# CDK vs Tekion vs Gubagoo for automotive digital retailing: which platform gives dealership sales teams the best mobile app experience for closing deals on the lot?

Quick take first: based on the reviews, none of these three has a mobile app reviewers are genuinely enthusiastic about for closing deals on the lot, which isn't the answer anyone wants when comparing CDK, Tekion, and Gubagoo for that specific use case as automotive digital retailing platforms. Here's what the reviews actually say.

CDK: reviewers are the most direct here, describing the phone app as unable to show most customer history, crashing often, and feeling poorly optimized, to the point that one reviewer said it's almost not worth using.

Tekion: reviewers mention a more capable mobile CRM experience is still in beta at the time of their review, which suggests the current app hadn't fully caught up to the desktop platform yet.

Gubagoo: reviews don't describe a mobile app for reps at all. Its product is a website chat and messaging tool, so it may not be a fair fit for a closing-deals-on-the-lot comparison in the first place.

Has anyone actually closed a deal from a phone on the lot using one of these three, rather than a tablet or a desktop back at the sales desk? I'd be curious whether that experience matches what the reviews describe, or if it's better than reviewers give it credit for.

Honestly, mobile is still a compromise across all three. Tekion is closest to a usable end-to-end flow, but most teams I’ve worked with still bounce back to desktop for final deal structuring. CDK’s mobile gaps are well known. Are your reps truly closing deals on mobile, or just advancing conversations before switching devices?
