I really like drop box because I can save documents and then save them in my drop box so I won’t lose it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that the documents first have to be converted into pdf. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ease of access from wherever I am. I can access from the app or the web and I have a folder on my desktop that automatically uploads to the cloud. My coworkers are using this for collaboration projects and I can see their edits in real time and vice versa they can see my edits. Everything is stored in the cloud so as we all know we can access our documents from anywhere even if we forgot our computer. The cloud is such a beautiful gift. How is everyone not using the cloud in 2021. We love dropbox paper for our collaboration projects and we will continue to use it for years to come until our next Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are storing a lot of data, it has gotten quite expensive to do so. Other than that there was not much that I did not like about dropbox paper. We will continue to use this until the next better thing comes along for us to try out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's all built into Dropbox, which is great if you're already using Dropbox daily. The live editing while collaborating with a team is quite helpful. Overall, it has most of the text editing features you'd need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The formatting needs some work. It can also be clunky at times, which is frustrating. It doesn't have every feature you'd see in Google Drive or Microsoft Word, but it gets the job done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Dropbox Papers task management features. These set of features makes it convenient for me to annotate images in documents, mention team-members during collaboration, assign tasks to team members, and add due dates to assigned tasks, all from within my Dropbox paper. The lack of add-ons for me. A lot of document editors these days create room for users to introduce specific features into their daily document editing experience using add-ons. This is currently not doable with Dropbox paper and I think it is because it isn't an open source software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to setup a time line for projects along with milestones to get a complete picture on how a project is progressing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The search function when trying to retrieve information from data files, sometimes fails to find information I'm looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Security is definitely the best feature Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simultaneous editing was difficult in early versions, but it has made huge improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- It's easy to use and integrates really well with the Dropbox cloud
- Mobile app available so that you can access documents offline
- Ability to collaborate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Has fewer formatting capabilities compared to Google Docs, Quip, Box Notes, etc. so there is no strong use case for switching to Dropbox Paper unless the organization uses Dropbox very heavily
- Doesn't integrate as well with other apps Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simplicity. You can start with a blank page and add as you go, or you can work from Dropbox created templates, or create your own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything I dislike about Dropbox Paper. I wish more of my workflow could be transitioned to paper rather than marked up PDFs or Word docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that everyone can go into dropbox and edit. I also love that Dropbox tells you who is editing so you know not to also edit at the same time. I also love how great the user interface is - everything is very simple to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the security systems were better. I feel like with more important documents, I would not trust Dropbox. Furthermore, I wish that there was better clarity as to all the functions that Dropbox does offer because there are a lot of upgrades and cool new features that I feel like I don't understand.
