Collaboard offers all the functionality that you would like a whiteboard to have (Disclaimer: I am using it in higher ed - other contexts may of course require something else). It is very easy to use; e.g. I can share links with my students and so far I never needed to explain anything (>500 student "tested" it this way). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some parts feel a bit cumbersome, e.g. the editing of locked items. I wonder whether this process could be simplified (e.g. by having multiple layers). Also, i am sometimes not sure what guests can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

collaboard is easy to use. No steep learning curve required. You have the basic collaboration features with some real highlights (e.g. mouse pointer of other users have their name attached to it, that makes working on a map together much easier). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is straightforward to express thoughts with pictures and text. You can browse many internet pictures for internal use, import them easily, add backgrounds, tag boards, etc. So I can create a library of "concepts" that is easier and faster to learn than if it was just "text notes."
