DokiFinder for Business is lost and found software for organizations that handle lost property every day: airports, hotels, universities, transit operators and public venues. It replaces the spreadsheet, the cupboard and the shared inbox with one workspace for the four jobs of a lost property desk: taking items in, working out who they belong to, checking that the person asking is the real owner, and getting the item back to them. Intake. Staff log a found item with a photo. AI reads the photo and drafts the item type, colour, brand and distinguishing marks. A member of staff corrects the draft, adds where and when the item was found, and the item enters the inventory with a reference, a location and a holding deadline. Items can carry a printed property tag so the shelf matches the record, and existing records can be imported in bulk from a spreadsheet on paid plans. Matching. Each found item is compared with lost reports from the public on category, place, date, description, colour and photos, including reports written in other languages. When a likely owner exists, your team sees the candidate and the owner is told that an organization may be holding their item. Your inventory stays private by default: items are visible only to the owner whose report matches, unless you choose to publish them. Claims and audit trail. Owners claim through DokiFinder and provide proof, such as details that are not visible in the record, a receipt, a serial number or a photo. Your team reviews the claim, asks follow-up questions in the built-in chat, and approves or declines. Nothing is released automatically. Every decision is logged with who made it and when. Photos of identity documents are not sent to AI services, and sensitive fields are hidden in public listings. Returns and payment. An approved owner books a pickup or asks for shipping. For shipping, DokiFinder requests carrier quotes, the owner sees the price before paying, and your team receives the label once payment clears and follows the status from the carrier. If your organization charges a recovery fee, it is collected at the same time and shown before payment. Finder network. DokiFinder also runs a public network where individuals report lost items for free and finders list what they have found. Finders earn a reward that is held in escrow until the handover is confirmed with a one-time code, so returns do not depend on trust. Pricing and languages. A free plan covers 50 active items, 3 team members and 1 location. Paid plans raise those limits and add bulk import, more locations and integrations. There is no charge per item logged or returned. The product runs in 13 languages.
