The cross-platform endpoint coverage, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, is a strong feature.

"Very good product but it takes time to master it"

What do you like best about Fortra DLP (formerly Digital Guardian)?

It covers all the endpoint data exposue channel ( web, application, printer/usb...)

It helps tracking end user behaviors or interactions with application so we can build policy to protect data without any insight before that.

Takes time to learn and get it useful, many knowledge need to be used to control the product (mssql, IIS application...)

1. DG provides standard predefined policies that cover most of the organization's use cases.

2. supported in all three flavors windows, Linux, and Mac.

3. advanced forensics available for investigations.

4. prebuilt reports more than 400.

5. they DGcomm component for roaming users so we can connect remote users easily.

5. prebuilt PCI, PHI, and PII Data policies to cover PCI-DSS, HIPPA and GDPR.

What do you dislike about Fortra DLP (formerly Digital Guardian)?

1. they don't have proper training for customers.

2. Linux supports but again kernel versions are the main dependency.

3. It is difficult to understand the console for new users.

4. there are no exception options in classification policies.

So many other places showing you things that aren't actionable, and here Fortra is clearly devoting resources not on some fancy framework but rather showing you what a SoC actually uses.
