"Lightweight and User-Friendly, Needs Modern Icon Packs"
What do you like best about Draw.io?

I find Draw.io incredibly valuable for creating architecture diagrams, mind maps, and user journey flows. What I appreciate the most about Draw.io is its lightweight nature and straightforward interface, which makes it exceptionally easy to use even as a beginner. The user interface is uncluttered and focuses on essential features that meet my needs, allowing me to visualize problems and present them simply. Its minimalistic design ensures I can use the tool without unnecessary distractions, enhancing my productivity. I also found the initial setup to be very easy, which saved me time and effort. This simplicity, combined with its capability to help me achieve my purpose, makes me confident in recommending Draw.io as a must-have tool for any professional tasked with presenting user flows or architecture diagrams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Draw.io?

I think the app is outdated. While the features work perfectly fine, the icon packs are outdated. I also think they can update their icon pack or let me import icon packs so that I can use them directly from the app. Now I have to search on Google for icons and paste them into my projects. It would be better if they were readily available within the app itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best use case diagram maker tool in the market!"
What do you like best about Draw.io?

This tool is available in 2 forms, Website based and application based.

You can create different types of diagrams such as flow chats, use case diagram, network diagrams etc.

It supports various shapes for easier diagram making.

It integrates well with Google drive, One drive, so that you can save your work directly there.

This tool is easy to implement, just download the desktop app or head over to draw.io website and start drawing!

Frequency of use for this tool depends on the use case, eg. for us we use this tool to draw high level, low diagrams, network architecture etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile and Powerful, But Lags in Collaboration and UI Polish"
What do you like best about Draw.io?

What I appreciate most about Draw.io is its versatility combined with its open-source nature. On the one hand, the massive library of technical shapes—especially for cloud architecture like AWS or GCP—allows me to create precise, professional diagrams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Draw.io?

The primary downsides revolve around its advanced feature parity (especially data integration and collaboration polish) when benchmarked against subscription services, and its UI/UX sometimes requiring more manual work for very large or highly structured diagrams. "Simple, Comprehensive, Effective"
What do you like best about Draw.io?

Super intuitive UI /UX with a full spectrum of complimentary functionality. Broad integration compatibility and high familiarity with other professionals across domains. Tool can be used beyond its obvious application to do speedy, iterative, collaborative wireframes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Draw.io?

Nothing honestly; for the purposes of flowcharts, topologies, relational diagram, swimlanes, etc. Draw.io is perfect. Sure, its lacking the visual finesse other paid platforms may provide, but that is not a dealbreaker in this case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Love the multi-user Collaborative feature of Draw.io"
What do you like best about Draw.io?

I used Draw.io for creating an EER diagram along with one other teammate. We both collaborated on this project and Draw.io was seamlessly updating the diagram in real-time, which really grabbed my attention and something that I found very helpful. Draw.io is a great tool for collaborative whiteboard to create charts, diagrams, and other such artistic things. Ease of integration definitely helped me in choosing Draw.io. Also I use it very frequently almost every week. Its very easy to use which makes it better than other competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Draw.io?

It doesn't contain enough symbols that are essential to draw an EER diagram. I faced issues with Draw.io, which even had me considering moving to other options like Lucid, because Draw.io contains limited symbols needed for EER diagram. However, I tried creating the symbols on my own even though it required some time and effort from my side, I still found it helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
