&lt;p&gt;The browser-based options remove a whole class of &quot;works on my machine&quot; problems, but worth noticing they don&#39;t touch the category that usually causes the outage: credentials and scopes. A script that runs fine under the developer&#39;s account and then fails under the service account (or gets re-authorised by someone in another time zone with broader scopes than intended) has nothing to do with OS or dependencies. If anyone answers the setup-error question, I&#39;d love to see credentials called out separately from environment issues, since the fixes are completely different.&lt;/p&gt;
