"Modern, Easy-to-Navigate UI with Great Support—But Some Gaps Create Extra Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

I find it fairly easy to navigate and the UI/UX is much better than similar tools on the market. It looks modern and easy to follow, especially if you've used PSA tools prior. There are continuous improvements and CMap is looking at pulling AI into various aspects of the workflow. There is good support if you have questions and when tickets are logged there is a quick response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Not enough is connected through the various pages. If you update in 1 place it's not always connected, meaning it can cause duplicated efforts.

We'd like the ability to have a "duplicate" record option through the system, meaning we could duplicate issues or POs or other specific records that would then cut down on admin time and the project managers would just need to do updates to the duplicated records. "Great invoicing and dashboards, but external cost tracking needs better reporting"
3.5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

Scheduling of invoicing is simple and easy to track. Reporting is simple and the custom reports feature is simple to use and allows bespoke reports to be generated.

The dashboards feature allows me to set up simplified dashboards for fee earning staff to allow a snapshot of their position which I can measure them against each other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

The External costs feature does not allow us to monitor expenditure in the same way as Invoicing which is frustrating. We would like a monthly projection of externals spend to be provided on a simple report in the same way as invoicing.

CMAP is also relatively expensive for the amount of the software we use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Energyline Review on Fee Estimator, Task Management, Resourcing and Revenue Scheduling"
4/5
What do you like best about CMap?

Task Management and Resourcing features cover the project planning elements, which we have started to run our projects via. I often use the AI to assist with the resourcing and allocation of resourcing. We also use timesheets and holiday features extensively too. The CMap UI is easy to navigate too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

The lack of project features, such as a Scope / RAID log / Lessons Learnt Log screens. Currently the in-ability to export a Task Management plan into an excel sheet to share with external audiences also causes problems when trying to share with customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Project Visibility, but Emails, Expenses, and Project Closeout Need Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

Having all of the organisations projects in one place.

Being able to see previous history related to a client.

Tracking timesheets

Being able to customise reports I am unsure I am unsure Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

The weekly email with updates on progress use project ID and name which can be generic/ repetitive for us and client name would be helpful. I just ignore this email.

I don't use the dashboard at the moment and imagine there are ways to customise this to my advantage but have not had the time/ tools to look at how I could do this.

Expenses function does not work, would be good to link to invoicing

Would be good to have a way to confirm final payments and then be prompted to close the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"End-to-End Project Lifecycle and Invoicing in One Place"
4/5
What do you like best about CMap?

That the whole projects life cycle in included in one place from it beginning in the pipeline to it being worked on and finally being completed. It's a really easy place to check how everything is going and other people can see financial information for themselves so they can get any answers they need themselves. For example the invoicing functionality means I can quickly see which projects need invoicing this month plus what is coming up in future and this can be put into our cashflow forecasts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

It would be helpful if CMap could link to something like XE.com so I don't have to input exchange rates myself and they can be kept up to date.

Also, with the cashflow forecast the probability assigned to each project doesn't necessarily correspond with what we want in the cashflow. We operate on an all or nothing approach. It would be helpful to have the choice to include the pipeline like this instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Intuitive CMAP That Makes Project Management Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

It is flexible and intuitive, allowing users to adapt it to their specific needs while requiring minimal training. Its user-friendly interface makes navigation straightforward, enabling tasks to be completed efficiently and with confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Overall, CMAP is a powerful and effective project management tool. One area that could be improved is the resource planning functionality. While it is comprehensive, it has taken our team a considerable amount of time to fully understand how to allocate and manage resources effectively within the system. "One Platform for Faster, More Consistent, up to date and accurate Analysis and Better Ownership"
4/5
What do you like best about CMap?

That lots of things that we previously had on various platforms and spreadsheets come together on one platform allowing for easier and more immediate analysis. The integration of this saves time and increases consistency for everyone. Taking ownership has increased. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Some things are not very easy to find as it is not always intuitive.

The 'save' functions are in different places for different features which takes time to get used to.

Creating bespoke reports is difficult as there is so much to try to understand and navigate when setting it up.

Certain people and security setting, as well as cost rates etc need to updated in multiple places which his not obvious or intuitive.

The platform sometime lags and needs to be refreshed

The pricing structure at the outset we thought was clear, but turns out we were not made aware of other features that would cost extra. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Our Email Filing Effortlessly"
5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

I find CMap incredibly helpful in simplifying the way we file emails from Outlook to project-specific SharePoint sites. I like how it reduces the time required to save emails and is much simpler compared to older methods. The sidebar style add-in and auto-file functions make the process a lot easier and have dramatically increased the number of emails saved by the business team. I also appreciate the feature where CMap Mail matches emails to likely project sites, which usually allows me to save with a single click. Additionally, once one email in a conversation thread is filed, the auto-file feature conveniently saves the rest of the emails, enhancing efficiency. The initial setup was very easy, and I truly appreciate this level of ease and efficiency in a tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

The only slight downside is that the discovery tool used to search for emails sits outside of Outlook, however this is minor as the side bar does include a button to open this directly. CMap Mail Discovery has recently released an early beta version of AI search which could help. Our own testing to date however have given mixed results. If this is refined by CMap it could be really good tool as users can use plain English to find specific emails they are looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent All-in-One Platform with Easy Navigation and Useful Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

Excellent platform to manage a lot of activity in one place, functional integrations with other software that are useful. Great user interface that is easy to navigate, creating a home to manage day-to-day activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Onboarding can be a bit complex, depending on business policies and processes, although the help provided as part of onboarding and setup is invaluable. Would like to see more integrations with platforms we work with in our business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Live Project Updates That Save Time and Reduce Errors"
5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

The live project environment approach means updates made in each project environment directly update all associated/linked management documents, saving time and also reducing double handling errors. The onboarding process was well refined and genuinely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

CMap works best when it’s used from the outset of projects. Starting with a backlog of live projects can be time-consuming and may lead to temporary inconsistencies in management reporting, unless the full history of each project is entered. The time and cost involved, depending on the business scenario, could be explained more clearly prior to purchase, but overall it remains a worthwhile venture.
