## Cybrary Reviews
  ### 1. Scam

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oscar M. | Sr. Security Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Cybrary?**

Auto renewal with no customer awareness and no REFUND!!!!!!!!

Nothing. They are heavily focused on earning revenue and doing whatever it takes to take your money. It's really sad how desperate they are. It's not going to take long for the word to spread among IT folks and help others avoid this small deceiving company.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

Not worth getting a subscription. All material is of average quality. After using product for a week, I decided to stop using and focus on textbooks and free online resources that had much more value.

Beware, their sales gimmicks will get you. They auto renewal the subscription and will not refund or speak with you. They are very sneaky and not willing to help the customer.

**What problems is Cybrary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have created problems. In no way have they solve anything meaningful within our society. They are taking money and making customers feel robbed and fooled.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge R. | Security Analyst II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Cybrary?**

They had very good content that assisted me in my career.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

Their Customer Service is terrible. I canceled my Pro subscription last year. Lo and behold, I was charged for a new subscription on the 8th. I have called them multiple times to discuss this. Every time I call, I get an answering machine. I have left multiple messages (at least 10). I have yet to hear from them, so I have had to take this up with my bank. Hopefully, this won't happen again next year.

**What problems is Cybrary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm trying to get my payment re-imbursed.

  ### 6. Cybrary is a great place to start learning IT and Cybersecurity.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karim bakhsh A. | English Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Cybrary?**

I really love the labs at Cybrary because they offer a real-world scenario and situation. They are really useful and make the theoretical concepts stay longer in my mind.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

There are two things that I dislike at Cybrary. The first one is the interactivity on the course itself. There can be a comment section under each video of a course, for example, so that way learners can communicate and exchange ideas and information with each other. Although, it has a Slack community for the learners having learners and mentors in one place, but adding a comment or discussion section down the video would have been greater. There second thing, at least in my point of view, is that some course contents are abstract. I can't say that is true for majority of them and not even the minority because I have experienced it in only one of the courses I have taken so far. Personally, the CCNP Switch course, which I have taken and completed, was explained a bit vague, but the hands-on section helped me learn them.

**Recommendations to others considering Cybrary:**

Cybrary is a great place for beginners and professionals. When I started first at Cybrary, I was a total beginner. I personally recommend it for beginners, for professionals know which path to take, but those people who just stepped into the tech world sometime lose the track of everything and get deshoptructed, but Cybrary can lead them to the correct path, and help them get to their hopes and dreams. It has something for everyone, so anyone at any level willing to learn IT and Cybersecurity can join Cybrary.

**What problems is Cybrary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been getting better at IT since I have joined Cybrary, and I am learning new concepts day to day. It made me get motivated about learning the IT and Cybersecurity stuff. Besides, it helps me build my career path throughout the time.

  ### 7. Cyber Security Platform for today

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kapil B. | Technical Content Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Cybrary?**

Although I am not a premium member of cybrary but I had seen their courses. Everything is explained in details. Also cybrary has a virtual lab experience where you can practice your skills too.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

There is nothing at now which I dislike. Everything is well maintained

**Recommendations to others considering Cybrary:**

If you came here from a different platform, then congrats you have taken a right step for success. Cybrary provides you with all you need.

**What problems is Cybrary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cybrary is the best platform for beginners as well as for experienced persons to learn or enhance their skills.

  ### 8. An excellent cybersecurity learning platfrom and resource center for gaining new skills

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mason B. | Software Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Cybrary?**

The best aspect of the platform is the learning content is free and high quality. The platform aligns individuals with the needed training and practice to get an entry-level job. I regularly log in and take a course and complete a lab exercise. I assign courses and micros classes to my networking and software engineers to enhance their skills. I can use the platform to validate their learning and direct them to apply their learning in the real world. The added benefit of using this type of platform is that there is always new and evolving content.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

The one aspect of Cybrary that I do not like is the type of content. Most of the content is tailored to concepts and practical lessons. A great value adds would be courses that a tech stack specific. Such as securing Windows servers and Linux Servers. Another technical aspect that is disappointing is the video player. The player works well but I am unable to save my viewing history in the video so I can quickly return to a specific point.

**Recommendations to others considering Cybrary:**

I would recommend determining what skills your organization/team/business needs. Cybrary is a platform for gaining practical skills and taking exams. If more managerial or leadership skills are needed, then cybrary may or may not help you. I would also check if your team needs industry certifications. If so Cybrary is a great platform for self-study and practice exams.

**What problems is Cybrary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem of cybersecurity skill gap with my employees and teams. I released that there is a way to gradually increase the skills of my team without a large investment. My purchase of licenses for the extended lab saves me training and curriculum creation time.

  ### 9. Great training tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Cybrary?**

The SMEs actually seem to be subject matter experts. I like how straight forward they are without a lot of false banter. The courses are in bite sized chunks that are easy to plan around.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

The hands on lab system is not intuitive. You have to back out of the labs and back in to move on to the next module. I'd also like some more memory tools for exams.

**Recommendations to others considering Cybrary:**

I would compare ITPro.tv and Cybrary to see which style of instruction you prefer.

**What problems is Cybrary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm looking at updating my skills and getting certifications. Cybrary in comparison to their competitors seems to be better value for the quality of courses.

I liked that it was free and some of the instructors are fairly known in the InfoSec community.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

Some of the content and classes are a little boring and not as hands-on as I'd like. Some are great. Just kinda depends.

**Recommendations to others considering Cybrary:**

Pluralsight is very impressive and good. I like Cybrary better than Udemy, but the caliber of Pluralsight authors and content, assessments and IQ... I don't see any other offering doing that.

  ### 16. Great online learning resource

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph M. | Bartender, Computer Hardware, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Cybrary?**

The instructors on this e learning site are much easier to understand than other sites. Material is very relevant to the courses that I've taken this far.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

So far I haven't found anything that I dislike. Everything has worked as expected so far.

**What problems is Cybrary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've gained knowledge, as well as brushed up on quite a few different subjects all the while earning continuing education.

  ### 17. Good coverage of the topics but need to have supplemental information

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Cybrary?**

I like that there are explanations of career paths, virtual labs, practice tests, and quick guides. Each feature doesn't limit Cybrary into a specific demogrphic or market need but is pretty expansive in the way you can use their services. They seem to be coming out with new ways to ingest their information and the content is engaging (graphically engaging if nothing else). They recently updated their front end GUI which looks really great, very intuitive, and appealing to a younger audience. The older version was quite clunky and boxy. Presentation is important, especially if the main purpose of this site is to educate users / break down complex ideas into simple and digestible pieces. The pricing is reasonable to expensive, I wouldn't say that anything is "cheap" but there is value in the lower cost courses. I haven't tried the more expensive ones but they look to be a big investment. So unless you're going to use Cybrary specifically for those really expensive courses, then I'd be cautious about selecting among the paid courses / features.

**What do you dislike about Cybrary?**

The price and the depth of content (sometimes). For the most part, an overview is good enough for me but sometimes I need to really understand a topic and it's contingencies / dependencies / relations to other topics.

**Recommendations to others considering Cybrary:**

Utilize the free resources and make sure you look for other places to supplement knowledge when Cybrary doesn't cover it in adequate depth. I keep one window open of Cybrary and another window to google subjects and get more context.

**What problems is Cybrary solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Engaging content for topics that are directly relevant to advancing my career.
