Cove only takes minutes to deploy after initial customer setup. The viewing of data reports is extremely detailed yet easy to understand. File restoration and image resotration is a breeze and has been 100% reliable when we've had to use it. **What do you dislike about Cove Data Protection?** The only downside I've had to get used to is that there is not real local backup although you backup as a mirror of the cloud backup, onto a local Nas device. My other issue that is related to this is that being the "local" is a 100% mirror of what is in the cloud, it can often take up your enitre local nas storage space. Super light weight. Forget every other backup I've ever worked with. Most important it works! We had a compromised server restored as VM to a temporary host up and running in just hours, and most of that time was the speed of the download! (Local speed vault copy was also compromised otherwise it would have been even faster!) As the client watched their server get boxed up and sent to their cyber insurance forensics team we arrived with their recovered server! The looks on the client's faces turned from complete resignation to hopeful joy! Priceless. **What do you dislike about Cove Data Protection?** The archiving feature is great! However, one may need to restart a backup in order to reduce over backup size after long periods of time. Immediate and very competent live chat support, they have always supported me very quickly and comprehensively. Integrated in all the most popular operating systems on the market. Really easy setup and use and implementation in a few steps following the online instructions. Even when issues pop up the support provided by N-Able allows us to be able to get fixes quick and update our documentation for it and I personally am a frequesnt user of their support. **What do you dislike about Cove Data Protection?** I do have some pet peeves about remote commands not being able to be entered multiple times in the same dialogue box. It has the right features to provide for easy scheduling and customization of backup features. This allows us to "set it and forget it" when we take on new clients. The Server/workstation backup is great. A pre-seeding option is available if there is a large amount of data to upload initially. Once the initial backup has been uploaded, small increments are taken hourly. Restoring deleted or overwritten files is a breeze and takes only minutes. 365 Backup on the other hand, is even better. Very easy to link in with a 365 tenant, You can have a 365 tenant backing up within 10 minutes of starting. It will back up all Exchange, OneDrive and Sharepoint sites and it's all accessible from one interface. Data is retained for years and recovering data or emails is very straightforward to do. **What do you dislike about Cove Data Protection?** Cove workstation back up has issues with poor internet connections. Everytime we've had an issue we've been able to contact support who have been concise and speedy with their responses which have enabled us to continue using the product. We have rolled out cove to most of our customers at this point and are in the process of adding more customers to the microsoft 365 backup which offers full exchange, teams and sharepoint backup - invaluable in todays day and age. **What do you dislike about Cove Data Protection?** There are only a few things that I find difficult with cove, one of which is the lack of individual chat message history backup in teams, there have been occasions where we've needed to review an ex-employee's chat history for our clients but have been unable to do so and otherwise forced to use Microsoft 365's ediscovery. I additionally wish there was a repository of common error codes/reasons why backups might fail or have warnings so that we could concisely go through and rectify any issues that might be present - many of which can be obvious, but some simply arent. **What problems is Cove Data Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cove is an all in one solution that has enhanced our problem solving when it comes to the recovery of deleted 365 elements or servers breaking down - having all of the tools we need on a simple to use GUI to maintain and test our disaster recovery plans for all of our customers. The ease of profile creation allows us to offer value-adds in terms of RPO's whilst the recovery time, local speed vaulting and generally usable interface means that we can support our customers backup, investigate problems and ensure services run smoothly far easier than previously with the old managed backup solution.
