I tried daydream a couple years ago I did it with their own device with the controller and everything it was really good VR (for the cheap) experience. I played a lot of videogames and it was immersive enough to loss the frame of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sadly daydream seems to be abandone by Google. When you try to search for it on Google websites you only arrive to support pages but you cannot longer download anything to run on your phone. As it shows the support page there is an outdated list of supported phones that goes up to the Galaxy S9. which is a phone almost 5-6 years old Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
