DateCue Reviews & Product Details

DateCue is a Shopify app that automates product workflows based on dates stored in metafields. Instead of manually updating products when a sale ends, a pre-order ships, or a seasonal item expires, merchants build a one-time workflow — and DateCue handles it on autopilot. How it works: Merchants pick a date metafield (launch date, sale end date, expiry date, restock date — anything), define which products it applies to using tag and status filters, and choose what should happen when the date passes. Actions include adding or removing tags, changing product status (active / draft / archived), sending an email via Resend, or firing a webhook to any external system. Built for real merchants: - Background worker checks every minute, so actions fire on time - Atomic execution with automatic retries on every plan - Full audit log of every workflow run - Soft run limits — workflows keep running even if you exceed your quota, with a warning email instead of a hard block - Supports both `date` and `date_time` metafield types Use cases: - Auto-archive products the day a sale ends - Remove "Pre-order" tags on launch day - Draft expired seasonal products automatically - Send restock notifications when an availability date hits - Trigger external workflows (ERP, marketing, fulfillment) via webhooks Pricing: Free plan (50 products, 1 workflow), paid plans from $9/mo. 14-day free trial on all paid plans.
