I found that Disk Drill didn't solve my data recovery problem. While it recovered some files, most were unusable because the videos and photos were glitchy and distorted. I paid for the premium version, expecting better results, but was still disappointed. It took long hours of scanning without successfully recovering my files, and the customer service was unfriendly and unhelpful. They just hid behind their no refund policy instead of assisting with my issues. Will not recommend it to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I appreciate most about Disk Drill is its capability to recover lost or deleted files from my end users' computers. Additionally, I value its effectiveness in retrieving data after a Windows failure. It is very easy to set up and can be implemented swiftly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I find frustrating is the lack of an option to search with more precision. At times, the process takes a very long time and retrieves far more information than I actually need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What impressed me most was their customer support and manual file recovery service. I had a massive 8.93 GB video file that was corrupted when the power source was turned off before stopping the recording. I tried multiple repair methods first — including FFmpeg commands, VLC’s “fix” prompt, and a couple of free online MP4 repair tools — but none of them were able to handle the size or restore the file on my platform.

The CleverFiles team stepped in and delivered. They had me upload the file via Dropbox, manually repaired it, and sent back a fully playable version — despite it being far above their published size limit. Their support team (Mit, David, and Denys) was responsive, knowledgeable, and actually solved the issue, not just gave canned replies. That level of follow-through is rare. The 5 GB size limit for online repairs can be quite limiting for those who work with larger files, particularly in media production. Although the team was able to manually repair my file, the process involved several exchanges via email and chat, which were with very pleasant and helpful people! It would be more convenient if the online repair tool could accommodate larger files directly, or even a paid version/support because I know this stuff isn't free to host. OR at least, provide some guidance on how to submit oversized files to support right from the beginning if that's something they want to advertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Disk Drill PRO is a great product and has rescued me on more than one occasion when files have been lost. I paid extra for the lifetime upgrades and - v.6 has just been released. I contacted customer support to inquire about an upgrade price for disc drill. This is a utility that has been extremely useful a few times I’ve needed it. It allows you to access hard drives that are effectively dead, and still be able to extract and save the data from them. It can be a lifesaver. Great customer support! Occassionally, Disk Drill will recover contents from a dead drive, only to later discover that some files are unrecognisable from their host programs (Word, Excel, jpegs). So some information must be lost in the recovery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

what a mind-blowing super hero saver app !!

I just got back some files that I deleted by accident on my SD card. and the providing Online costumer service is so effective and fast. long story shot I had lost my activation code from my last year purchased and they were about to find it in less that a minute.
