I could voice my concerns, talk through any questions I had, and feel comfortable that I was being represented in the best possible manner as a candidate. I will certainly be working with the ECA team in the future and recommending my peers to do so as well. **What do you dislike about ECA Partners?** There were many points of contact throughout my search process, which could sometimes confuse who was the right person to contact. Many points of contact are also an upside though, and there was always someone from the ECA team on call to handle any questions or concerns. **What problems is ECA Partners solving and how is that benefiting you?** ECA worked with me as a candidate in my search to transition from consulting to private equity. Many executive search firms in the alternative investment industry work with investment bankers, and consultants typically have a more challenging time transitioning to an investment role. ECA emphasized understanding my professional experience and how that would best match the needs of their private equity clients to ensure the best possible fit. This understanding resulted in an offer from a firm that fit my experience and job search criteria exceptionally well. ### 2. We chose ECA Partners repeatedly for their excellent service, communication, technical and strategic proficiency, and ROI. This is one of those companies where every dollar spent, actually created a multiple in returns for us. We've used them both for our nonprofit development efforts, and for-profit sales efforts, using email and linkedin outreach strategies, and Salesforce as our CRM Our goals were to increase sales, and to support with the measurement of their work that led to the increase. **What do you like best about ECA Partners?** Strategy, execution, and attention to detail. I woke up everyday with meetings setup by their team. Really felt like a full service package to help me achieve my goals. **What do you dislike about ECA Partners?** I can't think of anything that I would change. **Recommendations to others considering ECA Partners:** If you have a sales operation, this is the kind of service you shouldn't think twice about. In my experience, getting the right people on the phone is the hardest part, and they excel at this. **What problems is ECA Partners solving and how is that benefiting you?** Outbound sales strategy, and sales funnel growth, saving me many, many hours. Ultimately, an increase in our sales and projected targets. ### 4. This is the first time we've had multiple high quality candidates for a single position. **What do you dislike about ECA Partners?** Their offering is obvioiusly just the sourcing aspect (we ran the interview process), but that was a good trade-off for us. **What problems is ECA Partners solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've struggled to find a search firm that can deliver this type of search product at the right price for us. This has traditionally been a tough position to fill because of compensation, but we got great candidates with little hassle. ### 5. We have engaged with ECA on two executive searches. They are professional, responsive and truly put the client first. We have added two great individuals to our team due to the work of ECA. During both searches I felt as if ECA was part of our team. **What do you dislike about ECA Partners?** I can to think of any dislikes about ECA. They were great. **What problems is ECA Partners solving and how is that benefiting you?** Both instances have been to search, recruit and hire executive level positions. ECA really positioned us to attract a level of talent that we would not have been able to do on our own. The processes and systems they put into place were first class. ### 6. They recruited two senior level managers. In the process they showed us very talented professionals. Kenneth and Atta introduced us to several large corporates (at the EVP level) to initiate partnership discussions. This was hugely valuable for us. ECA has also provided us with inside opinions to solve important HR problems. **What do you like best about ECA Partners?** ECA has incredible networking possibilities. This allows them to bring us, the clients, along in the journey and help us understand how they are allocating resources to our engagement and how that will lead to the best outcomes for us. **What do you dislike about ECA Partners?** ECA Partners is not a low-cost provider, so if cost is the most important factor for your firm you should probably pick another vendor **Recommendations to others considering ECA Partners:** Working with them is the best way of understanding their differentiated approach to executive search. **What problems is ECA Partners solving and how is that benefiting you?** We engaged ECA Partners to fill two of our critical executive level positions. They have helped with roles ranging from Product Director, Senior Director of Strategy, Finance Director, all the way through c-suite searches. **What do you like best about ECA Partners?** My partners at ECA have taken the time to learn our business, our strategy, our priorities, and our culture. I am confident that when they reach out to candidates that they are an extension of our internal team and will always do a great job of representing the organization and our needs. They are thorough and detailed in their processes and only send us the highest caliber talent for whatever search they are working with us on. **What do you dislike about ECA Partners?** Nothing really comes to mind for dislikes. As I said, I have partnered with ECA at 2 different companies on many different roles. They are always open and honest about whether a particular search is in their "wheelhouse" or not so if they don't think they will do an excellent job, they don't take the search. **What problems is ECA Partners solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem I am solving by partnering with ECA is they identify and qualify candidates for high level niche roles saving me the time of having to vet dozens and dozens of mediocre candidates which allows me to spend time on other priorities. **Official Response from Ken Kanara:** > Thank you for your thoughtful review! These professional project teams are well supported by a high volume sourcing team that puts many candidates at the top of the funnel. **What do you dislike about ECA Partners?** More of a generalist than specialist practice. Some portfolio companies with highly specific needs, e.g. VP of Engineering for early-stage SaaS company, prefer a specialist recruiter. **What problems is ECA Partners solving and how is that benefiting you?** ECA supports us in placing top executive talent in high growth small companies.
