I would love it more if we could access ai feature for free version as well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

I would like to recommend adding a road feature that can be used to create roads because sometimes it is very hard to make roads in SketchUp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent AI Features, Cultural Diversity in Assets"
What do you like best about D5 Render?

I love how D5 Render provides impressive outputs that impressed even my lecturers. The AI features make rendering easier, especially with creating custom textures and settings. The post-processing capabilities are so advanced that I don't need Photoshop, making my workflow efficient. I appreciate the diverse library assets, particularly how they represent different cultures, which aligns perfectly with my studies on cultural inclusion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

I would like to see more free to use resources within D5 Render. As a student, it's quite expensive, and the application for the education edition can take a while to get approved. A more in-depth library, particularly with vegetation, would be beneficial. There aren't any easily accessible trees or common materials like corrugated roof panels without going pro, which makes it challenging for students and my fellow peers to fully utilize the software. "A Fast, Intuitive, and Visually Stunning Rendering Solution"
What do you like best about D5 Render?

D5 Render strikes an excellent balance between visual quality and ease of use. The real-time rendering capability is a huge plus—what you see while working is extremely close to the final output. Its interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy to get started even for someone with limited rendering experience. The integration with popular modeling tools like SketchUp, Revit, and Rhino also makes the workflow very smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

Although the software performs well, it still lacks some advanced features found in more established render engines. Asset management can feel a bit clunky at times, and while the built-in asset library is constantly growing, it’s not as extensive as some competitors. Also, users with lower-end machines might notice performance drops during complex scenes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"D5 RENDER NUMBER ONE"
What do you like best about D5 Render?

I love that it is easy to use without so many complications, that it has an excellent quality of renders and also features an excellent resolution for virtual tours. It has helped me a lot over the years with my projects. Honestly, I am super happy with this render. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

The only thing I don't like is that there is a need for more people and animals in the free category to enhance my renders much more and not be so repetitive, because honestly, the monthly or yearly subscriptions in D5 are somewhat expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Realistic and agile visualization, ideal for students and professionals"
What do you like best about D5 Render?

What I like most about D5 Render is its intuitive interface and the speed with which high-quality results can be obtained. It allows for real-time work and making visual adjustments quickly, which is essential in the design process. The library of materials and objects is very comprehensive, and the ability to link it directly with SketchUp greatly streamlines the workflow. It is ideal for both academic presentations and real assignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

The least useful thing is that, on mid-range devices, it can sometimes become somewhat heavy or slow in very loaded scenes, and it requires certain manual adjustments to improve natural lighting. I would also like there to be more customization options in some elements of the library, especially vegetation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Game-Changer for Real-Time Architectural Visualization"
What do you like best about D5 Render?

The most impactful feature is its real-time ray tracing capability. The ability to see a photorealistic final image while you work, without waiting for long renders, completely revolutionizes the design workflow. The user interface is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to learn and master. Furthermore, the built-in asset library is vast and of stunning quality, and the seamless LiveSync with software like SketchUp and Revit makes the entire process from model to final render incredibly efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

The most critical issue for Brazilians is the software's pricing model. D5 Render operates on a USD-based subscription, which creates several financial hurdles:

Direct Cost in USD: The D5 Pro subscription is $38 USD per month or $360 USD annually. With a high and constantly fluctuating exchange rate between the US Dollar and the Brazilian Real (BRL), the final cost becomes very expensive for local users.

The Impact of Taxes (IOF): On top of the exchange rate, all international credit card purchases are subject to a federal tax known as IOF (Imposto sobre Operações Financeiras), which is currently around 4.38%. This further inflates the final price.

Practical Example (July 2025): An annual subscription of 360USD,atahypotheticalexchangerateofR5.50, would already cost R1,980.00.AfteraddingtheIOFtax,thetotalinvestmentrisestoapproximately∗∗R2,067.00**. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Realistic Results and Easy to Use"
What do you like best about D5 Render?

I really enjoy the ease that D5 Render offers to achieve realistic results without having to invest too many hours. It's amazing how its reflections and highlights are handled in a way that brings architectural visualizations to life, which is essential when presenting projects to clients. Additionally, the ease with which I can create natural environments is one of the features I value the most. The initial setup is very intuitive, which allowed me to start working without difficulties. These stellar features made me switch from Lumion to D5 Render in search of greater realism in the results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful VR and High-Quality Renders"
What do you like best about D5 Render?

I think D5 Render provides amazing rendering quality and is very easy to use, making it highly recommended for design professionals. The virtual reality feature is a powerful asset, as the VR presentation system accelerates decision-making and strengthens our sales power. It's also easy to set up and works correctly with 3ds Max. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

I dislike that the VR presentation feature in D5 Render is included only in a paid package, which restricts its use. For example, with Unreal Engine, we can use the system for free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"D5 Render, my Top Choice for Visualization"
What do you like best about D5 Render?

What I appreciate most about D5 is the perfect combination of speed, realism, and ease of use. The real-time rendering engine delivers outstanding results almost instantly, which makes the design process much smoother. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, so I can focus on creativity instead of spending too much time adjusting technical settings. It’s refreshing to work with software that allows me to achieve professional-quality results in such a short time. For me, this is what makes D5 stand out as my go-to rendering tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

There is very little to dislike about D5, but if I had to point out something, it would be the need for an even larger library of models and materials. Since I often rely on these assets for my projects, having more variety would make the workflow even stronger. Another feature I would love to see in the future is an AI enhancer for interiors, which would further push the boundaries of quality and efficiency. That said, these are minor wishes compared to the overall experience, D5 is, without a doubt, the best renderer for me right now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
