"Easy to Use and Helpful for Everyday AI Tasks"

4/5

What do you like best about Cohere?

What I like most about Cohere is how easy it is to get started. The Playground is straightforward, the documentation is clear, and testing prompts or trying out different models doesn’t require much setup. I also appreciate that responses are generally fast, and the platform feels well organized and easy to navigate when I’m experimenting with AI applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohere?

What I dislike most is that it can take some time to get comfortable with all the available options. The platform is capable, but I sometimes had to dig into the documentation to fully understand certain settings. A more guided onboarding experience would make the learning curve smoother and help new users get started more easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cohere solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cohere helps us cut down the time we spend writing, summarizing, and searching through information. Rather than doing repetitive manual work, we can generate drafts, polish and refine content, and quickly surface the most relevant details. As a result, our day-to-day tasks are faster, and our overall productivity has improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise-Ready AI with Strong Language Understanding and Easy-to-Integrate APIs"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Cohere?

Cohere delivers strong language understanding, high-quality text generation, and excellent enterprise-focused capabilities. The APIs are straightforward to integrate, support multilingual use cases, and include features such as retrieval, reranking, embeddings, and secure deployment options, which together make it well suited for building production AI applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohere?

Some of the more advanced capabilities feel less mature than what the largest AI providers offer, and performance can be inconsistent on highly complex reasoning or coding tasks. For large-scale usage, pricing may also become an important consideration. In addition, certain features can require extra tuning to deliver the best results, especially for domain-specific applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cohere’s Fast, Reliable Models with Developer-Friendly APIs and Enterprise-Grade Security"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Cohere?

What I like best about Cohere is its high-quality language models and developer-friendly platform for building AI-powered applications. The APIs are straightforward to integrate, the documentation is well organized, and the models deliver fast, reliable responses across a variety of natural language tasks such as text generation, summarization, classification, and retrieval. I also appreciate the platform's focus on enterprise-grade security, scalability, and customization, which makes it suitable for production environments. Overall, Cohere helps accelerate AI development, reduces implementation complexity, and provides a dependable foundation for creating intelligent applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohere?

One area where Cohere could improve is offering more advanced model customization and fine-tuning options for specialized use cases. While the platform is easy to integrate and performs reliably, some responses still require prompt refinement or additional context to achieve the desired output. I'd also like to see broader integrations with more third-party development tools, richer analytics for monitoring model performance, and expanded documentation with additional production-ready examples. Overall, the experience has been positive, but enhanced explainability, customization, and workflow flexibility would make the platform even more valuable for enterprise and developer teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cohere solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cohere solves the challenge of building and deploying enterprise-grade AI applications by providing powerful language models that are easy to integrate through well-designed APIs. Instead of developing and maintaining complex NLP models from scratch, developers can leverage Cohere for tasks such as text generation, summarization, semantic search, classification, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation. Its enterprise-focused security, scalability, and reliable performance make it suitable for production workloads while simplifying AI adoption. This has reduced development time, accelerated the delivery of AI-powered features, improved productivity, and allowed teams to focus on solving business problems rather than managing AI infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Nuanced Multilingual Classification with a Clean, Easy-to-Integrate API"

4/5

What do you like best about Cohere?

The Classify endpoint made it surprisingly quick to get a working classification pipeline running without needing to train a model from scratch — we could get solid accuracy with just a handful of labeled examples per category, which saved a lot of upfront data-labeling work. Embed-based classification handles nuance well; text that doesn't fit neatly into keyword-based rules still gets categorized correctly because the underlying embeddings actually capture meaning rather than just matching patterns. The API itself is clean and predictable to work with, and the V2 API's more standardized request format made it easy to integrate into our existing pipeline without much friction. Multilingual support was also a real plus for us — data that mixed languages within the same batch still classified consistently instead of degrading on anything outside English. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohere?

Classification accuracy can dip on categories that are conceptually close to each other, so overlapping or ambiguous labels sometimes need extra example data to get reliably separated — this took some iteration to tune. Cohere's documentation is generally solid but occasionally lags slightly behind the latest API version, so we had to cross-reference the changelog a couple of times to confirm which parameters applied to V2 versus the older API. Pricing and rate limits for the Classify endpoint aren't always immediately obvious from the dashboard alone, so we had to test a bit to understand real throughput at our data volume before scaling up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cohere solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cohere let us automate a data classification task that would have otherwise required manual tagging or a much heavier custom-trained model. The few-shot approach to classification meant we could go from raw, unlabeled data to a working categorization pipeline in a short amount of time, and the accuracy has been reliable enough that we've cut down significantly on manual review of miscategorized entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Reliable Enterprise AI Platform for Production Applications"

4/5

What do you like best about Cohere?

I use Cohere for building enterprise AI applications like RAG systems, AI assistants, and intelligent search experiences. I like how its Command models, Embed, and Rerank APIs work well together to retrieve relevant information from large document collections and generate grounded responses with citations. I'm particularly impressed by its strong focus on enterprise deployments, including secure and private deployment options for organizations with strict compliance requirements. The Rerank API is especially valuable because it significantly improves retrieval quality, making RAG applications more accurate and reducing irrelevant results. Overall, Cohere's enterprise-first approach, with high-quality language models, embeddings, and reranking, provides a well-rounded platform. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy for me. the priving was very okay,, and the support also very good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohere?

Overall, Cohere has been a great platform, but there are a few areas where I'd like to see improvements. The model ecosystem is growing, but I'd appreciate more built-in evaluation and observability tools for production AI applications. Features like detailed retrieval metrics, prompt versioning, response quality comparisons, and latency dashboards would make it easier to monitor and optimize deployments over time. One feature I'd really like to see is a unified evaluation workspace where teams can compare different models, prompts, embedding strategies, and reranking configurations side by side using the same benchmark datasets. That would make it much easier to optimize AI applications without relying on external evaluation tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cohere solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Cohere to build AI applications, improving information retrieval and reducing hallucinations in RAG systems. Its enterprise focus and secure deployments enhance compliance, while Embed and Rerank models boost document relevance before using LLMs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable AI workflows with room for refinement"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Cohere?

What I like best about Cohere is the way its language models can be used for practical tasks such as generating and understanding text, summarizing information, and working with large amounts of business content. I found it particularly useful when I needed to process text quickly and turn unstructured information into something easier to work with. The responses were generally useful as a starting point, while still giving me the ability to review and refine the output when needed. I also like that Cohere is focused strongly on enterprise and business-oriented AI use cases, which makes it feel more relevant for workflows where accuracy, consistency, and handling large amounts of text are important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohere?

One thing I dislike about Cohere is that the quality of the output can vary depending on the prompt and the type of information being processed. For more specific or context-heavy requests, I sometimes need to refine the prompt or provide additional context before getting the result I want. I also found that some outputs still need manual checking, particularly when accuracy is important, so I would not treat the generated response as something that can always be used without review. For someone new to working with language models, getting consistent results can take some experimentation with prompts and settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cohere solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cohere helped me address the challenge of making an AI workflow more consistent and reliable. I mainly used it while building and testing an AI workflow, where I needed to check whether the process was producing reasonably consistent results across different inputs. During testing, I could compare the outputs, identify cases where the results varied more than expected, and refine the workflow accordingly. This made it easier to spot inconsistencies before relying on the workflow more broadly. The main benefit for me was improved accuracy and consistency, which made the overall process more reliable and reduced the amount of manual checking needed. "Enterprise-Ready AI with Strong Privacy and Powerful Rerank Retrieval"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Cohere?

Cohere stands out for its strong emphasis on enterprise needs, data privacy, and robust retrieval tools like Rerank. It feels purpose-built for business workflows, rather than positioned as a consumer chat product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cohere?

The main drawbacks are the high infrastructure requirements for large models like Command A+, occasional literal-translation errors in less common languages, and a tendency to restate data instead of providing deeper insights. For complex enterprise data integration, it also requires significant custom development time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Cohere solving and how is that benefiting you?

It addresses enterprise data privacy and workflow automation challenges by deploying secure, customizable large language models directly within a business’s own infrastructure. This helps organizations analyze sensitive internal documents, automate customer support, and run advanced search capabilities without exposing confidential data to external parties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
