Recommendations to others considering Dragon Metrics: This is an all-encompassing SEO platform, it's well thought out and is run by a super supportive and agile team. And they're continually adding new features to make it even more robust. We are very satisfied with the reporting and find it a perfect fit for our ecommerce site. The newly released URL X-Ray is going to make my SEO job even more fun and productive. It provides - in one click- an incredible collection of all the data needed to check the health and polish the strength of any of our crawled web pages. Our previous platform was also robust, but Dragon Metrics is much more organized and intuitive than it was. You can easily get where you want to be and dig deeper, download reports, and filter for dates and categories much more quickly with this one. It's a great value and a pleasure to use. How did I get introduced to the Dragon? I picked up a great, blue swag water bottle from them at SMX West last year - and was given a road-tour of the product by the founder/president. Himself! This holistic view helps uncover relationships between performance and issues that I simply couldn’t see as clearly using other platforms. The ability to build customizable reports is another standout feature. Dragon Metrics solves a very specific problem in our tool stack: it turns “raw performance data” into an operational, segmented cockpit that we can actually run SEO with. We don’t use it as a deep domain investigation tool or a fast presales teardown platform. That’s the key trade-off. Where an agency often needs a quick, forensic “what’s going on with this domain?” view (competitive footprint, keyword gaps, link signals, technical red flags), Dragon Metrics can feel too shallow and not exploratory enough. For that job, we lean on tools like Screaming Frog/Sitebulb for technical and crawl-based analysis, and suites like Ahrefs/SISTRIX/LRT for broader domain intelligence. But that limitation is also what clarifies its role: Dragon Metrics is not our microscope—it’s our dashboard. Its biggest upside is how well it handles the integration of Google Search Console and GA4, and what we can do with that once it’s connected.
