Cost is defenitly one negative point which I see. Another may be slight operational burden in configuration post DR.Also another thing we may see is log file sync issues. These kind of issues will be seen if you have frequent commits. This is application configuration issue as well. A really good application designer will not keep bulk commits or frequest commits. The thing I like about Disaster recovery as a service for oracle is that it allows my company to take backup of our data in third-party cloud computing.
