Well-organized software, I like the details such prevent editing of the fields. Everything is well structured. The ability to sync between databases, even servers, is a must for me. I prefer scripting most of the time, but the GUI has never let me down when I'm in a rush. I have used several different GUIs (phpMyAdmin, HeidiSQL, SQLserver Management Studio) and dbForge Studio for MySQL is my favorite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about dbForge Studio for MySQL? Sometimes exports to SQL insert statements automatically set names= 'compatibility' rather than utf8. Recommendations to others considering dbForge Studio for MySQL: Try it for 30 days, then lock in a 3 year subscription. I just renewed for another 3 years at the best pricing they offer. The ability to create very complex lookup and join queries over multiple tables, then test that they are working as expected before copying the generated SQL query text (or build a view in dbForge) to use directly in Visual Studio. This makes using MySQL effortless, even for novice users and is a great tool to learn the intricacies of MySQL. It also builds databases quickly with easy entry of tables, views, queries, events and triggers, making the job of managing MySQL rapid and easier to use than using pen and paper. When writing raw SQL, it uses autocomplete which is a fantastic tool, no need to keep a list of tables, etc, or remembering the syntax of that command you hardly ever use as its all there. We have a very complex MS Access database that has been in use for 20 years, and we're in the process of converting to MySQL which gives us a future option for online access for our customers, and front end with Visual Studio for our users. dbForge is helping to make the transition smooth and almost painless.
