased with this tool and am already looking forward to the long-term evaluation that collects metrics over multiple retros. And last but not least, the support is very fast and helpful. **What do you dislike about Echometer?** So far, my feedback has always been accepted by the support and has even partially been implemented in the product. Therefore, at the moment, I can't say what I might not like. **What problems is Echometer solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were looking for an alternative to Miro to conduct retrospectives, as Miro is only used for that purpose now. Echometer is a specialized solution and is also cheaper in comparison. ### 5. Its making it possible to do the retros asynchronously without having to allocate a certain moment to the meeting. **What do you dislike about Echometer?** I do not like the fact that most of the post is given to post-mortem analysis. It provides a report of the team response but does not assist in how this response can be turned into practical solutions. **What problems is Echometer solving and how is that benefiting you?** They helped to make our team retrospective meetings more effective thanks to the Echometer tool. This makes the process engaging since the structure makes everyone be involved and feel at ease to express their ideas. ### 7. The discussion prompts and the rating scales may not be very efficient when used on handling a dozen or more participants. **What problems is Echometer solving and how is that benefiting you?** The Echometer has greatly eased the process of executing team retrospectives. It offers everything you need for your slim and focused retros. In addition it simplifies the tracking of action items and monitors your teams health status. Even for beginners it offers a well explained red thread to follow from ice breaker to roi voting. The team behind Echometer is super fast handling support-requests and is genuinely interested in getting honest feedback to improve the app even further. My teams are very happy using the app, because it enables them to be part of the background work. And they really like the modern UI. **What do you dislike about Echometer?** I must admit that a little too many bugs appear on a regular basis to call it "perfect". But: Whenever I reported a bug the support team answered very fast. As far as I remember every single bug was handled and fixed within around 24h, which is way faster than my own company ;) In my opinion the icebreakers could be a little more interactiv. **What problems is Echometer solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need to offer remote retrospectives (Scrum), which can be tricky. Using Echometer simplifies this a lot since it offers a section for every step of my retros (icebreaker/check-in, review of action items, team-health questions, gathering information, grouping statements/ideas, efficient voting for prioritising those items, whiteboards, check-out) ### 9.
