I have been using it for more than one year, and it still comes out to be pretty helpful. It's straightforward to give styling to any code snippet and provide syntax highlighting for many programming languages. There is one excellent feature it offers of providing multiple themes, which is very handy, providing dark and light themes and styling some famous code editors. It is a little slow as it takes more than 2-3sec to convert a given code snippet and during which if you by mistake click somewhere else, then it fails. Syntax highlighting needs to be improved as still most of the code remains the same color even if they represent different things like identifiers, keywords, functions, and modules. I really like that there are different color themes and the fact that Code Blocks supports so many different languages. Code Blocks is also super easy to install as it is just an add on and installation takes a few seconds and using it in a google doc is even faster. I also like that if you add more code and it goes onto the next page, Code Blocks will recognize this and extend the code segment automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Code Blocks for G Suite? I don't like how google docs thinks that there are spelling errors in the code. This application only has a small defect when used with Google Docs is that it recognizes the text as if it were some error, is a little annoying but what the application provides makes it not noticeable and does not provide any difficulty. Code Blocks allows one to format code directly in Google Docs with the full-feature choices and auto-formatting you'd typically find in a code-oriented text editor. Code Blocks runs on Javascript ( as all front-end Google Apps addons do ) so it's limited by the single threaded nature of Javascript. It is a super simple tool to use and intuitive, the truth is that it allows me to write code of different languages in a very comfortable way and with only having a Gmail account in my name, it is totally free so that it can be used by anyone who thus I want it, it also has great integration with the other applications belonging to the G Suites group which makes it effective.
