It would be helpful if the documentation covered the potential pitfalls of this model and explained the areas where migration can be tricky. **What problems is COZYROC Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** We discovered CozyRoc while working through the challenges of connecting to SFTP servers. CozyRoc helped us overcome those issues, and although we’ve since moved on from that particular need, it remains our go-to product when we need to connect to new sources. Right now, we have a project underway to migrate a portion of our data lake to Azure, and we plan to use CozyRoc as the conduit for moving that data. ### 2. The Data Flow Task Plus has been transformative, replacing our inefficient OLE DB Destinations with high-speed bulk inserts, reducing large dataset load times by half. For security, OpenPGPTask that allows file encryption/decryption within the pipeline, removing the need for external PGP tools and PowerShell scripts. Script Task Plus allows reducing custom code. Our notification system improved with Send Mail Task Plus, handling alerting needs with retry logic and dynamic attachments, eliminating the need for custom SMTP logic. The Amazon S3 Task provides seamless connectivity between our on-prem SQL Server and cloud storage, replacing multiple PowerShell scripts and implementing proper lifecycle policies. It is integrated into at least 100 different sql jobs for various types of tasks. Our main usage case is sending/receiving files via sftp, but we do use other features like the APIs, Excel, and scripting to name a few. Overall, the product has become invaluable to us for securely sending data and assuring that we are HIPAA compliant with everything we do. In the instances where we have had troubles - and I must stress that we've had about 2 legit bugs in our decade of usage and most other issues were feature requests - the CozyRoc team has been extremely responsive and has assisted us in getting back up and running again quickly. It is a set it and forget it product that functions perfectly. I would highly recommend the product and the company, as they both do a great job. **What do you dislike about COZYROC Solutions?** Our biggest issue is on the dev side, with how we have our environment configured. If we're developing projects that use CozyRoc, we only have the license on the server and we have to login there to use those features. I understand we are only purchasing software from year to year, but we should not have to use new license key. We have been using Cozyroc for years, and it was time to upgrade the solution to new version of Visual Studio. Their excellent customer support made that jurney easer and reported bugs to development team. This would make it easier for customers to buy. The components make me look like an ETL genius. The system for technical support is completely web-based. For example with the standard SSIS send email task for Sql Server 2016 you can not make a connection to an office mailbox in the cloud. It sounds so simple, yet without CozyRoc I would have to create a script task and rely on C# code to connect and send an email, because the basic task doesn't allow ssl connections. CozyRoc also allows me the flexibility to use variables for many of the ssis toolbox items that I would normally have to create expressions, or worse have to manipulate through the api via script tasks. It really rounds out the SSIS offering from Microsoft with things it should have had to start with. **What do you dislike about COZYROC Solutions?** The only real downfall to CozyRoc is that I have to periodically go out to the CozyRoc website tutorials to answer my question about CozyRoc task properties values. We were having issues with loading bulk data from Salesforce with our existing components but CozyRoc Salesforce Source - Bulk Mode made our life easier, it was able to load millions of data much faster. File Transfer Task and Stream Task combination is mind-blowing, we can achieve many things out of it, like we can stream the SFTP files directly without the need to store it locally and also the support of FLEE Expressions in it. Also, the faster resolution of the tickets by the Support team is much appreciated. **What do you dislike about COZYROC Solutions?** None, till now. It can handle all manner of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) functions to extend what you can do with SQL SSIS jobs, streamlining processes and saving human time and effort. It has saved us time in building our own API's which need ongoing maintenance and just use a well thought out and built set of API's, which are well tested and documented. The subscription includes install to 2x servers which is great as we can have one on our development server and the other on production. **What do you dislike about COZYROC Solutions?** Not much to dislike as it does what it says on the box, it handles every type of connection we have needed so far too. **Recommendations to others considering COZYROC Solutions:** If you need to send or receive data to many 3rd party services from your SQL servers then give this tool a look to see how it can make it easier to achieve and also faster to implement. Don't waste time creating various connectors one by one, or buying many connectors when this one probably covers everything in one tool. The documentation is easy to follow, and you will be up and running in now time. **What problems is COZYROC Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our main reason for purchasing CozyRoc SSIS+ was to allow us to connect into, and send/receive data from SalesForce and our existing SQL/SAP system. It was also used for pushing data into the eBay marketplace to further automate our processes. Although we could have written out our own interface, the time and effort to build that was more than just purchasing this subscription, and then we got the benefit of all the other features within the product allowing us to speed up other projects. The product is updated regularly and is very well documented allowing a quick turn around from planning to implementation. ### 21. The documentation is SPARSE, it can do a lot when used with Visual Studio. **What problems is COZYROC Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** Many of our vendors have been forced to upgrade from FTP, which is included by default with Visual Studio, to more secure methods of the file transfer. Most Notably, FTPS and SFTP. This makes it easy to rebuild what we have with upgraded visual tools. ### 22. Extraction, Transformation, and Loading to and from Salesforce & MS SQL is a breeze. Best part is, the free version is so powerful that you can almost have everything you need with it. The product support team will treat you just like any other customer, free or licensed. **What do you dislike about COZYROC Solutions?** So far, nothing. Not only was the response rapid, but was very well formulated. It helped me get over a design issue I was having.. Tech support even created a small package for me to illustrate a different aspect of a task not normally used. **What do you dislike about COZYROC Solutions?** Obviously, CozyRoc tasks are a little different than the way similar standard SSIS tasks work, but that's understandable because of the added functionality. There is a little bit of a learning curve to some of the CozyRoc tasks. **Recommendations to others considering COZYROC Solutions:** CozyRoc offers a free license on development machines. That is awesome. Put the software through it's paces and get used to the way it works. The components are pretty solid. I haven't had the chance to use 100% of them, but due to the satisfaction of the ones I did use, I'm sure the others would also be satisfactory. **Recommendations to others considering COZYROC Solutions:** Ask questions when you have them. They have great support. **What problems is COZYROC Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?** One thing we were trying to solve was fast loading data into a DB2 database. SSIS out of the box does not provide fast loading for DB2 so that is how I ran into COZYROC.
