# Which enterprise service bus platforms have proven disaster recovery for mission-critical transaction volumes?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Putting together a comparison of enterprise integration platforms for a piece on resilience and the question of which <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/enterprise-service-bus-esb">enterprise service bus platforms</a> have proven disaster recovery supporting mission-critical transaction volumes is one I haven't found a satisfying answer to yet. Here is what practitioners seem to need most from the enterprise service bus category:</p><ul>
<li>Automated failover without manual intervention</li>
<li>Message persistence and transaction replay across failures</li>
<li>Proven uptime in high-volume regulated environments</li>
<li>Audit trails that support post-incident analysis</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">A few I saw across the category page are:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/mulesoft-anypoint-platform/reviews"><strong>MuleSoft Anypoint Platform</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Runtime monitoring that reviewers say gives early warning before failures compound across the integration layer.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/ibm-webmethods-hybrid-integration-2025-12-05/reviews"><strong>IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Reliable security and end-to-end monitoring across critical workflows with alerts that surface deviations fast.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/ibm-app-connect/reviews"><strong>IBM App Connect</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Independent integration servers reviewers describe as significantly more stable over the years with flexible deployment options.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Have you had to rely on any of these during an actual outage? Curious what the recovery experience looked like in practice.</p>

&lt;p&gt;For mission-critical transaction volumes, disaster recovery depends on more than platform uptime. I’d look for message persistence, automated failover, replay capability, transaction tracking, deployment redundancy, and clear post-incident audit trails.&lt;/p&gt;
