## Kit Reviews
  ### 1. Easy and Basic Email System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Da Silva Studio P. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I like that you can track the clients that click a link in your email and that you can easily resend or duplicate email content.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I do not like that you can't personalize the emails with colour backgrounds, different spacing, fonts, etc. If you want to make something unique you need to know how to use HTML but most of the time it doesn't work.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to easily send out mass emails to clients. A huge benefit it sending mass emails out to potential new clients whereas a few years ago we had to emails each client directly and it took hours.

  ### 2. Even my 9 year old can do professional email marketing now!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sadie P. | Media & Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I love the simple, easy, and user friendly platform of ConvertKit. Instead of traditional email marketing platforms, where you have to know coding and html to get everything the way you want it, ConvertKit provides a seamless, drag and drop feature, so that even my 9 year old can create professional emails that convert. I also dig the automation feature, which is also drag and drop, so I can see the whole layout of my funnel. After mailchimp and a whole heap of traditional, free email marketing options, ConvertKit is hands down my favorite. I really don't know how email marketing could be any simpler, or how it would be simple at all, if it weren't for ConvertKit.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I do wish there were more design features for email templates. The email itself can come out looking too plain and too simple at times. I'd like to be able to center my design and make my emails look more colorful and such. It can be frustrating if you're into colors. Or even if you want to change your font. This is a feature I'd wish they'd upgrade. But otherwise, I'm happy with ConvertKit and still think it's worth it.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've solved problems with analytics and coding. Before ConvertKit, I had to use multiple platforms and software to get everything done. But with ConvertKit, I can look into hard analytics (who is clicking what and when, keywords, etc.), skip the coding (drag and drop design), see and design my business as a whole (automation and funnel drag and drop feature), and do it all in one place, so now I can move more of my energy into other parts of my business.

  ### 3. Love Convertkit - SO easy to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda T. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Convertkit makes it SO easy to segment our list and send emails to the exact audience we want. We switched to them for this reason and couldn't be more pleased. Tagging, sequences, automations, visual funnel builder...just love them.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Once during a launch, they had some tech glitches that was hodling up emails from going out, so that was very irritating. Thankfully we got a hold of them and they manually pushed the email out.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

They're very easy to use and I recommend them to anyone feeling overwhelmed by their current CRM software.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Segmenting our contacts, nurturing them through sequences that are easy to automate, and making sales.

  ### 4. Great open rates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jennifer l. | Website and funnel designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I like how when I was sending emails out with convertkit, I got a 23% open rate. That may sound low, but I read the average is about 10% now! I have been using it for almost 2 weeks now and have found it to be a good solution for email marketing.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

They don't allow you to import a large list, which sucks because it stopped us from testing convertkit with most of our customers. However, with the small sample we were allowed to import, it performed well.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to send emails automated instead of writing individual emails which allows marketing at scale.

  ### 5. Best email software I have ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juli C. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Makes sending automatons so easy. Also makes adding people to your list easy with a simple form.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Took some time getting used to. Make sure to watch videos.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Do your research and find what works for you. I find the Convertkit is good. Some of my mail goes to spam when sent, so you have to be aware of that.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

emailing marketing and automation.

  ### 6. Convertkit - The worlds BEST email marketing service for bloggers. Period.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** M H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

All the features that you want to have as a blogger/marketer are right where they are supposed to be.
An easy to use interface, great help system and pre made forms. For beginner and advanced businesses this is exactly what you need.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

It is hard to list something to dislike, as convertkit pretty much has all of the features you want in mailingsoftware. If anything, the addition of extra templates would be nice.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

A super easy to use email service even for people with low tech knowledge. Simple to set up and live within seconds. All the features you are looking for as a beginner, intermediate or expert in marketing online.
The integrations with other software like WordPress makes it a click and go email service. Automations are a breeze to set up. Very visually appealing, and super easy to edit when necessary. A great way to keep all the mail sequences live and still have the ability to change things.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching my audience at the right time. Delivering great emails with no tech issues that take time.
Setting up an email sequence that welcomes new customers to my services really takes of the load of my workflow. It is a one time setup, and it will work forever.

  ### 7. streamlined interface (once you get used to the jargon)

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan C. | founder, editorial director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Convertkit is best for those who want to write streamlined, text-only emails to their users. While it offers plenty of formats for things like landing pages and in-post CTA's, the emails themselves are very simple. No designs, no templates. Just text like you're emailing a friend.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

The move over to Convertkit can be a bit clunky if you have several lead magnet journeys, but the team is very accessible and responsive over Basecamp, so as long as you're in contact about the transition process, you'll be fine.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

As long as you have over a certain number of newsletter subscribers (5k? something like that), they'll move you over from your current email provider for free, which is great.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved over to Convertkit from Mailchimp because despite Mailchimp priding itself on ease of use, we found it ultimately too complicated to customize as we grew. Convertkit's emails are simpler, but the visualization of email journeys is much easier to work with.

  ### 8. Meh

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelley B. | Lead Editor, Consumer Goods, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

One of the advantages of using Convertkit is the organizational aspect. I managed several email marketing campaigns for a client, and I had the ability to maintain each one with the dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I wish there was a feature that would allow you to work within a post, but also allows you to actively scroll the content listed on the left.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Ensure you keep track of incomplete posts in your content sequence.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of managing campaigns in one space has proved to be very helpful to me, and the client.

  ### 9. Incredibly useful and easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

It’s EASY to use for such a complex and powerful marketing program.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I wish i could export old broadcasts more easily than copying and pasting individually, and see the relative reach/effectiveness at a glance.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Definitely try it! I’m not tech savvy and I switched to CK from Mailchimp in like 2 hours. Max.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting with audience regularly. I need to make sure I’m getting through to my audience so they’ll connect with me, and vice verse.

  ### 10. Great email software marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexx H. | Alexx, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I love Convertkit for scheduling and keeping track of subscribers.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I don't like the mobile use. It's a much better program to use on a desktop.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Planning emails in advance is something that I didn't realize I needed before Convertkit.

  ### 11. For bloggers, ConvertKit is your unicorn

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan C. | Library Director, Libraries, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

ConvertKit keeps it incredibly simple to send broadcasts and share your content with new ways to improve and scale without getting too complex.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

If you have a more complicated need with existing automation (let's say for eCommerce), you may need a different system.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

ConvertKit is clear about who their target audience is, but that doesn't mean more people can't use it. Get in touch with their amazing support team – they will give you personal attention to support your journey with the platform.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ConvertKit to deliver a welcome sequence to each subscriber individually, based on why they signed up for my email list. I also use ConvertKit with my clients to manage their lists.

  ### 12. Convertkit- great product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John B. | Yoga Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I adore the straightforwardness of Convert Kit. It gives me a direct method to alter my email list. I am ready to label people, place them in areas and send messages out that pattern explicitly to that crowd. We can likewise set up email successions to new supporters. The robotization instruments will take another endorser and enable us to label them into a succession, and afterward channel them through each email and spot extra computerizations to that email. On the off chance that they didn't open an email we can set them up in a succession requesting their assistance to make an item all the more fascinating. In the event that they opened an email we can put them on a spot to buy an item. There are incalculable choices that the mechanization apparatuses give.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

The main thing I loathe is the manner by which dated the structure formats look. I despise that you can't make them look smooth or truly tweak the content size, position, design, and so on. It looks dated. For a stage that has astounding highlights, it would be extraordinary if what our clients saw is in the same class as what we see and work with toward the back.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

It's a generally new player, and their emphasis is on straightforward messages. In the event that you need extravagant ish formats and combinations with a million different administrations, MailChimp may be better for you. Be that as it may, in case you're searching for a minimal effort passage into endorser/tag-based administrations, and needn't bother with anything horrendously showy, ConvertKit is unquestionably worth considering.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConvertKit takes care of the issue of staying in contact with individuals who need to get notification from me. It's an extraordinary answer for individuals who have outgrown MailChimp (or who are tired of paying twofold for endorsers) yet needn't bother with the intensity of InfusionSoft. ConvertKit makes it simple for me to label endorsers dependent on the moves they make when perusing my messages and this gives me a chance to make content dependent on those activities. All the more critically, it gives me a chance to make offers to individuals dependent on their activities.

  ### 13. Convert Kit is a dummy proof automation tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Everard B. | Business Analyst II, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Convertkit has been a God send tool. The simplicity of making automations and not feeling overwhelmed in the back-end is hands down my favorite element of Convertkit if I had to rank the greatest element. Aside from the automation simplicity comes their customer service team and the countless resources that they provide to assist you with growing your email system.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

The only thing that stands out as a dislike is that there are a lot of limitations with their email editor. I think having to occasionally having to use html does not align with their "simplicity" business/product culture. If I have to be honest, I think they could have possibly added another price range for people starting out. Maybe something along the lines of 10-15 dollars per month for beginners with a list of 100 or less.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

If you want to use an email automation system, but your reservation is tech saviness, Convertkit is a no brainer!

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Convertkit has been a God send tool. MY journey began with Get Response and Aweber. Aweber was the old legend email marketing software that helped me to get the ball rolling in my business. I switched to get response because they had automations, however, the automations were far too complicated to keep my loyalty and that is what caused me to finally land with Convertkit,

  ### 14. Not the most intuitive or full featured, but works

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Kit?**

ConvertKit is barebones. It's simple. It's not made for people doing complicated list stuff.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

It's simple. It's not made for people doing complicated list stuff.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

ActiveCampaign has more value for the money, fantastic support and ease of use. ConvertKit is fine, but you will hit walls.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emailing and organizing my contacts

  ### 15. Best bang for your buck

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

What I like best about ConvertKit is it’s automation. It’s self-intuitive and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I switched from Infusionsoft and their customer service was second to none. I wish ConvertKit would up their game to answer questions quicker as I usually don’t have the time to wait around for technical questions.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConvertKit has allowed me to stay in touch with my email list. It gives me open rates, click rates, and other pertinent information I need to make sure my emails are performing. I haven’t used this feature, but I like that I can split test subject lines.

  ### 16. The best Email Marketing Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I've used countless email marketing platforms for my own business as well as for clients. ConvertKit is my favorite! The interface is great and easy to navigate. That may be one of my favorite parts of it. They've put so much effort into creating a beautiful product.

The opt-in forms and landing page templates are beautiful, making it a great solution for anyone who wants great forms on their blog, but doesn't know the CSS/HTML to customize it to match their brand. By far the best email marketing tool for bloggers.

Creating sequences and automations is easy, but still incredibly robust, so I can do everything I need .

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

My only complaint is that I didn't think the support from one ticket was great. It didn't fully answer my question about why I was getting bots subscribing to a list. But this was only one ticket and potentially a pretty complicated / out of scope request so I wouldn't let it deter anyone! But I would recommend that they really try to give the best support possible to customers to really stand out from the rest of the email softwares out there.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ConvertKit to capture leads and subscribers on our blog. We've seen great conversion rates from our email lists and I couldn't be happier! Email marketing is must for all bloggers and ConvertKit makes it easy!

  ### 17. Powerful and intuitive

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

The visual automator is amazing and super easy to use

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

“Prettifying” emails isn’t particularly easy

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The organization of campaigns is great and being able to run multiple campaigns at the same time is easy. We’ve experienced 40-50% open rates.

  ### 18. ConvertKit crushes the competition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom C. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I've used Mailchimp, AWeber, Drip, and countless others over the years.

Simply put, ConvertKit gives you as a blogger/online business exactly the tools you need and their e-mails actually land in your subscribers' inboxes!

The tools are easy to east and it is simple to set up. Their automation is very simple.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I would love a lead scoring system like Drip has, but there is nothing that I particularly dislike about the service.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Do it. It is the best one. Active Campaign may seem like an enticing fit for all of the automations, but trust me, unless you're selling a ton of products it isn't worth it. You need your email management to be simple and easy to use.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email marketing that works. It has helped www.tomcampmedia.com a ton!

  ### 19. Makes Automation and Sequencing Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Email sequences are phenomenal. As a blogger and a person that writes ecourses, it's scary thinking of all the things that could go wrong. With ConvertKit, I feel like the instructions and the ability to preview the emails are so good that I can trust my emails will launch correctly without a doubt.

The instructions on each page are phenomenal. They have a video on each page talking about potentially confusing topics and an extensive blog that answers all your questions. ConvertKit makes me feel in control of the moving pieces in my content and I love that!

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

The only thing I dislike is how dated the form templates look. I hate that you can't make them look sleek or really customize the text size, position, format, etc. It looks dated. For a platform that has amazing features, it would be great if what our customers saw is as good as what we see and work with on the back end.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConvertKit puts your product straight in the inbox of potential customers. It eliminates the step of having them go to your site first.

  ### 20. Not worth the price

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katelyn T. | Nanny, Individual & Family Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Easy integrations with other platforms and programs

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

It’s super expensive and I don’t find that they have many more features than free email marketing programs

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing my email lists

  ### 21. The Way Marketing Is Done in 2019

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis J S. | Entrepreneur, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I have been using ConvertKit for over 3 years and I like the quick service and that CK is always listening to users and adding new features. It's so easy to use!

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I wish that I could send messages by time zone. I can't think of anything I really dislike about ConvertKit.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

I would recommend that you go to their website and start with a free trial.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm growing my business by using email marketing to drive traffic to my websites.

  ### 22. Overall great Autoresponder

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angie E. | Mrs., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

My favorite part of using Convertkit is the tagging system. Convertkit is an overall reliable and affordable autoresponder. I do not consider myself a technically inclined person, but it found my way around this application fairly quickly.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I have had a handful of “glitchy” incidences (i.e.: broadcast did not send immediately, link not working properly in email, etc.) that we’re frustrating. Customer support has always been speedy and helpful though.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Convertkit is my primary autoresponder for my info. product based business. It integrates well with WordPress, and I use it often to create and deliver lead magnets, among other things. It’s an affordable way for me to keep in touch with my growing subscriber list, and it helps me to organize subscribers based on purchases through the tagging system.

  ### 23. Perfect for Solopreneurs and Bloggers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asia M. | CEO & Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

If you're a solopreneur, blogger, or content marketer and you just kind of need something that handle tagging, automation, and intake, ConvertKit is going to knock your socks off.

I remember signing up for ConvertKit (among others) and being wowed by how simple, but robust it is. It's packed with features you'll wish every email marketing platform had. Just makes it super easy for someone without a ton of resources to collect email address, send highly segmented emails, and keep an audience engaged.

Plus, the integration with WordPress was a game-changer for me. I didn't have to configure a bunch of zaps in Zapier or pay a developer to hook up any integrations.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

ConvertKit is definitely a simplified version of something more complex like a Drip or Autopilot. It's not going to be able to handle super complex automations. It's also not true marketing automation (with lead scoring, etc), but that actually doesn't bother me as much.

There isn't a way to see visitor activity (for example, if someone visits a specific page or does something on the website), so it actually makes it a lot more lean.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

I'm not sure what the roadmap looks like for ConvertKit, but I'd love to see features around visitor activity and sending emails based on what pages a visitor has seen or frequency a person visits my site.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a marketer and a consultant, so I recognize the need to build an audience and keep them engaged. ConvertKit has saved me literally hours of time trying to figure out how to integrate everything I'm doing from a website perspective. The integration with WordPress saved me time and money trying to keep my email list integrated.

Plus, I can send emails that have the look and feel I want.

  ### 24. Streamlined and reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I am a fan of convertkit and that it has advanced segmenting and automating features but is still easy to figure out.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

The visual automation tool had glitches when it was first introduced.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can segment emails and personalize them based on previous customer behavior

  ### 25. Changed the way I send emails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen H. | Luxury Brand Strategist & Shopify Expert, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

ConvertKit is so easy to write emails and then schedule them. The Interface is clean plus I don't have to worry about the drag and drop not working because they don't have one for the actual newsletter so I can type, schedule and send. Done.

Another thing is that I can tag and segment my list so that people only receive content they are interested in. Which is super important no one wants to read emails that they don't want.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

They are doing some updates so some new features still have minor bugs but I still think it's worth it over the free systems out there.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Sign up and try out the free trial and really test the features.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With ConvertKit I am able to build stronger connections with my audience and get more personalized. I trust the company and what they stand for.

  ### 26. Awesome solution for our business!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

ConvertKit is KEY to communicating with our audience and generating sales. The ability to create tags and segments based on interests is so important in making sure that we're not sending people information that they don't care about. We love the analytics and the ability to track email performance and subscriber details.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Wish there were a mobile app version of ConvertKit instead of just web-based. We've also had some issues with text formatting (specifically hyperlinks and bulleted lists) but nothing major.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConvertKit helps us connect with prospective and current customers so that we can communicate effectively and drive sales.

  ### 27. Great for tagging and automations!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

This service is great for setting up tagging and automations, especially when just starting out. It has made it very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Landing pages are very basic and not really structured for converting well. Some of the analytics are a little unclear.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Great resource and I highly recommend it. If you have a page builder to create your own opt-in pages, you can easily overcome ConvertKit’s shortocomings there.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to contact my list regularly, keep segments separated, organize webinar sequences and follow ups easily, etc.

  ### 28. Easy newsletter formatting tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Convertkit allows me to draft, format and schedule e-newsletter mailings. I can add images, links, alternative text, etc. I appreciate that I can A/B test email subject lines, and view detailed open rate statistics once a campaign has been completed!

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

The learning curve is a little steep. I wish it were more intuitive at the beginning, but after a few times, you get the hang of it!

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Don't forget to A/B test your subject lines!

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drafting, formatting, and scheduling e-newsletter mailings.

  ### 29. So easy to automate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

What I like best about ConvertKit is it is truly easy to use. I've used other systems, but ConvertKit has a great tutorial, they use layperson's language so I don't feel like I need a degree in CS to figure it out. Because of its ease of use, I've been getting my newsletter out every single week. And, that's huge for me.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

There's not much at all that I don't like. I wish they were better known because when I brought on a team member, she had no experience with it.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helped me with my marketing. I'm staying in front of customers, when before it was a pain to figure out how to send a new campaign, how to segment, and how to interface with my website. I'm able to do all of this myself with ConvertKit.

  ### 30. Great Marketing Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I've only used ConvertKit for about a year and have had a good experience with it. I switched to ConvertKit from MailChimp after hearing so many rave reviews from other business owners. It's email automation features are second to none I've encountered. You can also integrate it with many third parties

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

It doesn't have nearly as many features as Mailchimp. It's also expensive compared to other systems. It doesn't have a landing page builder.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email automation and taking control of my email marketing strategy

  ### 31. Great for email and automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanner B. | Account Manager and Strategist (Marketing), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I love the ability to embed automations on client websites. It is nice to create an opt-in callout box on the site and Convertkit automatically follows up with an email chain.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I often find formatting does not carry over when I duplicate emails. The text often reverts to be smaller or takes on a different style.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned before, we are using Convertkit to embed email automation chains on websites. My team and I have realized this is beneficial for gathering new email addresses and following up.

  ### 32. Easy to use and innovative

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parth P. | Tutor, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

The broadcast and tag combination makes it easy to manage subscribers. I also enjoy the ability to tag and group subscribers into distinct groups, whether that's organizing by subscriber date or by email or by name, etc. This organization lets me email out to smaller sample groups instead of emailing the whole subscriber base and risking many unsubscriptions.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Too many features gets confusing, there are many layers to the software (which isn't bad, it just makes it moderately hard to figure the whole software).

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Use youtube tutorials to understand ALL the features, because there's layers to this. I would recommend also comparing your options as CK is one of many similar products, your selection should be specific to your business needs.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach, subscriber organization, and emailing lists. We're able to tag subscribers easily and efficiently

  ### 33. Great delivery, mediocre support

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

If you are a SMB and looking to send on a non-white labeled email platform this is a good choice. They obtain great delivery and keep a clean reputation.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Customer service is among the worst I have seen in the industry. Weeks go by without a response. Additionally, delivery team is very vague on what they expect to from you (stats and content) which makes it hard to be a responsible mailer.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

If you are a small mailer (less than 100,000 contacts) this is a cheap and excellent platform.

This can still be a viable option for larger senders however your mileage may very with support. The segmentation and template building is not as robust as something that you would see on competitor ESPs. The delivery still remains on top of the industry though.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Achieving delivery to hard to reach subscribers

  ### 34. A ConvertKit Fan

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel K. | Business Process Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I love that I can sendan email to a small list of subscribers who are interested in a certain type of information. This prevents me from sending the email to people who are not interested thus avoiding spam complaints or unsubscribing.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I don't like that there is no drag and drop functionality, because it makes it somewhat difficult for a person without technical skills to adapt to the system.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can get up top of my email marketing needs with Convertkit thanks to their very useful analytics. The statistics provided by them has helped me make excellent business decisions. I can see at a glance if we are experience a dip in our email list, and make changes to increase my list. I can determine where my new subscribers are coming from and they use targeted list-building.

Converkit allows me to see the conversion rate (or how many visitors became subscribers for each list-building optin offer I create.

  ### 35. Fantastic Email Product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

ConvertKit's interface and ease of use are epic. It has all the functionality I need to create great emails. The reporting is really useful and has improved over time as the product has evolved. Their support is exceptional and fast. They have live chat and email support and I've never been disappointed.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I would love drag and drop templates that could be saved and the ability to duplicate emails in a sequence, not just the whole sequence, to save time.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

If you don't need CRM, ConvertKit is perfect.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customers are getting the right emails for the right things and move easily between message sequences. Smart, functional logic helps achieve this.

  ### 36. Subscriber-Centric Email with Tags - New, but Good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan T. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Kit?**

What I love most is that a subscriber can be given different tags based on links they've clicked, forms they've filled out, etc. And then those tags are available for segmentation.

They just unveiled a new visual automation tool. It's pretty powerful and it really helps visualize the paths customers are taking through our email sequences.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I dislike that some simple things are missing from their offerings. For example, it's impossible to add a few radio buttons to an email signup form and have those trigger some tags.

If you're coming from MailChimp, you may notice a few things that seemed super easy on MailChimp that are just missing on ConvertKit. But other than that, it really is a pretty decent platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

It's a relatively new player, and their focus is on simple emails. If you want fancy-ish templates and integrations with a million other services, MailChimp might be better for you. But if you're looking for a low-cost entry into subscriber/tag-based services, and don't need anything terribly flashy, ConvertKit is certainly worth considering.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're sending our email marketing through ConvertKit. We've seen it help us organize our subscriber list, gain new subscribers, and communicate with them (mostly) easily and quickly.

  ### 37. Extremely poor customer service.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlene M. | Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Kit?**

The Wordpress plugin makes it easy to integrate the sign up forms on my posts, pages, blog sidebar. Unfortunately, being unable to import my mailchimp list to convertkit, it is useless.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Their support is not helpful at all. After assuring me that moving from mailchimp to convertikit was "easy" and that "We'll get it working for you! :)" they refused to help when I ran into problems. They moved 171 subscribers but refused to move the whole list of 918 subscribers. Instead, they referred me to their so-called experts who want $500+ to develop a marketing strategy(which I don't even want) after wasting a week of my time.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far, they are not solving any problems for me. Just a waste of my time.
Their support is not helpful at all. After assuring me that moving from mailchimp to convertikit was "easy" and that "We'll get it working for you! :)" they refused to help when I ran into problems. ### 38. Robust Email Funnel Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothy F. | Owner Operator, Media Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I love the simpleness of Convert Kit. It provides me a straightforward way to edit my email list. I am able to tag individuals, put them in sections and send emails out that trend specifically to that audience. We can also set up email sequences to new subscribers. The automation tools will take a new subscriber and allow us to tag them into a sequence, and then funnel them through each email and place additional automations to that email. If they did not open an email we can set them up in a sequence asking for their help to make a product more interesting. If they did open an email we can place them on a place to purchase a product. There are countless options that the automation tools provide.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

The landing pages and the form customization is clunky and hard to edit. There are simple edits you can do but to make something shine, or be eyecatching, you will need to know CSS or html. This is pretty much the worst thing about the Convertkit.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Convertkit is great if you are trying develop quality funnels for your subscribers.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a way to track out subscribers and then market to them effectively. Convertkit does this. It provides AB Testing, and simple to follow analytics so we can develop funnels for all of our resources.

  ### 39. Convertkit experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I like the ease of use and functionality

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Pricepoint is a little high, wish it was lower

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with readers

  ### 40. So much to love....and hate about ConvertKit

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I love the visual automations and tagging. I've used plenty of email marketing tools before -- Mailchimp, Drip, HubSpot -- and ConvertKit is powerfully easy.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Technical problems. So. Many. Technical problems. My story:

So I thought everything was humming along fine until I started getting emails and comments from my subscribers:
'Hey pal -- where's part 2 of the 3-part course I signed up for!'

It seemed that folks in certain sequences weren't getting their emails. In fact, some subscribers weren't even getting welcome emails!

So I complained to support (nice folks) and they said someone was on it. Well 11+ days later and none of the problems have been fixed. So it looks like I'm gonna have to switch to a more reliable email marketing system -- which sucks. Because it was easy to use.

Also: I dislike how when someone finishes a sequence, they call it a 'unsubscriber'. Makes things super-confusing.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If it works properly, it makes it easier to build complex email automations.

  ### 41. Convertkit is my go to recommendation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Military | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Convert kit makes it easy to set up newsletters, email autoresponders (visually) and the A/B testing is so easy to understand to someone who has a huge phobia of tech (like me.) When I was too lazy to set up a website, Convertkit was a lifesaver because they allow you to create landing pages and I was able to start collecting emails before I ever laid a finger on my website. I tried two other email systems before convertkit and the deliverability is waaaaay better. My email open rate went up but my emails didn't change. It's one of the reasons I am definitely sticking with convertkit.

Last, the support with convertkit is amazing!!! They are fast and super polite. There are very few companies whose support I am impressed with but they are definitely one of them. I had a billing error happen around June and they fixed it in less than 30 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Convertkit is missing some crucial things. The template selection is scarce, so I create my own which takes way longer. Seriously, I live for templates and they need an upgrade. I would love if you could set up your own domain like you can in someother programs. especially since you can create landing pages. I really wish the analytics were more detailed. Convertkit literally gives you the basics and thats it. At the very least they need to make it so you can integrate google analytics. I also don't like that I am so limited in the editor. Maybe that's what keeps the deliver rate sky high but I can't even use my brand fonts.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Everyone has different business needs, my only recommendation is do your research. I love convertkit for my business and if you want to switch but you're worried about how much work it will be, don't. They have a migration concierge that makes it soooo easy.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem of being able to send emails that actually make it to my email list. AND having a pretty self explanitory interface so that everything is easy to figure out on my own or look up.

  ### 42. A True Email Powerhouse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan R. | Author, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

ConvertKit is different from other email list providers as it allows you to manage subscribers not lists. It is subscriber based and as such is super easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

There is not much to dislike about ConvertKit, except for the fact that the sequences are not intuitive and difficult to master.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Get it now, no reason to consider any other email service provider.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Click throughs to my website and products.

  ### 43. Very easy to learn and implement campains.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Responsiveness of CS if there are any issues when building broadcasts, forms or land pages.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Limited design for broadcasts and forms.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Great for start-up small businesses looking to analyze and easily implement e-mail campaigns. Provides basic for a to develop and embed in your site, and landing pages that can be easily developed and are very simple.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Conversion rates for emails to determine IRR on email marketing campaigns.

  ### 44. ConvertKit is simple and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annie A. | Founder + Visionary, Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

What's not to like? I like nearly everything there is to do with CK. It's easy, it's simple, it doesn't have a bunch of stuff you don't need and yet it's robust and very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

They've had some growing pains in the past year and things didn't always work as they should.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

If you just want to build a list, email your people and not be overcharged, CK is awesome. If you want fancy email templates, unless you can code your own or want to hire someone to do it, you probably won't like CK. But I'll tell you - CK WILL increase your open rates because their templates ARE simple.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that CK only charges you per email address and not per list/segment.

  ### 45. SO much better than Mailchimp

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristen N. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Mailchimp is primarily a list based email platform where Convertkit is subscriber based. Which spells out to being 100% better than Mailchimp. I can easily organize all different subscribers into different interests, purchased products, and target sending sequences based on so many little things. It's amazing and I can't recommend it enough!

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I wish they were a little less expensive. As a new business owner just starting out I still have less than 100 subscribers and so pulling a $30/month is a pricy, but I know in the long run it will be well worth it.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem it is solving is not paying for duplicate subscribers like I would on a list based platform rather than just paying for subscribers once on a subscriber based platform.

  ### 46. Accessible Email Marketing for All Marketers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caitlin M. | Co Owner, COO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Convertkit is set up in such a way that it is easy to segment different types of people in your email list for maximum benefit to your marketing.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

While there are landing pages and forms prebuilt in ConvertKit that you can utilize, some of the layouts could be tweaked to fit each individual business a little more.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Convertkit doesn't often offer free trials directly from their site, but if you find affiliates, often they have access to a 14 day or 30 day free trial. Just poke around!

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Convertkit is a game changer in marketing automation. In addition to welcome email series and launch or evergreen email automations, you can also send blast emails to your entire list or segment.

  ### 47. Easy Email Automation

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jamie w. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

Simple and Easy to use Platform, particularly like the sequence email portion and option to use tags. List management is easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Too much white space on Forms and Landing Pages, hard to design email templates, forms and landing pages.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplify email campaigns and lists.

  ### 48. Designed by bloggers, for bloggers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asia A. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2017

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I've used SEVERAL email marketing softwares (MailChimp, Constant Contact, MailerLite) for both clients and myself and from experience, can say that none deliver quite like ConvertKit. It has the smallest learning curve of them all, in my experience. Very easy to setup landing pages and opt-in forms and sync them to my WordPress site.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

The price is a little bit more than I was hoping, but I'm happy and willing to pay for it because I truly believe in and enjoy using the product.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am beginning to build an email list for my blog in hopes of turning it into more of a business than a hobby.

  ### 49. ConvertKit make email marketing a breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I love the on boarding experience with ConvertKit. Everything from welcome emails and videos to quick tutorials, to facebook groups. Very nice experience overall.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

I have nothing negative to say about ConvertKit at all.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

Onboarding is great--and worth it!

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

List building and email marketing.

  ### 50. Perfect for When You've Outgrown MailChimp

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle M. | Speaking Business Strategist + Public Speaking Coach & Consultant , Professional Training & Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Kit?**

I love how easy it is to create an automation, tag subscribers, and create sequences. I love being able to target my emails to the most receptive people.

**What do you dislike about Kit?**

Since it is a newer email service provider, there have been times when I've had issues with deliverability and emails not making it to the subscriber. I've always been able to resolve those quickly with the help of support. I don't like that I have to worry about it though.

**Recommendations to others considering Kit:**

If you're thinking about InfusionSoft but feel like too much for what you need in your business, then I'd highly recommend ConvertKit. It's like InfusionSoft light and you don't have to hire someone else to run it for you.

**What problems is Kit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ConvertKit solves the problem of keeping in touch with people who want to hear from me. It's a great solution for people who have outgrown MailChimp (or who are sick of paying double for subscribers) but don't need the power of InfusionSoft. ConvertKit makes it easy for me to tag subscribers based on the actions they take when reading my emails and this lets me create content based on those actions. More importantly, it lets me make offers to people based on their actions.
