I have never once felt like they failed to clear up any issue I had. They are not your average low-level techs. These women and men know their stuff. They are easy to contact 24/7. I have been creating websites since the early 90s. Until I settled on Cloudways, I had always used various versions of cPanel to manage my websites, so I was fairly comfortable with the cPanel interface. With each hosting company, they all had tailored their cPanels to their operations, but they were all similar. However, I heard some glowing reports about Cloudways and decided to give them a try. At first, I was concerned with their proprietary interface - will I spend all of my time hunting for the features I need? No worries, I quickly came to appreciate their more organized and capable interface. They have continually added additional capabilities as they find ways to make their system easier or more organized. I love how they have implemented so many things such as their site staging, automated and on-demand backups and restorations, cache purging, password management, WordPress setup... the list goes on. **What do you dislike about Cloudways?** My onboarding experience was a bit challenging when I started 5 years ago. I think that the many changes that they have implemented have improved that situation. When I have moved wordpress websites to Cloudways, from even the highest reviewed hosts, I see instant load time improvement before installing any performance plug-ins. With Cloudways, I know I'm offering superior hosting, which gives me confidence in my service offering, which is very important. **What do you dislike about Cloudways?** The lack of Nameservers can be tricky sometimes, but ultimately I think this is because it is best to have DNS go through a CDN. I have also found that it is challenging to move a website away from Cloudways, but that isn't much an issue because it is only in rare cases that I would be moving a website to a different host than cloudways, and that isn't something I would do unless it were a client request. A final point I could make, although I don't know this belongs under the category of things I dislike about Cloudways, but I like to set up a lot of wordpress installs, and try different themes/plugins, sometimes I like to install templates and pick them apart to learn, or to use a section in one template in another. It would be nice if there was a bucket of storage for staging websites, this way it wouldn't use up server space to develop. But the support team at Cloudways walked me through every step of the process, and made it easy! They were amazing! Our website was almost immediately noticeably faster, and the User Interface is plain enough that even someone as inexperienced as I am can navigate it easily. Very pleased with Cloudways! **What do you dislike about Cloudways?** I have disliked almost nothing about Cloudways, but if I had to name one thing, it would be that when I tried to figure out how to update the staging site I had already created, I couldn't figure it out. It's vital for my business that the server has high availability, and in my experience it's never failed. I got help from support to get me moving with a couple of tricky things I hadn't done before, and they delivered in a friendly and helpful way. **What do you dislike about Cloudways?** The dashboard can be slow, but that's OK as I mostly use SFTP to get what I need on the occasions I need to get hold of a log file, for example. Because there are loads of options (they are versatile and it's suitable for all manner of devops), the control panel can appear complex. I don't think there's anything they can do about this because these are features that they want to offer, but for my more basic business case I'm not using most of what they offer. The support is all delivered via chat which is generally positive, but there was one occasion where it took a while because I asked a difficult question and it took three support team members to have a look before I got an answer that moved me forward. This is a really minor complaint as their support got me moving again in every case. **What problems is Cloudways solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need an always-available Node server which my web application makes web socket connections to for live data transfer. I can't do this with my existing traditional PHP web host, so I have a simple Node server running with Cloudways. It is very simple and doesn't cost too much in terms of processing or bandwidth, but the fact the monthly bills are fixed is really useful for me. I could do without getting a shock massive bill from one of the big three cloud hosting providers, which for me is a massive attraction for Cloudways. ### 16. Switching to cloudways has proven more advantageous to our company and I have a lot I like about this tool to tell, not because the review is incentivized but from my honest experience. 1. Cloudways offers free SSL certificate through let's encrypt meaning you can easily install unlimited SSL certificate anytime without any issue or any knowledge about it where other providers would charge you for using the SSL certificate 2. Supports WordPress. Cloudays supports WordPress and gives more support to the Wordpress hosting making your WordPress project load faster, secure and to be more scalable at the same cost while receiving maximum support through the tech team. 3. Security. I like the advanced security that comes from easy integration of cloudways from Cloudflare and automatic malware scanning making sure our websites are safe from malwares. **What do you dislike about Cloudways?** Much as good can be spoken about this tool, there are some isssues, you need to have a higher budget to use this tool especially if you are going or your project is going to need more RAM and SSD storage, pricing can tend to be more expensive. Cloudways simplifies website setup and management even for non-technical people. What's nicest? The fees are amongst the lowest on the market considering the uptime and support you get (even though it's marketed as self-managed). **What do you dislike about Cloudways?** I occasionally wish Cloudways had a magic wand that could instantaneously fix all of my hosting problems (which are rare). But we can't, after all, have everything! Every now and then, the user interface may seem a little outdated, but everything works, so it's fine. **What problems is Cloudways solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well I have it all: terrible fees with abysmal support, or one time I used a hosting that lost me all of my websites due to SQL injection hack.
