**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Deepnote?**

The simple fact that it is a notebook platform is perfect for education, but beyond that is how Deepnote has extended its platform to make imports easy. My students and I LOVE the fact that the notebooks can be published as apps. The fact that you can add input using graphical components without having to code also is so useful. Lastly, the SQL integration (among many others), makes it very easy to teach students a querying language and the power it can bring to their apps. Basically, Deepnote make everything easy. I haven't had the chance to use their AI much, but I imagine that it too is fabulous. In 2021, I was put in contact with Elizabeth D. at Deepnote and she walked me through the product at that time and too copius notes about our use cases in education. A lot of the features we requested came to fruition. Lastly, the Education plan has been outstanding and we (fellow CS teachers) truly appreciate their commitment to education.

**What do you dislike about Deepnote?**

Early on, Deepnote could be a little laggy. However, I'm sure that some of this was due to rapid growth. I don't see those problems anymore and there is constant improvement in speed as well as features.

**What problems is Deepnote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I teach a second and third level Python course and we have student and also sponsor an AI/ML club at school. From using Pandas, matplotlib, SQL, Deepnote allows my students to explore data with zero setup. Additionally, my AI/ML club uses Deepnote exclusively. Deepnote and notebooks in general are great for education. Deepnote abstracts away a lot of complexity for my students so we can focus on implementing the code.

  ### 10. Great python notebook app with amazing collaboration with team

**What do you dislike about Deepnote?**

I don't like the lack of free gpu credits, compared with something like google colab

**What problems is Deepnote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deepnote is solving the lack of collaboration that other platforms like Google Colab don't offer in a robust way that makes it accessible for a user to quickly join in on the project

  ### 42. Best Jupyter Notebook Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremiah H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Deepnote?**

Deepnote makes it super easy to setup, host, run and collaborate on Jupyter Notebooks.
I have been using it almost every day as my primary IDE since it was in beta.
The integrations it provides are super convenient.
The AI implementation for code writting outperforms any other code AI I have used.
Deepnote's team is a bunch of really cool people. In all of the time I've been using it, I've never made a support request, but the team reached out with regular updates, stays in touch and are really genuine people who care about their users.

**What do you dislike about Deepnote?**

I've been using Deepnote since it's creation and have no complaints.

**What problems is Deepnote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

initially, I used Deepnote to simply host notebooks that our team could collaborate on in real-time.
As Deepnote has evolved, so has our usage.
I now use it as my primary IDE for data science and ML work.
We also use deepnote to host adminstrative tools for our multi-tenant applications that we host.
Publishing Deepnote apps has been great for provising our non-technical support staff with tools that are easily adapatable to interact with out application servers.

  ### 43. Great tools for learning to code, and working with friends

It is very easy to use, and start coding together with friends. It also let you select version of Python to work with.

**What do you dislike about Deepnote?**

There was one issue of joining the group by a link. At first, I couldn't join using the given link (whereas the others could join using that same link), but the sender created another link which works fine. It's the only issue I had with Deepnote so far.

**What problems is Deepnote solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me and my friends to work on creating a model together.
