The DG agent is very powerful in the ways it can be used to control your data and it helps make you aware of your data as well. Our analyst does a nice job of finding things of interest so we are more aware of what data is going where and we can ensure it would be difficult to misuse. If you want this to go well it is really important to make sure you put the time and effort in during implementation to ensure you don't run into issues. **What do you dislike about Fortra DLP (formerly Digital Guardian)?** I don't have any complaints about the product. It does what we need it to and seems to be lightweight in regards to its impact on performance. The biggest thing they could work on is communication between sales and professional services because sometimes we have minor things that we want to change and sales thinks it should have a charge associated, which if it were the case we would probably stop using the product, and professional services sets up about a 10-minute call and resolves the issue. **What problems is Fortra DLP (formerly Digital Guardian) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Digital Guardian is our Data Loss Prevention and data classification platform. Before using this product, we could classify data, but it involved human interaction and whenever you involve humans you involve additional risk. When someone is busy asking them to take additional time to ensure the proper classification of a document is asking a lot. However it does work better on Windows 7 than it does on Windows 10. We found that you have to exclude just about everything, otherwise it blocks the action even in monitor only mode. It also kills machine performance. For example locking your computer takes a minute longer than it does without the application. **What do you like best about Fortra DLP (formerly Digital Guardian)?** It worked great to prevent data from disappearing as well as creating more time to get coffee.
