"Easy Jobsite Capture, Organized Results"
5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

Drone Deploy offers a number of ways for its users to capture their jobsites, and continues to add new offerings and improve the existing ones. They make the capture process easy, the end result organized, and have great back-end support when you're stuck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

Their Analytics Dashboard could use some updating. The lack of sticky filters makes me lament having to dig into it. The BIM compare feature could also use some updating. I much preferred the Structionsite version that synced with the Procore model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Data Management with Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

I like how DroneDeploy puts all of our captured data on one unified platform, making it easy to find and readable, with everything hosted in one spot. What I like most about DroneDeploy is that they listen to their customers and take feedback seriously, usually incorporating the most requested features into their product within a year or two. This makes me feel very appreciated as a customer. Additionally, it was very easy to transition from a single user license to an enterprise license. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

My current complaint is the DroneDeploy app on the DJI Mavic 4 Enterprise remote controller. When I hit start flight, go through the preflight checklist, it tells me collision detection is disabled. And then I have to redo my preflight checking, but then collision detection will be enabled, and then it'll be fine to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DroneDeploy: Essential for Site Coordination"
5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

I really appreciate DroneDeploy for providing high-quality interactive photos which help us navigate our large 1.2 million sq ft data center. It's great that even when we couldn't use drones onsite anymore, we could switch to Ground Deploy, which was simple and easy to set up, and still deliver high-quality and precise visuals. The software is excellent for site and trade coordination, offering efficient real-time site visuals and progress tracking, as well as substantial evidence for trade disputes. What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

Disliked walking around a 1.2 million sq ft building everyday with ground deploy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best Inspection Tool in the Marketplace"
5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

DroneDeploy is very user friendly and easy to integrate with. It's very easy to teach the client how to use the software, and being one of the only shareable platforms out there, it sets itself apart from everything else in the marketplace. The software lets me use a 3D model to look throughout a roof and annotate it in the software, which is by far an outstanding feature for my clients. I worked with RLB Architects on a full facility management capture of Bristol Royal Infirmary, capturing the whole site, facades, and all the critical walkways with 360 cameras. This allowed the architects to investigate and inspect for hazards, trips, falls, and cracked pavements, and helped them find 700 plus defects on site so the maintenance team could make urgent repairs. The company is very forward thinking, and whenever I would like something in the system, they work on it and it happens. The template platform is just so easy, it's like the difference between being an Apple user or using Microsoft, the commands are so easy and it's really easy to pick up. The original installation and understanding of the product has been really, really easy. It's the best product in the marketplace, and the service and support are phenomenal. What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

{"Personally, there's nothing in DroneDeploy that doesn't work for me at the moment.","You're very forward thinking, and whenever you think there's something you would like in the system, the company works on it, and it happens."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Aerial Mapping with Enhanced Usability"
5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

I like DroneDeploy's ease of use, making it pretty easy to set up. The "Overlay" feature is particularly valuable because it helps me validate existing conditions effectively. Overall, I find it helpful for keeping track of data, checking project progress, and assisting with civil utility coordination. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

The main thing that could be improved in DroneDeploy is the media feature. Right now, I have to check or uncheck individual boxes for subcategories within the 'media' tab. It would be really helpful to have one box that could check or uncheck all the subcategories at once to keep the 2D visual clean. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Standout support, Aerial workflow and Safety AI"
5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

DroneDeploy is incredibly easy to use and makes aerial mapping straightforward even for new pilots. The platform is intuitive, fast, and reliable — from flight planning to generating high‑quality maps and 3D models. The integrations with construction tools like Procore and Autodesk are a major advantage, and the ability to combine drone imagery with 360° walkthroughs gives our team a complete, accurate picture of the jobsite.

I also really like the Safety AI feature. I’ve used it on multiple projects and incorporated the insights into subcontractor and owner meetings. The visual safety callouts make it much easier to communicate site conditions, and owners consistently appreciate how clear and data‑driven the updates are. It adds a level of transparency and professionalism that’s hard to achieve with traditional reporting.

What stands out even more is the level of support and onboarding I’ve received. Shoutout to Ashley Hanson, Nick Boone, Trevor and Tripp. The DroneDeploy team has been outstanding — responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us get the most out of the platform. Their onboarding sessions were clear, hands‑on, and tailored to our workflows, which made adoption across our team smooth and efficient.

Overall, DroneDeploy saves time, improves documentation, enhances safety communication, and strengthens how we present progress to owners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

DroneDeploy is a powerful platform, but the biggest challenge is the cost. The pricing structure can be high, especially for teams that need multiple seats or advanced features. Some of the more complex workflows—like accuracy tuning, GCP management, or large-model processing—also require a learning curve. Additionally, cloud processing can occasionally be slow during peak times, which impacts quick-turn deliverables. Overall, these are manageable issues, but they’re worth noting for anyone planning to scale the platform across a larger team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DroneDeploy: Streamlining Construction Progress Monitoring"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

I really like how easy it is to plan an operation with DroneDeploy. It takes less than 5 minutes to plan everything needed, with accurate estimated time, which allows me to efficiently plan my site visits. The initial setup was very easy. Additionally, the DroneDeploy support team was very helpful and efficient in pushing a fix when we had issues with tiles not loading on the DroneDeploy website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

We have recently had issues with tiles not loading on the DroneDeploy website, the support team was helpful and efficient in pushing a fix. My main issue is that when the drone needs a battery swap mid-operation, I often cannot continue the operation. This leads me to timing my battery swap between captures, rather than when the drone needs it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized DroneDeploy Platform for Streamlined Data Capture and Documentation"
5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

Centralized storage for all ground and aerial data in a single platform.

The ability to capture and upload photos from drones, mobile devices, and other sources directly into DroneDeploy for streamlined tracking and documentation.

A convenient and efficient drone flight experience that simplifies data collection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

It would be beneficial if the platform could automatically stitch together multiple flights completed on the same day into a single, unified map.

Additionally, enabling Dock drone data uploads and manual uploads to resume after connectivity or processing interruptions would significantly improve efficiency and reduce rework. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time Feedback and Easy Setup for Construction"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DroneDeploy?

I love DroneDeploy's ability to overlay drawings and get real-time site feedback and analysis. I can overlay as-built drawings or future design drawings onto our current construction site, which helps in making better decisions and planning ahead. The real-time site feedback is very helpful when planning out work on a very large site. Also, the initial setup of DroneDeploy was very easy and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DroneDeploy?

I think DroneDeploy's 3D model upload needs a better alignment and upload process. Also, the 2D contour lines just need to exist, especially during the excavation phase of construction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
