As a structural engineer, I often receive civil & architectural plans in various formats that I wouldn't usually be able to view. But Design Review overcomes such issues thanks to its vast CAD compatibility support. Moreover, the user interface is silky-smooth & is well-optimized to run on even low-end hardware. Importing complex, large-sized files takes no time to render, & navigating through the drawing is stutter-free. **What do you dislike about Design Review?** I haven't encountered any issues with the software thus far, so no complaints here. **What problems is Design Review solving and how is that benefiting you?** Whenever I receive a CAD schematic that isn't typically viewable in AutoCAD (such as DWF format), Design Review is therefore used to view the file without any hindrances. ### 2. Also, it is easy to use and very intuitive. **What do you dislike about Design Review?** I don't know what to say about disconformities using this software because I think this is a good and complete tool that helps you achieve excellent productivity. **What problems is Design Review solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps you track changes along the lifecycle of a CAD project and communicate better with all of our team. We review the design for cost, quality, build issues, manufacturability, assembly, service, safety, and requirements from customers, regulatory bodies, business. It does its job with no hassles. You can add review information to plans and it goes back and forth among the project team members. It can be produced from several sources and in 2D or 3D formats. **What do you dislike about Design Review?** A few times it has happened that a new DWF file version is released and the program is not updated soon enough. Just a few times in the past. **Recommendations to others considering Design Review:** It's an easy to use, very intuitive and, above all, free tool for reviewing and redlining plans. You can turn on and off any comment, measure or sketching overlaid to the original plan. Plans can be produced individually or in multipage documents for easier shipping and handling. Documents normally are smaller in size than the original CAD or BIM version. When you export from Revit into a DWF, objects retain metadata, not just their geometric representation. **What problems is Design Review solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it as an on-site review tool. We can inspect and measure plans and do the appropriate redlining and comments. It's easy to use, documents size is adequate, and, I insist, it's free of charge, so everyone in the field and within the office can have one on their computers. ### 13.
