# Which PDF editors let non-technical users redact, annotate, and sign documents entirely without IT involvement?

Permanent redaction is the capability I’d scrutinize most because an interface can look simple while still creating a serious risk if sensitive content remains recoverable. I’d test the exported file rather than trust the visual result alone. Has anyone adopted one of these independently and later discovered a security or compliance requirement that brought IT back into the process?
