What do you like best about Cryptomator?

Cryptomator is not capable to provide a desktop version thats free whichs a big advantage. It is not able to ensures storage of files by requiring intervention, for unlocking and locking the vault. The user interface is complex to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use encryption tool for your cloud services"

What do you like best about Cryptomator?

Cryptomator replaced Boxcryptor for my business. Not only is the interface cleaner and easier to use, but it is open source and free to use. Most importantly, it works perfectly with both Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive, both of which we use with our clients. I have discovered that it also works with Icedrive and pCloud which is an advantage if you don't want to pay the extra fee for encryption with pCloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cryptomator?

Honestly, I can't think of anything I dislike about Crypotmator. I do worry, however, that the development of the product may not continue as it is an open-source project. If the Cryptomator team discontinued development, we would be forced to look for another alternative, but I have a hard time believing any would work as well. Cryptomator comes at no cost, so you have nothing to lose by downloading it and giving it a try. Just remember that you will need to have a Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cryptomator solving and how is that benefiting you?

I love the Cryptomator has given me a way to encrypt Google Drive (I have never had much confidence in the privacy of documents stored with Google services) at low cost (although they don't charge for the software, I have made a donation to encourage future development). Google directed me to a service called Virtru but it costs hundreds of dollars a year for a subscription that basically does the exact same thing that Cryptomator does for free. Cryptomator is Open Source.

All files are encrypted individually. So, if a file is changed, not the whole content has to be re-encrypted and synchronized – as with many other encryption tools – but only the file that changed.

Cryptomator does not require or offer an account creation.

Simple and easy to use interface.

Cryptomator has made Encryption easy for me, I just drag and drop files in the Cryptomator and it does rest itself! It's never been easier to encrypt your files and then sync them on cloud, so you never lose them while also keeping them safe. What do you like best about Cryptomator?

It is designed to provide safe and reliable protection. I like the protection it gives to all my Dropbox files and I love how easy it is to use it. Cryptomator has a free plan, this is something that I love. My files are totally private and I have the advantage of protecting them at low cost. I only had one problem for the Cryptomator download, due to an error with my operating system. But I have not had security problems or malfunctioning. I also do not have compatibility problems with Dropbox, in general there are no problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
