What do you like best about Doppler secrets management platform?

Doppler is one of those tools that I don't want to imagine NOT having in my stack. Its dead simple to use, the DX is some of the best I've used - getting going is as simple as adjusting package.json start command to run Doppler and inject your secrets for local dev. Sync tools to make using it in production/QA a breeze. Because of how simply it integrates I forget Im using it every single day!

Doppler has been a saving grace during all the supply chain attacks on NPM, keeping our secrets... secret! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Doppler secrets management platform?

I genuinely find it hard to find a dislike about Doppler, so a cop out would be that I didn't start using it sooner! I can't say anything about customer support because its always worked, so I have never needed to contact them Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Doppler secrets management platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed a way to centrally manage our secrets, sync them securely into deployed environments, as well as keep secrets out of plain text .env files on developer machines.

Doppler does it all. Its concepts of project/environments is perfect for managing secrets.

I really appreciate both the command-line interface and the user interface for managing secrets and keeping them in sync. Everything feels straightforward and efficient. It integrates easily with the tools I use daily, and setting it up across environments was surprisingly smooth. What do you like best about Doppler secrets management platform?

I love the DevEx of Doppler! It's a key factor in why we chose to use doppler over other providers like aKeyless and Vault. Doppler makes the overhead of maintaining a Single Source of Truth for secrets (dare I say it) enjoyable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Doppler secrets management platform?

There are some minor things that could be improved with Doppler. I'd love to see more SDK integration for our developers and further data typings (eg certs). I'd also love to see better notifications around expiring secrets. For example, gitlab requires all tokens to be renewed within at most a 1 year time period. It'd be great if Doppler could determine what date a token will expire on and alert us ahead of time for its renewal. Even better if Doppler could handle rotation out of the box (it may be able to but we haven't explored this yet)--at the same time, not all services support rotation so this doesn't cover everything. What do you like best about Doppler secrets management platform?

Doppler is a great solution for managing secrets. They provide a really easy way to have a source of truth for managing secrets. Its seamless integration with AWS Secrets Manager, Vercel, and GitHub has simplified our workflows and eliminated manual overhead. "Easy to use and works flawlessly"

What do you like best about Doppler secrets management platform?

Doppler makes it very easy to set up multiple environments, set secrets for those environments, and sync those secrets to all underlying systems. We use Doppler as the source of truth, and automatically sync the secrets to platforms like GitHub and Google Cloud with very straightforward configuration. The ability to sync secrets to a dev environment is also amazing, we no longer need to share .env files through a side-channel to members of the team. This makes onboarding folks like contractors a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Doppler secrets management platform?

Not sure if there are any true downsides, but there are a few small annoyances:

1) Some of the integrations dump all secret values into a single secret. This can be annoying to manage.

2) If secrets are needed on the dev environment, unlike a .env file that can be read by any tool, you have to use the Doppler CLI to inject the secrets as env variables. I like the security aspect of this, but it is very slightly annoying.
