## cognitiveSEO Reviews
  ### 1. Cognizant SEO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umang G. | Programmer Analyst , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Cognizant SEO is recognized for their ability to leverage advanced technologies like AI and machine learning to deliver comprehensive, data driven SEO strategies.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Cognizant SEO gave us completely non technical subject and memorize everything. It was about health care / insurance and God it is the most boring thing in the world.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Only 26% of the people min out domain passed that too by luck where repeated questions they found out from previous takers.

  ### 2. cognitiveSEO is a Game Changer!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emrick F. | Spécialiste médias numériques, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2023

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I've been using cognitiveSEO for a while, and it's truly a game changer. What I appreciate most is its comprehensive suite of tools that make optimizing our website's SEO a breeze. It provides in-depth website audits, backlink analysis, keyword tracking, and content optimization features, which are all incredibly user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

To be honest, there's not much to dislike about cognitiveSEO. However, for beginners, the sheer amount of data and options can seem overwhelming at first. A more streamlined onboarding process or a simpler interface for newcomers could potentially alleviate this. Nevertheless, once you've spent some time on the platform, it becomes quite intuitive.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

cognitiveSEO has revolutionized our SEO strategy. Its comprehensive toolset helps us resolve website issues, optimize keywords, and understand competitor tactics. By providing insights on backlinks and facilitating informed decision-making, it enhances our website's visibility, boosts traffic, and ultimately drives revenue.

  ### 3. Maximizing the performance of my website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo R. | Autónomo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2023

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

What I like the most about this tool is its ability to offer high-quality link analysis. With its Backlink Analysis feature, I can quickly see the quality of the links pointing to my website and detect any toxic links that may be hurting my search engine rankings.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Sometimes the amount of information that is presented can be a bit confusing, and it can take time to understand how to use it effectively. I would also like the platform to offer more customization options to suit the specific needs of my website.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest challenges in SEO is making sure the links pointing to my website are high quality and relevant. With CognitiveSEO, I can easily analyze inbound links and detect any toxic links that may be hurting my search engine rankings.

  ### 4. Not sure what the exact use case is - but definitely inferior to other solutions on the market

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2023

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Not much - it does a lot of things - technical SEO suggestions, keyword tracking, etc. - but it doesn't do any of it nearly as well as other solutions on the market. Feels like a cheap imitation of other products.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

It just isn't as good or as thorough as the SEMRush and Ahrefs of the world. Everything it does feels very surface level and 'light'. Given the price, I'd go with the other solutions out there.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed keyword tracking and technical SEO site scanning/suggestions for fixes. It does provide those things - just not as well or ad thorough and detailed as other solutions.

  ### 5. Good seo tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Helps in real-time keyword ranking and relatively easy to use

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Simple UI, needs more ability to handle complexities, not quite sophisticated yet

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to generate keywords that has helped us in topical clustering of content

  ### 6. Best SEO research software online

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexis S. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

They have their own meta spiders that helps with a deep dive of research. It allows me to discover things about a website or a company you normally would never discover using typical SEO software.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

There should be someone in customer service available to members whom you can talk on the phone with. This should only be for people paying for a subscription.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have their own meta spiders that helps with a deep dive of research. It allows me to discover things about a website or a company you normally would never discover using typical SEO software.

  ### 7. CognitiveSEO has super potential but needs to improve a lot

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan M. | SEO Consultant

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

ConnitiveSEO has the best content assistant. It makes your life much easier by suggesting to include keywords looking at the gaps you might have between your post and the top-ranking posts. It really works and increases the ranking.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

There are a few things that I don't like in CognitiveSEO:
1. Their UI is not really user-friendly. Sometimes you get lost, and it happened to me a few times.
2. The platform is very slow compared to competitors. KW research is too slow.
3. Even though they offer you a 7-day free trial to try all the features, you still have limitations, and their UI is a bit pushy I feel, to make you subscribe - annoying.
4. Their Content Assistant couldn't fetch a URL with over 4k words + media - maybe it's random, but it annoys along with a slow platform.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it's a good tool to check KW gaps between your competitors

  ### 8. My secret weapon

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jethro H. | D, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2021

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I love that it's easy to generate a list of keywords for inclusion and get a general idea of the search landscape without an over-engineered semantic keyword tool.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

I dislike the credits. It feels a little bit like nickel and diming. I just want access to use the semantic keyword research element. I would prefer if the tiers were based on features rather than usage.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving the waste of time in producing content that nobody can find.

  ### 9. Exceptional Product for SEO

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard Selase A. | Applications Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2020

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Its capability to inform you in realtime how your keywords are performing and how stuffed they are. Its capability to measure if your post will rank based on competition for the selected keywords you're optimizing for. Its an amazing tool and extremely easy to use.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

The only thing i didnt like about cognitive SEO is that it gives you feedback on how bad the readability score is but never really tells you how or where to look for a fix.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

CognitiveSEO is a great tool and nothing of its kind ive seen. I'd recommend it any day and time for its quality and the support from Valentin.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cognitive SEO is helping us rank our website based on selected keywords in our niche. It also helps us to get a sneak peak at our competition and gets us ahead but making us know what they're not doing right. We basically fix the faults our competition are encountering and get better at the game.

  ### 10. Too many issues.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Narendra A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Not much to appreciate here. Tool and the team promises a lot but both fail to deliver the same.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Tool promises do run audit for JavaScript based websites but the audit report is full of wrong results.

Their team acknowledges the errors but then they don’t even fix the same.

Tool design is not user friendly and intact they don’t even allow you to remove your credit card details if you don’t want to continue with the product.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

Not worth the time. Better alternatives available in the market.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to run SEO audit for our website. Unfortunately product is not stable and has too many bugs.

  ### 11. All in One Tool for SEO Team and Link Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjunsinh C. | SEO Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2020

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

All the important SEO tools are at one place, Competitor link analysis, Keyword tracking, Website Audit, Link Cleanup, content improvement, site explorer. Their site explorer and content tools is the one, I have been using the most, apart from that, their anchor text distribution section is something that helps me keep track on the keywords I have been using for content and link building.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

At times I have to re-run the report when running the website auditor and some reported lost or bad links are actually live and good links.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

If you a soloprenure looking to take care of your multiple clients (complete SEO), this tool is something you must invest your money.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eye on competitor, website and link health check , rank progress tracking, content generation and keyword ideas, all under one roof

  ### 12. Great all round SEO Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian C. | SEO and Marketing Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

The content optimization tool is probably the best feature of the tool. Content is now more and more important and the tool really helps. Recent updates also made it faster and better.

I know there are things such as IDT TF in it, but I really like to think that the tool actually helps me cover all the topics on the other sites (easy skyscraper) and see important points about my topic that I've missed. It helps me make my content more relevant.

Another great thing is the site audit. It helps a lot with seeing the data visually. Reports are also easy to make and customize.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

As with any SEO toolset, it can be difficult to understand at first. There are lot of resources though on their support page. You can also schedule live demos. Some only need parts of the tool and don't want to buy the full package so they find the tool expensive, but I think it has more value than the price and you can replace multiple standalone tools with it (technical audit, content optimization, rank tracking, link analysis).

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

Schedule a live demo if you have the time. They'll show you everything. If you don't need a section of the tool, you might be able to maximize another instead. Ask the support team, they're really nice.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I analyze link profiles and find outreach opportunities, optimize content, track the rankings of clients, and fix technical issues. Sometimes I also use it for keyword research.

  ### 13. Excellent tools, fantastic team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bogdan P. | BDO & RTD Manager, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

The tools are perfect for almost any SEo task, but also very helpful in content marketing. Their team is great, the support is even better than the tools. I see all the time teams and tools getting ahead, then losing track after a while. Is not the case of CognitiveSEO, they work daily to stay up-to-date to everything that is SEO

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

I'd love them to have a "light" version, something we can use for small projects. Right now, the package is perfect for agencies and for publishers running multiple or big websites, but the world of SEO and generally, of publishing, is crowded with people working on small projects. Is hard fot them to get bigger without proper tools, but also, their budget is very limited.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

I am 100% sure tat CognitiveSEO team will be here and stay on top for decades ahead

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Technical SEO, OnPage optimization and content analysis. I accomplish two things with CognitiveSEO: 1st, I make my work better from the start, but the most important is what I do after: rules are changing, algorythms are different almost every month, and CognitiveSEO helps me check periodically my work to help it comply with all new.

  ### 14. Love CognitiveSEO!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin P. | Topsheet Film and Television Blogger, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2020

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I love that cognitive is up to date with their keywords! They make it so easy to rank up content for Google.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Cognitive has some very advanced tools that are difficult to understand for the novice blogger.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

As soon as you can afford it, but a subscription.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My website has ranked up quickly and can easily be found on the first page of Google for almost all my content.

  ### 15. Great Link Building Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom K. | Technical SEO Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

For the most part, I've used Cognitive SEO as a backlink analyzer and link building tool. The backlink analyzer really helps you to understand the current and historical state of your clients backlink profile, and gives you an idea of how many backlinks you are gaining and losing (plus the trustworthiness of these links).

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

It can be initially a little difficult to understand how to use it and what everything means, but once you get over this initial confusion, you can use everything really easily.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

You can easily create workspaces if you work within different teams, or even if you work with a range of different clients who need to talk to you more regularly than meetings or emails. It's also really great for sharing different assets and files, or even code snippets if you're working with other developers.

You can integrate it with lots of different apps, too. For example Trello or even Google Drive. This means you can talk and comment on tasks or files within the team.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Google constantly changing the way it judges websites, it's more important than ever to be reactive with websites. And so with CognitiveSEO, we can see up to date information on what other websites are linking, and how this could affect the overall trust score of our own clients website. We can also help new clients to understand why they may have lost visability in search, and how to get this back to where it needs to be.

  ### 16. A powerful SEO tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria R. | Project Manager - SPM@MB Program, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2020

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

The tool covers all areas of SEO and provides easily accessible information. I really like the Content Optimiser for helping my pages rank.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

That I cannot make full use of it because of time limitations. I would really like to use the whole tool more often! For example checking backlink opportunities.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keyword analysis, competitor analysis, broken link identifcation.

  ### 17. Great Tool for Link Building & Backlink Analysis

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom K. | SEO Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

CognitiveSEO has probably been the best tool I've used for backlink analysis and link building. Now more than ever, it's important to ensure that the domains pointing to your website are trustworthy and authoritative, and this tool goes a long way in helping you see this. It has lots of information on why some domains are less trustworthy than others and help you decide whether they should be removed completely from your backlink profile.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

When you initially use this tool, as with anything, it can be difficult to fully understand everything it has to offer, although it has gotten better over the years. As an early adopter, it used to be very basic, but now it is a lot better. But, again, I think there could be a slight learning curve for people who are just starting with the tool.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

As I've said above, Cognitive SEO is a great tool for backlink analysis and link building. But, if you have other tools at your disposal that track backlinks, I would also use these as it gives you a complete picture of your website's backlink profile. Without this, links may be missed out that could be toxic and that needs to be put into your disavow file. Basically, the more data the better, so it's good to mix in CognitiveSEO data with everything else.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem we're solving is backlink profile analysis. This is especially important when we get new clients on board, as we're often in the dark as to what their previous agency did in regards to link building. We can get a fresh look at everything and make a strategy from there.

  ### 18. Powerful SEO Tools for Content - A+++ Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** zulkifli z. | Freelancer (Mobile Apps), Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

what I like about cognitiveSEO are the content optimizer and the keyword tool. In the keyword tool, you can compare your content with other websites (based on ranking) in terms of how far you have to go and that is easy to understand because there are scores that are clearly shown. In addition, content optimization clearly shows that most of the content on the web is not optimized, this is an opportunity for you.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

unfortunately, the monthly price is quite expensive, besides the number of research keywords, there is a maximum limit in its month.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found my content should have the opportunity to enter SERP for a keyword because the competition was quite low, but before using this tool I did not understand that the content must be optimized, this was enlightened after I used cognitiveSEO

  ### 19. Great tool for online marketers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateusz G. | Business Developement Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Content optimization tool is the great feature - I would recommend it to every online marketer who wants to improve their content strategy.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Sometimes there are server glitches, which not allow using content optimizer tool.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

It's definitely worth the try.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to CognitiveSEO we have been able to strengthen our onsite content. It's still to early to evaluate if our positions in SERP's improved thanks to CognitiveSEO.

  ### 20. After using Cognitive SEO Content optimizer tool, Number 9 on Google in few hours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zoran M. | SEO and Digital Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Content optimizer and keyword tool give you all possible help in the creation of great content. List of
Keywords you already used, Keywords you should use, keywords you should use more often, alert for keyword stuffing and content ideas via questions that people asked. What you need more?

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Really, I do not have anything to dislike at the moment

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves you a ton of time with keyword research and keyword suggestions.

  ### 21. The most complete suite of tools to help me solve ranking issues I've ever found

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stéphane V. | M., Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I love the Content optimization because it helps me improve my content to please the search engines and to rank better even with competitive keywords.

Their backlinks checker is one of the most powerful one to determine what backlinks I should disavow. I have tested the big ones on the market, and Cognitive SEO is as powerful than Ahrefs on this one (and it found 50% more backlinks than Semrush). No more guessing!

And their audit tool is really efficient, explaining in clear words what I have to do, even about my internal linking, which is a very important information for me.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Not much and that is why I have taken a yearly subscription ;) This is the first time I have spent so much money on one single tool, but I really see the value of it for my daily actions.

II would say that the learning curve is still steep, but nothing compared to their biggest contenders (you know them).

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

I have benefited of a trial period to test the tools and it was a good decision. I didn't see the full potential at first and I was close to miss its value.

Don't do the same. Take your time to test it to the full and to ask questions to the team. They are really helpful, at least Valentin and Cornelia because I don't know the other ones yet ;)

It seems quite pricy at first, but it can do so much things for you... Go for one year if you can afford it.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was hit by negative SEO some time ago and many pharma links are pointing to my site. Now I can disavow them easily because the backlink checker is sending me an email everytime a potential toxic backlink is showing up.

  ### 22. Very nice app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Razvan R. | prof, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Provides a lot of useful information. Is is a very good tool for my students because it helps them with a lot of meaningful information.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Missing a mobile app. Maybe the dashboard should be more complex and provide a lot more information the first time a user visualize the dashboard.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it as a tool for my Pr Online course. It is very useful.

  ### 23. Very good program. Very good Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack F. | the agentsy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Key word optimiser and link tracking as i had a extremely bad score before

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

the small amount of research credits a month, especially when you have to keep refreshing paragraphs to see how your progress is doing.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Key word ranking. Finding out faults with the site

  ### 24. Great platform, great service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad D. | Vice President, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I like the variety of tools available on a single platform

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

I've used several other services in the past and I like them too........ Cognitive SEO was a simple, easy to use alternative that provided data in different forms and formats. No complaints.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

Use the trial period vigorously to see all the benefits of the platform.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The PLatform showed me that the optimation of my current site needed a lot of work, and I'm also able to see competitors' successes at the same time.

  ### 25. Experienced User Cognitive SEO

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher E. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

The site audit tool is really good in giving me examples of where I can improve the website and the content keyword tool is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

The limited amount of site audits you can run per month can be limiting unless you want to pay for the upgraded service

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to improve the SEO rankings of the business, so this has been invaluable so far in improving SEO visiibility.

  ### 26. Cognitive SEO, an underrated SEO Tool (yet)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Cognitive SEO is a fantastic SEO tool for me and my Team. It covers the main and most important core areas for search engine optimization including domain (url) analytics, anchor profile, backlink profiles, toxic links (profile) keyword planning, content research AND content explorer which makes this tool unique on the market. One of the highlights is the content explorer. It is extremely user friendly and helpful. You definitely will not regret it.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

I wish I had used this tool before. I would like to see the cognitive SEO Team more active on social media. That way I could heard earlier about this tool. Because this tool is different then the other SEO tools.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

don't waste your time with findings and test. Use the content explorer tools . fix your onpage seo and rank FASTER and Higher !

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

most important time and MONEY saver is the keyword explorer and the toxic backlink checker. It is so simple.. no other tool provides this feature that simple .

  ### 27. Cognitive SEO is my MUST have tool for effective Digital PR campaigns

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Amelie W. | SEO and PR Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I have been using Cognitive SEO since 2014 and I have recommended it in every place I have worked or done freelance for as well as friends.

The tool is very easy and effective to use. The service from the guys at Cognitive SEO is also 10 out of 10!

Highly recommended tool!

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

There is nothing I dislike about it. It works perfectly.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for Digital PR. ONLY with this tool, I can spot current link earning techniques by our competitors. I also use it to analyse a backlink profile.

  ### 28. Content Optimization Tool is AMAZING!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill W. | Freelance Content Marketer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I use CogSEO for their keyword and content assistant tool. I believe LSI optimization is a hidden key to higher rankings, and this tool has proven it.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Not much. I guess I wish the tool didn't take a credit every time you went back to a previous keyword search, but rather saved what you had before.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

If nothing else, get it for the content optimization tool. You can test it on one article for free and (assuming you have some sort of rankings already and do proper technical SEO - and your content doesn't suck), I guarantee you'll start seeing an increase.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've literally upped my Google rankings with nothing more than a better content optimization score using their keyword tool.

  ### 29. It gives me most of what I need as an SEO-consultant

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

The best feature in my opinion is the keyword tool & content assistant feature. It gives me insights to what I should change regarding my content in comparison to the competition. It makes it easy to write content that rank. Also the tool gives me most of what I need to do my work as a consultant on an daliy basis.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

I haven´t found anything that I don´t like so far, maybe some features are missing but over all im pleased.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CognitiveSEO helps me write content that ranks well. When using this tool I can focus on writing great copy instead of trying to analyse the competition.

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

the acccurate rank reports and the link clouds helps a lot to detect the competitors link cloud and develop the same profile or a better one to beat competitors

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

well the tool have some arrangements to be done specially with the Cognitive SEO winner or loser because it´s not very similar to GOOGLE serp´s but I understand is logical due the lack of resources compared with Google.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

use it mainly for seo purposes exclusively

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

rank tracking
link building

  ### 31. Fresh and valuable to any SEO consultant

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marko C. | Director of Digital Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

1. Visual link explorer in a form of mind map is brutal.
2. The link auditing features are fast and easy to use

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Interface on rank tracking part of the site is not as pleasing as it can be, it should be less clunky.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primary use of the tool is analysis of my client's content, making sure it is well structured and on-pair to perform in SERPs, as well as the link auditing and link prospecting features tool has.

  ### 32. Great all-in-one tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Great overview over the entire website. Descriptive and useful information about current problems and how to fix them. Can immediately check if the problem has been solved. Shows you three most important issues you have to fix for the greatest effect.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Sometimes rechecking if the problem has been solved is not working correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

Great all-in-one tool especially for on-site fixes and keyword management.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On-site optimization. Really useful tool with which we can fix website code for the best user experience and performance.

  ### 33. Awesome Link Building Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel I. | SEO Strategist & Business Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2019

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

CognitiveSEO is a very usefull tool that we work with for each link building campaign we are involved in.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Not so many. An improvement on rank tracking dashboard would help.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Link building campaigns, profile link analysis and audit, disavow campaigns.

  ### 34. Great Competitor to Ahref

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew A. | SEO Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I like the content grading for competitors + the content evaluator for your own content that gives keyword suggestions. The visualizer for the external links is pretty cool too.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

I can't think of a specific thing I dislike at the moment. I will say that the price is a littttle expensive, but I also didn't use the tools for all its capabilities. I found that I still used Ahrefs for some of the functions that Cognitive SEO has, so that the main reason the price didn't seem worth it. I almost wish I could just get the content function and use that.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

I recommend you compare this tool with Ahrefs since that is their closest and biggest competitor. If $100 doesn't break the bank I recommend getting this tool in addition to Ahrefs.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No business problems to speak of. I was able to execute a better pillar content strategy by quickly evaluating the competition while grading my own work in comparison to ensure that I was grabbing the relevant keywords I needed to grab while making my content readable.

  ### 35. Invaluable tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2018

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Rank tracking & the content analysis tools are highly useful.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

It can sometimes fail to render the rank tracking graph requiring you to refresh - really not a big issue though!

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

The rank tracking is really useful. It's also great at identifying bad backlinks & submitting disavow requests to Google if you've had a penalty or some other kind of manual action.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me manually having to track keyword rankings and allows me to see backlinks that often don't show up in GWMT.

  ### 36. Very good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2018

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

The content tool for sure. It's a good way to optimize your existing content. The tool will tell you all the important keywords you are missing.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

The tool is still new for me and I haven't had enough time to explore everything yet.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

Still new for me so can't tell yet. But I already told a few about the content and link analysis tool.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like the content tool as mentioned before, but I also like the Link analysis tool, which I need to use more in the future.

  ### 37. More actionable data than other services

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald E. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Nothing really. Everything is logically laid out in the proper order

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

Take the trial and see if it's right for you

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to find missing keywords on my site, for better rankings. I have not only increased my rankings but ranked for more keywords on the same page

  ### 38. Very easy interface and tools

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I'm not a professional SEO worker but i can say their tools are very easy to use, every SEO data, links, info about competitors website are very well explained.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Nothing to dislike, The trial it was enough for me to understand everything

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I only tried the SEO tools

  ### 39. Complex Tool that Gets the Job Done

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2018

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I was using two separate products for keyword tracking and inbound analysis before a friend recommended CognitiveSEO. It really reduced costs at work and I am happy that I have these two components in the same place. Now I can monitor rankings on both desktop and mobile, keep track of backlinks and organize them by type. Not to mention the other perks that Cognitive has related to the two above.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

The UI is a bit off, but they are currently beta testing a new version. I really needed some time until I could find the way to create custom filters. If it hadn't been for their staff's help, I still wouldn't have known how to do it today.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

Take the tour with one of the staff, to learn everything there is to know about the product. Also, you'd be happy to know that you're speaking with an SEO expert on the other line. All the better for what the tool is about.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our problems are mostly related to tracking our rankings and keeping track of spammy links coming from other websites. So I might conclude that it helps a big part of our on-site, off-site SEO efforts. They are going to create more features for on-site SEO, which I find great. Could hardly wait for the outcome.

  ### 40. Advanced set of SEO tools and metrics with TONS of data and charts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel D. | Founder, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Good set of core metrics drawing largely from Majestic SEO (but far beyond just Majestic's metrics), keyword classification, and risk algorithms. Good analysis quotas for link numbers and total reports (FAR better than Link Detox/LRT). Also many other useful SEO tools for keyword research and content optimization.

Currently Cognitive SEO is both cheaper and better (more features, tools, and metrics) than Link Research Tools/LinkDetox which makes them the best option on the market for link risk analyses, at least for experienced SEOs. As a second tier analysis tool, it far outclasses the basic link index/data services like Ahrefs, Majestic, and Moz/OSE and already integrates some of these services' data.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

- Risk algorithms are less transparent than Link Detox, particularly for the csv export (for those like myself who prefer working from excel over the clunky online web tool). Definitely something they could easily improve on and hopefully do.

- There is no ad hoc analyses feature for assessing metrics on a given list of links (rather than a website's link profile).

- Limited upsells like Google malware listing status and Google indexation check for links is not part of the basic analysis and very costly so I just do this in-house. Hopefully not a practice they expand on since this business practice is what has made their top risk analysis competitor, Link Detox/Link Research Tools, almost completely useless for any company except a large agency.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

If you are a data nerd, this is a powerful service for single-site or multi-site link analyses that outclasses the big competition. It also has good keyword research and content analysis tools, although it lacks an ad-hoc link analysis feature.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Google penalty prevention and recovery (both manual penalties and algorithm penalties): the main focus of my business.
- Competitor analysis (VERY powerful comparison features)
- Keyword research
- Improving existing on-site content (new promising content tool)

  ### 41. Amazing SEO Tool for Any Level

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter M. | Owner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2018

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Cognitive SEO Tool is one of the tools that launched my business into Full Time, I am looking to hire staff now becuause of what this tool can do. Never has been a time like this to get into SEO Consulting I use along with SEMRush for my SEO Full Time Business Now. Before this tool came out I was on page 2-4 on average. Now CognitiveSEO is a Solution to Keep in your Toolbelt. CognitiveSEO Represents 50% of my SEO Toolbox.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Nothing at all. Maybe hide it from the other SEO Experts LOL

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

Try the 2 week trial, you will rank. No if''s and or butts about it

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dominating SERPS

  ### 42. Good SEO tool, specially for backlinks analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enrique C. | Director Operaciones. Consultor Marketing Online SEO SEM Adwords Bing Analytics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2017

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

It is a tool completely focused on linkbuiilding, both outgoing and internal links of a web, leaving aside everything else as ranked keywords (more typical of SEMrush) or organic traffic (more typical of SISTRIX). It is different from Majestic. With it you can know the speed of entry of your incoming links.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

On the one hand, the price. It is a slightly expensive tool if you only want to control a couple of websites or if you have very few clients. But you will amortize it fast if you work with enough websites or you have many clients. The second drawback is its complexity. It is a tool that is hard to handle a bit at first and requires some time to get used to.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

I recommend you take the 15 days trial and see if the tool meets your requirements

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically we use it for linkbuilding, although it also has utility for analyzing content and tracking keywords.

  ### 43. Best seo reports i ever used

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

better mobile or mobile app support could really help

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

very recommended

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

many project running and monitoring on the same time is a real mess and time taking. after started to use cognitiveseo i really saved lot of time monitoring my projects!

  ### 44. Great tool for seo analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amir K. | Director of IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Ease of use and the automatic reports...

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Nothing really. It had more tools than i needed

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Haven’t used any other tool yet. However cognitive is relatively easy to use.

It helped me recover from an seo hack.

Highly recommended.

  ### 45. Prevent peridiocal Negative SEO and improve keyword ranking.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josep L. | Head of R & D, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2017

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

We started using it after detecting a huge negative SEO attack. It helped us not only to take control of backlinks and recovering from periodical attacks, also helped us improving the contents and giving ideas analyzing contents from other website. Good website application usability.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

It covers about 80-90% of our needs. At the begining you have a lot of features and for us what quite difficult to take control of what really we needed. They provide a 1-2 hour meeting where they explain most common features what is really welcome. After some weeks you get more control and what initially you expend 6-8 hours you do in 1 hour, considering the SEO complexity itself, I think the learning courve is acceptable.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

I have tested a lot of SEO tools in deep and you will not find on all of them all the features you need and probably if you find something that covers all your cases will not be so deep as you need. If you are looking for backlinks control, keyword ranking in combination with content building analysis tools this is one of the best and easiest to be used I found.

You can also compare your global position with your competidors and following - more or less - what are they doing, the backlinks what have more influence etc... in combination with website explorer tool what I prefer for punctual strategies. For me following weekly backlinks is much hard rather than find more qualified and where are they ( this option provides us ideas and understading new ways of promotion ).

Finally these tools need to expend some hours to take control and more for understanding what are you looking for and on what are you really might be interested. All depends on your real needs, sometimes you ignore what are they and for what you should looking for.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unfortunately we have periodicaly Negative SEO Attacks ( it's a very tedious scenario what each year it repeats again an again in a specific months, usually when there's more commercial activity, not casual scenario ), it help us to take control on it. Also helped us on contents analysis and rank position.

  ### 46. New user and I think it's a terrific product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M. | Owner, Executive Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2017

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I did trials for a few SEO services and CognitiveSEO was the only one I considered becoming a paying customer for and it wasn't remotely close. Generally what I love most about it is that it's simple to use and intuitively gives me everything I could want in a product like this and then some. And there's a new keyword tool that optimizes content you write for keywords. That, which wasn't even there during my trial, is an amazing tool that basically is worth the price of admission itself. I feel like this product is going to work so well for me in beating my competition I almost feel bad for them. Almost.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

I haven't seen anything so far I haven't liked. I'm not 100% sure on exactly how thorough the crawl works for finding links but I'm not sure those are ever fully accurate.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

This product offers a terrific product that also gives you that small company special attention. Best of both worlds.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love being able to see ideas for links from my competitors, I love knowing how to optimize my written content (including my home page which I now know wasn't very optimized), it's great to be able to track progress with my rankings, and it's great to be able to see social media information.

  ### 47. Awesome tool for research on backlinking and content improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bogdan C. | Online Marketing Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2017

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

I started using this tool after I realized that I need to put in place a backlink strategy in order to improve our visibility, and I love the fact that it offers very detailed reports about pretty much everything - from keyword ranking evolution to data extracted from Google Analytics. It's a great tool to analyze the links that you and your competitors have.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

It's a bit difficult to get used to in the beginning, especially if you're new to SEO, but they do offer several one-on-one sessions to explain everything you need. They also organize webinars with GCPs and tips & tricks, which I found really useful.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I managed to generate several backlinks in a rather short period, as well as improve the content on several key pieces of content that bring us a lot of traffic.

  ### 48. Awesome tool for people who know how to SEO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lukasz R. | Cofounder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2017

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Integration and analysis of the data from other sources - key selling point in CognitiveSEO for me is how visual is the data and how you can go from diagrams/trees/charts to raw data. Disavow generator is really nice, competition comparison too. Also they've just added content analysis tool which kicks ass! I can throw away few other tools and use only this one for most of my SEO needs.

Nowadays there are a lot of large tools, integrating a lot of features that everyday SEO expert needs - you're probably aware of MajesticSEO, Ahrefs, Moz, etc. but Cognitive is one, that gives you access to all this data and more, and i have a feeling, that it's a bit underrated by s SEO community. If you're looking for SEO tool, that works FAST, is reliable, supports many countries and will analyse data for you - give it a try.

Did i mention API? You can access the data programatically and add Cognitive to your automation workflow - which could be very useful and save you money on integrating the data yourself.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Could use a bit of onboarding experience - i can imagine that it's pretty hard for new users to use this tool - when you're SEO pro, you'll know what to look for, but for business owner, i think it has a little bit to steep learning curve.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content analysis, competition analysis, growing organic traffic

  ### 49. An amazing all-around tool for SEO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikki Marjorie C. | SEO Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2017

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

CognitiveSEO's strength lies in its ability to deliver complete, in-depth data in an easily understandable manner. Its tools are equally simple to use, and covers a wide array of disciplines in SEO. Right now though, I'm really loving their new keyword tool & content assistant feature. If only its uses were unlimited! <3 Anyways, I've I found that it's very, very effective. So much so that our team has decided it's worht a review on our site as soon as our testing is officially complete.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

The UI looks & feels a little antiquated, though that's a very minor personal nitpick. It's still effective nevertheless.

**Recommendations to others considering cognitiveSEO:**

CognitiveSEO is great for both beginners and experts alike - those who want to have a deep insight into how their sites are performing will definitely get what they paid for with this.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The linkbuilders within our team sometimes report that CognitiveSEO may mark certain links as lost even if they're not. I cannot fully attest to this "bug" but it does happen pretty often if it's true.

As for its benefits, it's a great tool for both experts and beginners alike. I've learned a lot re:SEO from using this along with SEMRush when I first started earlier this year, and the same is still true even now.

  ### 50. Recovered old usless content with Keyword Tool & Content Assistant

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel C. | Owner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2017

**What do you like best about cognitiveSEO?**

Using Keyword Tool & Content Assistant from CognitiveSEO a managed to revive some old content pages that where strong on backlinks but the content was outdated. So now I recover old content using their tool.
It was easy for me to decide the content that worth recovering because I could easily analyze the backlinks in the same tool.

**What do you dislike about cognitiveSEO?**

Well, tools are evolving and you need to be one step in front of others. I know it`s hard to develop new options and tools but I hope they keep doing it.

**What problems is cognitiveSEO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Raise organic traffic to lots of clients. Doing backlink analysis, content analysis. SM analysis. The whole suite is great.
