## DroneDeploy Reviews
  ### 1. Unified 360 and Drone Data Platform That’s Easy for the Whole Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chase G. | BIM Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Having my company's 360 camera capture data and drone image and video data on one unified platform. Uploading data for 360 walks is so easy the project managers can do it. Flying a drone with DroneDeploy's auto mapping system is also as easy as getting the permissions, then pushing a button.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

The ground mobile app does have to be restarted at times to work properly. Also, the flight app on the M4E controller always tells me that my obstacle avoidance is disabled and to fly with caution the first time I start the preflight checklist. Then I start the preflight checklist again and it says obstacle avoidance is enabled.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DroneDeploy timestamps and archives all of the project’s field conditions that we’re able to capture. This has allowed us to verify that subcontractor billings are accurate, track progress, and allow stakeholders to walk the site without being on site.

  ### 2. Remote Access to Visual Data Enhances Project Oversight

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam R. | QA/QC Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Being able to access the videos and pictures from anywhere, allowing management to monitor progress and identify issues remotely. I also appreciate the customer support we received. Any time we had an issue or questions, we would get a quick response with a knowledgeable person to guide us through.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Setting up the control points for accurate measurements through the Drone Deploy app.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able monitor the job site remotely, and having the data for any future problems that might occur.

inspection and coordination of installations on site

  ### 4. Always happy using the Industry Standard, Pre and Post Flight, Cloudbased, Reality Capture Software

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manny R. | Junior Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

DroneDeploy is like an iPhone, Macbook, or iPad; it is a polished and refined tool that centers the user in an ease-of-use, ready-to-go environment. The user interface is very intuitive, and Pilots can easily create and share plans, progress, and rough products. There have been a few minimal issues when we have used DroneDeploy, but those are likely related to user error.
The support team is top-notch and responsive. Andrea Ku from the support team was very helpful, very patient, and very understanding. Andrea even recorded a step-by-step video to demonstrate my mistakes and the solution and then directed me to resources that would ensure other issues wouldn't arise in the future. I don't remember another support experience that was as pleasant and helpful.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

In another similar aspect of Apple products, DroneDeploy costs an arm and a leg. Remote pilots or their companies have to invest heavily to enter the DroneDeploy ecosystem. Customization is also limited to what DroneDeploy permits. While the cost and limitations ensure that the product is stable and users don't have constant issues, it really does limit DroneDeploy to large corporations, institutions, or already cemented remote pilots. Developing companies or new pilots will not be able to afford entry into this ecosystem. New pilots will likely use Litchi, Drone Link, or some other reality capture software that is more affordable.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DroneDeploy is great because my institution provides us with licenses, so I can use it without having to sell my kidney to finance the software.
I forgot to mention, another great reason to use this product is that processing/stitching is included and it is processed through DroneDeploy servers, so users don't need to invest into workstations or other image-processing softwares.

  ### 5. Its hands down the best platform out there, even with all its quirks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

The platform offers a single pricing structure, eliminating unexpected charges at the end of the month. It features fast processing and a user-friendly interface, making it straightforward to use in most scenarios. With a solid range of features, it stands out as a reliable product. Moreover, the customer service team is exceptional—knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely committed to resolving issues with personalized assistance, not just generic cookie cutter responses.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

One major drawback of the platform is the amount of time required for tedious tasks. For instance, setting the crop area of a map over 3,000 images is incredibly time-consuming, with each vertex taking over 30 seconds to adjust. If a map has 100 vertices, that amounts to nearly an hour spent just moving points. This issue could be easily resolved with an 'upload/download/save KML' option, allowing users to avoid repetitive manual adjustments.

Additionally, every time a job needs to be retried due to potentially misaligned GCPs (Ground Control Points), the entire dataset must be reuploaded, wasting both bandwidth and time. A more efficient solution would be allowing users to reprocess the same map while redoing only the GCP process. The GCP workflow itself could also be improved significantly by enabling users to save sessions, so they can correct issues and reprocess without starting from scratch. At present, marking each GCP takes over a minute—marking 50 GCPs can take 1–2 hours.

An option to automatically exclude GCP images that don’t align properly within the selection box would also be a valuable addition. Often, these images are located on the edges and are prone to lens distortion, making them unreliable for marking. the same goes for blurry ones, Ignoring these in favor of better-quality images would streamline the process and improve accuracy.

Another critical improvement would be a feature to flag blurry images and suggest processing the map using the side overlap images to avoid incorporating poor-quality data into the orthomap. This would help prevent entire flight lines or even singles of blurry images from compromising the final product.

Lastly, one of the most frustrating aspects is that customers cannot use the measuring and volume calculation tools without a DroneDeploy account. Most of our customers only need to draw basic lines, measure polygons, or perform very basic volume calculations. They don’t require that the data be saved—just quick measurements. Requiring an account for this functionality is prohibitive, as accounts are expensive, and most customers aren’t willing to spend $1,000+ annually just to measure a line on their land a handful of times. Removing this restriction would greatly enhance usability and accessibility

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DroneDeploy addresses a crucial challenge: showing customers exactly what they’re paying for. Traditionally, customers purchasing surveys or other data are handed a DWG file or a sheet of paper, which can be confusing and demoralizing if they don’t understand its purpose or value. This often makes them hesitant to invest in similar services again since they spent quite a bit of money on something they cant use or understand themselves.

DroneDeploy solves this by providing an accessible, visual platform that even less tech-savvy users can navigate on nearly any device. Customers can log in and see their data in a simple, intuitive way. While the engineer still receives the DWG file needed for the project, the customer also gets something they can directly use and appreciate—providing real value for the money they’ve spent.

This visual clarity often encourages repeat business. Customers can now see how their properties are performing with their own eyes, rather than relying solely on employees' reports. This increased transparency and usability make DroneDeploy’s cost worthwhile and help build trust and engagement for future projects

  ### 6. DroneDeploy is an exceptional reality capture tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle W. | Virtual Construction Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

DroneDeploy is an exceptional reality capture tool that integrates drone flight planning, map processing, tangible data collection, and 360-degree photography all in one platform. Its user-friendly interface makes flight planning intuitive, allowing for quick adjustments to cover any site effectively. The map processing delivers high-quality orthomosaics and 3D models rapidly, which is invaluable for project management. The ability to measure volumetrics and track progress visually enhances decision-making, while 360-degree photos provide immersive documentation. Overall, DroneDeploy has significantly streamlined our reality capture workflow and is a must-have for anyone in the construction industry.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

I don't love the administrative interface to manage users and their permissions. I wish permissions were more granular.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DroneDeploy is our one stop shop for progress photography and videography, aerial and ground. It not only serves in documenting progress, but allows us to analyze construction sites early in the preconstruction and planning process, as well as in our quality control work flows during construction. It is informing our project teams with quickly accessible information about their jobs and the tools in the platform allow them to leverage that data to aid in the management of construction.

  ### 7. Drone Deploy very fine product for all needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wilson T. | GIS ANALYST, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Drone Deploy is extremely easy to use and learn for newcomers. It has a lot of extra capabilities and abilities to connect to various GIS systems which is a plus. The website is easy to manage as well and keep track of all projects.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

The live streaming capabilites could be easier to implement for drones.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need the ability to capture the various water and sewer sites around the county on a reliable basis. Drone Deploy allows us to easily manage all of this data as well as help us fly all of our intended missions with ease.

  ### 8. Easy to Use, unmatched support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary P. | Technical Production Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Drone deploy is a great tool for managing flights and mapping. Offering the ability to preplan flights and launch from within the app, or fly and upload at a later time. It's also easy to collaborate and share projects with my team/clients. Accurate measurement tools and volume calculations are intuitive and simple to use. Whenever we need help, the chat feature and phone support are quick and excellent!

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Cannot think of any downsides. Not all drones are supported but they seem to add continously and update. LiDAR processing is in the works as well and I am hoping to see more from that as it develops.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple to use surveys and mapping with volume calculation and measurement tools saves a lot of time in the field and in the office!

  ### 9. Surveyor, Field Engineer, Drone Pilot, Laser Scanner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark R. | Senior Field Engineer/Surveyor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Team collaboration, site logistical analysis with overlays, archiving crucial data, being known for being forward thinking and innovative.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Not much bad to say. Sometimes we are in a 400' controlled airspace and get the DJI unlock because DJI thinks it is a 200'. Get the unlock from DJI and can fly 400' in the Pilot 2 app in the smart controller but Drone Deploy will not allow missions to be conducted because of the elevation exceeding 200' (even though we have the unlock for 400'). Mission chaining could be more efficient if it moved the starting point based off of your location on large scale projects. It would be nice if when using GCP's, I could simply upload a txt or csv file and choose each coordinate to the GCP manually (as opposed to having to figure out scale factors and datum's).

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love being on new projects where team members have had zero exposure to drone data and blowing their minds with all these easy and valuable tools that UAV's provide us each day....safely!

  ### 10. DroneDeploy by Aerial Drone Solutions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher W. | Owner/Pilot, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

I like how user friendly DroneDeploy is. They make it very easy to navigate. I also have great response times from the Customer Support. The major factors that helped me decide to go with DroneDeploy were Customer Support, they were there helping me get through a couple of pretty technical issues, I like the fact they seem to always be trying to make their product better and suit the many needs of the customer. The reporting on many of these post processing software platforms is lacking, but I like the fact that DroneDeploy has implimented something. I hope that they continue to develop this. I also like the fact that they are trying to be well rounded with not only doing aerial shots, but have put in ground walks, indoor walks, 360 views, etc. From what I see, these guys are standing right beside you with Customer Support. This is HUGE for me because if I can't get something to work I am at a standstill. I also like the fact that they seem to be continually evolving for what the future demands and current demands are. This means I feel I have a long future with them. The appear not just trying to make a buck but really be a current and future platform for their customers.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

I would like a couple of different types of secenarious added. I know they have serveral, but I feel the key 2 are Standard and Corridor. It would be cool if I could add some type of "no fly hole" in a flight path to avoid things such as towers in a standard flight path. I also need them to add my Matrice 350 RTK to their software. It is so convinient to create a flight path for my Mavic 3 Enterprise. I need this for my Matrice 350 RTK.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the beginning of a big construction project DroneDeploy gives my clients a view of what to expect that they might not see with just a ground view perspective. As the project progresses it helps to not only see who parts of the project are finishing up but it can bring out the unexpected once the as-builts are formed in the different sections, if that makes sense. At the end of the project there is a final flight. This gives that final look to see anythying that might have been misses, or things that need to be added in the future. It also helps to just make sure you didn't leave that backhoe at the back of the property. lol

  ### 11. I have been with Drone Deploy since 2017

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill H. | Owner & President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

I have to say the the most important reasons for me staying with Drone Deploy is becuase they are constantly innovating and growing as a company. I use to understand everything they offered, and then they just kept growing. As a small drone service company I have been very successful and use their ortho planning and processing platform extensively. I have enjoyed watching them grow, and even beyond my needs focused on their enterprise clients.

I will never use all they have to offer, but the mere fact that they have never stopped growing and sharing with their customers is a ture testament that they do not rest, they keep moving forward. The training materials and webinars are also something to be proud of. Their forums where people can post and ask questions is also a plus. So I would recommend without hesitation Drone Deploy. I love planning mission in their cloud software too. On a big screen makes it simple and easy to do.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

The down sides are things like we cannot set a default drone for our planning missions, I always have to change it to Mavic 3 Enterprise. Also when you open the App on the phone, pad, controller or online, the most recent missions are never the most recent missions. I have to always put Organization projects in alphabetical order to find my client's folders. Wish they go the bug on that worked out.

As they have grown, sometimes when chatting with someone on a problem, the problem is way over their head and they just reply with a canned response. So they need to be aware that some of us have more complex issues. A few times the software has been kinf of wonky in the field. But overall the good far out way the bad.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to produce 2D/3d maps for construction site PMs. They like being able to see their sites as time goes on.

  ### 12. Fantastic product, but not always clear what features are available

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas Z. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

The seamlessness between flight, upload, and model creation is fantastic. I can quickly and easily share models to be used for a variety of use cases (project tracking, inspections, surveying) and the product fidelity is very impressive.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

DroneDeploy's feature list is not always clear. For example, I have an Advanced License subscription and I cannot share a full project link with a client, I can only share individual scans. Therefore, if I have a project with multiple scans, I need to send multiple links to my client. This creates a risk of losing track of these links and my client does not get to access any of the comparison features. I was only told of this because I asked the right questions to their sales team, and if I want this feature, I need to pay for the next tier or on a project by project basis, which my client's are less likely to opt in for.

It's a great product when you know what is all included - and can sometime's be surprising when you find out where the feature wall pops up.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us aggregate inspection data
Helping us aggregate project tracking data
Allowing us to create topo surveys and perform cut/fill calculations

  ### 13. Several years and very much pleased with the service.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James Q. | Owner / Consulting Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Being able to plan the flights and account for very steep terrain. Uploading is a breeze and the deliverables show up every time.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Had some issues determining if Drone deploy was compatible with specific drone and the camera it had? Actually still don't know but I have since sold the Drone.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No Problems, they are a dependable resource for getting my pointclouds back in a timely fashion...

  ### 14. Wonderful platform with a wide range of uses, but comes at a increasingly steep cost.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack D. | Owner, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

The richness of features and exploratory tools as they relate to the maps generated by drone flights. The annotated reports and the tools provided to make them have been incredibly helpful countless times in my experience.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

The increasingly steep cost of membership. Unfortunately, I believe this next year I won't be able to remain a user after 4 years with the platform.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helpful and convenient to have a platform with which I can use map exploration tools, verify measurements and elevations, generate reports, export imaging for CAD use and to have a "home" for the images taken during drone flights.

  ### 15. Life made easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles W. | Owner/Pilot, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

I have started my drone business and DroneDeploy has made the work flow super simple. I am able to generate flight plans and areas for the General Contractors to review.

They find value in the deliverables. RJ, my account manager, is the #1 reason why I don't look for other services. He is so quick to respond and get me squared away when issues arise.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Continuing missions. Specifically, the photo sequence. If I have to perform a battery swap mid photo sequence, the whole thing starts over. I find that frustrating.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress updates and decision making are solved via drone deploy.

  ### 16. Drone Deploy Enterprise user and they make things come together well

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven B. | Owner/Pilot, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

We use this almost daily for jobs and make it easy to use. Intergration with RTK and PPK built in to make ease of use. Anytime there has been an issue Tech support is quick and responsive.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

I would like to be able to overlay my survey points into the ortho map. Also would be nice to be able to control flight orientation for solar inspections. Then last would be nice to have some more automations for video and photos and panos. Thanks

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does streamline the workflow for easy use.

  ### 17. precision ag implementations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Dairy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

processing time, ease of use, efficient

has some features that are promising but still needs work (eg, stand counts are not accurate)

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

glitchie software getting commands on mission flights; significant delays in confirming drone status...typically takes 8-10% of battery before it begins to actually run the mission and collect the data

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

provides data that promotes solutions that you simply cannot get from a ground perspective...generates an orthomosiatic (sp?) that helps decision makers to better understand the issue(s)

  ### 18. Great software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil H. | Senior Asset Management Specialist and Drone Pilot, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Esri integration is cool. 3D mapping is cool. Volumetric measurements is cool. Tech support has been really helpful.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Have had to experiment with the flying heights to get the desired results, not any fault of the software. Sometimes slow in uploading, we are trying to process lots of data though. Haven't been able to use the flight planning tool as we are only in a trial.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Volumetric measurement. Terrain mapping and flood modelling.

  ### 19. DroneDeploy is Key to Success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** T. Seth F. | Owner/Principal Pilot, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

DroneDeploy allows my clients and I to collaborate real-time easily and without overcomplicated processes or concepts. My business depends on DroneDeploy's perseverance to give me the best product imagenable. And they do.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

A bit pricey, but that's my only complaint!

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My clients are allowed to identify problems for real-time sharing based on the high-accuracy afforded through the RTK network. This allows them to ID problems now before they become costlier problems later.

  ### 20. Is DroneDeploy the Best Mapping Software Out There?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

As a full-time FAA Part 107 UAS Pilot, I fly drones daily in the Pacific Northwest for public safety purposes. Additionally, I own a drone photography business and often complete mapping and photography services in my off time. I have used many different mapping solutions in my role and DroneDeploy offers a solution that has been easy to integrate into our routine.

DroneDeploy offers a user friendly platform that allows you to preplan missions with ease from their main website or directly on the drone controller. The drone flies the automated flight path and does so with smart features such as picking the closest starting based on where you launch and automatically landing from that same spot. Their latest RTK feature has been unequivocally the best feature they could have added for small business owners who reside in states that RTK access is a membership and comes at a high cost if not using DroneDeploy.

I think where DroneDeploy separates itself from the competition is in the uploading and processing phase. You see, with most other mapping solutions, you have to purchase a "supercomputer" to process the massive data you just collected. Your gaming laptop won't cut it, unfortunately. The cost of these supercomputers can not only be high, but just like any technology, they have to be replaced and upgraded every few years. DroneDeploy offers cloud-based processing meaning that you just have to upload your mapping images and let the cloud-based processing take care of the rest. No supercomputers, no special software that has to be downloaded onto each computer.

Because DroneDeploy is cloud-based, our team can access each of the processed models via online access. Our team does not have to download software onto each of their computers and now we can better collaborate on the completed models to identify and review key parts for our public safety responsibilities. DroneDeploy has been implemented with ease into our team's daily function and we are beyond thrilled we have obtained this product.

DroneDeploy has amazing and quick customer support who respond when you have questions about their product.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

I can only think of one thing that I hope can be improved. DroneDeploy is still a growing brand, but once more users realize the true capability of DroneDeploy, I hope this can help lower the annual cost for (returning) users. DroneDeploy's annual cost is certainly less than purchasing a supercomputer if you only plan to use their mapping solution on a short-term basis, but for small business owners like myself, I plan to use DroneDeploy for many years to come. This cost will certainly add up over time and I just hope that there will be cost savings for long-term users such as myself.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DroneDeploy is solving for drone users who require a professional mapping solution program that requires sharability and management of mapping models. DroneDeploy has been the only mapping solution I have utilized that allows me to share my completed project models without requiring my client to download special software for access.

  ### 21. Drone Pilot - Construction Mapping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake W. | Project Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Integrated preflight checklists (removes paperwork on my end)
Ease of use - set up for flight mapping is as simple as circling and area and selecting auto settings.

Photo stitching is better than other software.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Support for new Mavic 3E controllers.
We had two weeks of support and updates before our new drone worked.

Upload time - it would be nice to have drone deploy linked with box or another file upload system so I could import them from there.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress tracking.

Payapplication review. We can quickly dispute subcontractors' pay apps because we have top-down photos of the work completed. This prevents additional field visits.

  ### 22. Great program!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg F. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

It's so easy to use! I work at a large open pit mining operation and Drone Deploy is an extremely valuable tool for 3D mapping our ever changing environment.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

We cannot use Drone Deploy's RTK service due to our location nor can we use the planning portion of Drone Deploy when we use our own RTK unit.

The mobile app does not refresh well and I often have trouble in the field finding the projects that I had preplanned.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drone Deploy helps us easily track our stockpiles and is invaluable to our engineers for planning and execution of our mine plans.

The maps that it creates. I recently had to use support, and they were excellent. They worked to try and solve the issue that we had with a map, which really swayed my view. I use it daily

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Sometimes, the processing can take a long time, like a week instead of days. There is no update on where it is and how much longer we will have to wait.

The cost has kept changing since inception.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

used for mapping for crash and construction

The price is very high for software, but as my business grows, this has been some thing that gets built into the pricing towards my Clients.

There have been a lot of problems the drunk players been able to assist you,

  ### 27. Excellence Results with Amazing Customer Service.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Declan M. | Assistant Orchard Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Depending on how urgent the issue is that youre having, the customer support team are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help at any hour of the day. Being a novice at drones and dronedeploy, I was constantly having issues with uploading data and pulling actionable data out of the maps that were generated, All it took was a quick message to the support team and they helped me get back on track.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

There is truly not a lot of downsides to Dronedeploy, If i had to choose anything, it would be the upload speeds of the data to their website. some maps were only 1300-1500 images and would take close to 8 hours. Although I believe this is due to my end and our wifi here.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to accurately track desease amongst our Orchards as well as plan construction works. We also use dronedeploy to keep track of our mulch/organics stock piles, measure tree heights, spot irrigation failures, and are working on measuring canopy densities in relation to fruit counts to gain a base on crop expectation/predictions for following years.

UI is intuitive. Ease of planning missions, uploading images and downloading data is super easy. Overlays are very helpful for as builts and proposed relative to ortho. maps.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Not sure if this as been resolved, but...
I had to fly missions that could be achieved in one battery.
Initially, the drone would come back when a battery needed changed and resume the flight from where it stopped.
Then it wouldn't.
No clue.
We managed a workaround.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymond W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about DroneDeploy?**

Single platform to capture and view ground and drone media.

**What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?**

Some of the flight plan routines are not very efficient. For example, an enhanced 3D flight will execute cross-hatch flight pattern with a perimeter flight. The cross-hatch ends in lower right corner of the site, but the perimeter flight starts at the opposite corner (upper left). So it's wasting battery and time to fly to that starting point.

**What problems is DroneDeploy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document construction progress. You can get back what you put into the system.
