What do you like best about CleverTap?

CleverTap is an end-to-end customer engagement platform that captures various trends and nuances of user behavior, enabling every communication is contextual and relevant for the user.

The Agents on Segments and Predictive Analytics are great enhancements that have already started giving measurable results. The Predictive capabilities have enabled us to proactively identify potential loyalists and about-to-churn users. This has improved our discovery and conversion metrics. What do you like best about CleverTap?

What I like best about CleverTap is their continuous innovation in helping us drive stronger customer engagement. They have been an integral part of enabling how we connect with our customers and shape a strong customer engagement strategy.

We have been extensively using CleverAI’s Decisioning Engine, which powers capabilities like Predictions, Recommendations, Journey Builder Agent, Path Optimizer Agent, and Lifecycle Agent. These solutions enable us to engage customers with greater relevance and context across RCS, WhatsApp, Email, SMS, and retargeting channels, making them a core of our day-to-day marketing operations.

Recently, we expanded Recommendations to a broader geography, and the impact has been impressive. By leveraging behavioral recency and automatically excluding already-watched titles, the engine delivered highly relevant content recommendations aligned with our OTT engagement strategy.

MCP and Bring Your Own Model capabilities enable us to build stronger context, seamless connectivity, and greater flexibility in model selection, helping us adopt AI-driven workflows while maintaining enterprise-grade governance and control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CleverTap?

What I like best about CleverTap is the precision it brings to customer engagement. By harnessing real-time passenger data and behavioral insights, the platform enables us to engage travelers at the right time with truly individualized communication.

CleverTap’s Assisted Agents are what are driving these results for us. Segment Builder Agent leveraged booking details, traveler profiles, route data, and previous purchase history to create actionable micro-segments in real-time. Journey Builder Agent and prompt to email initiated automated email campaigns based on real-time indicators. Path Optimizer Agent orchestrated touch points from booking confirmation to last-minute upgrade, ensuring timely, contextual email engagement

throughout the traveler lifecycle. Creative Agent crafted emails to highlight route benefits, exclusive offers, and bundled ancillaries tailored to each traveler.

What do you dislike about CleverTap?

With the complex data set for an Airline Industry, the onboarding required very advanced level of integration which consumes time and effort.

Analytics reporting ecosystem can be improved further.

What we like best about CleverTap is its ability to combine powerful customer engagement capabilities with AI-driven intelligence. We've been leveraging CleverTap's Predictions capabilities to better understand customer behavior, identify high-intent users, and create more personalized experiences across the customer lifecycle.

CleverTap’s Assisted Agents for journey building, lifecycle optimization, copywriting, and design have helped improve the efficiency of our marketing operations. They provide intelligent recommendations that help optimize engagement strategies and customer journeys at every stage of the lifecycle, while also automating campaign launches and workflows. Together, these capabilities reduce manual effort, help our teams move faster, and improve overall campaign performance.

CleverTap's Lifecycle Agents which represent an industry-first approach to end-to-end lifecycle optimization. The ability to intelligently identify opportunities across activation, engagement, retention, and reactivation has the potential to significantly enhance how marketers manage customer relationships at scale. As CleverTap continues to introduce advanced AI and Agentic capabilities, there can be a learning curve in fully understanding and operationalizing all the available features at once.

That said, CleverTap's continuous innovation and product evolution give us confidence that the platform will continue to deliver increasing value over time. We are also looking forward to expanded participation in programs such as the Agentic Adoption Pioneers Program, which helps brands accelerate their AI and Agentic transformation journey.

What do you like best about CleverTap?

The best thing about CleverTap is it's TesseractDB, its well structured data foundation that powers all other capabilities like unified customer profile, extensive lookback period, and dynamic segmentation and personalization. We have been using RFM model, prediction model to analyse the churn projection and align campaigns accordingly.

Furthermore, our team has also started leveraging CleverTap’s Assisted Agents to build journeys with Journey Builder Agent and generate personalized content as well as creatives for tailored outreach and engagement efforts with Creative Agent. Path Optimizer Agent made it exceptionally easy to automate running experiments and A/B testing to identify the best-performing paths for driving maximum conversions. What do you like best about CleverTap?

What I like the most about CleverTap is how easy it is to use, even for someone without a technical or programming background. While there is a learning curve—as with any powerful tool—it is very manageable, and a non-technical user can quickly become proficient. This has made it much easier for me to execute campaigns and analyze performance without depending heavily on technical teams.

From a UI/UX perspective, the platform is very intuitive and well-structured. I can easily organize my workspace, build dashboards, and visualize key metrics in a matter of minutes. The ability to create analytics and reporting boards quickly has significantly improved my workflow, especially when I need to present results or make data-driven decisions.

Another major advantage is the real-time tracking of user behavior. CleverTap allows me to monitor events and user activities as they happen, giving me immediate insights into how users interact with our products. This is extremely valuable for segmentation, as it provides rich user-level data that helps create highly targeted and effective campaigns.

The message preview functionality is also very helpful. Being able to visualize messages before sending them ensures better quality and consistency in communication. On top of that, the AI-powered features for message creation are a strong differentiator. The AI not only helps with copywriting but also provides insights into expected engagement or acceptance rates, which helps optimize campaigns before launch. It even supports decisions like the best timing for message delivery.

In terms of integrations and orchestration, CleverTap makes it easy to manage multiple channels and build end-to-end user journeys. This allows for more consistent and personalized communication across touchpoints.

From a performance and ROI standpoint, the platform enables faster execution of campaigns, better segmentation, and more precise targeting, which directly translates into improved engagement and conversion rates.

What do you dislike about CleverTap?

Overall, I have had a very positive experience with CleverTap and consider it a comprehensive and powerful platform. However, there are a few areas that could be improved.

One limitation I have noticed is when trying to extract more complex datasets that require combining multiple variables. In these cases, it is often necessary to rely on external tools to properly export and process the data. This can add friction to the workflow, especially when deeper analysis is required. Enhancing native capabilities for advanced data exports or cross-variable analysis within the platform would significantly improve usability.

Another point to highlight is related to Journeys performance and data accuracy. At times, I have experienced inconsistencies in reporting, where the number of users entering a step does not match the number of users receiving communications in subsequent steps. For example, a journey might show 500 users entering a step, but only 200 receiving a message, followed by a later step showing a higher number again. This can create confusion and makes it harder to fully trust or interpret campaign performance. Improving transparency and reliability in journey reporting would be very valuable.

Additionally, from a localization perspective, there is room for improvement in NPS templates for Spanish-speaking markets, particularly in Latin America. Currently, some standard elements like buttons (“Next”, “Back”) are not fully adapted into Spanish, which can lead to a less intuitive experience for users. Providing fully localized templates would greatly enhance usability and customer experience in these regions.

What do you like best about CleverTap?

CleverTap is very Helpful for setting up journey,s automation the marketing campaigns, sending out push and Inapp notifications, We also use it to send out WhatsApp campaigns. It makes our work easier. The Analytics reports on the dashboard after the campaign execution is the best part too as we do not have to login into some other tool to analyse the reports. What do you dislike about CleverTap?

- When the WhatsApp templates have a lot of variables it a lot of time to approve the template. Once we had a template with 11 variables and it took more than 24 hrs to approve it and it became a problem for us as we wanted to send out the campaign urgrntly.

- After a campaign is published we download the reports after two days but when we select the campaigns and fill out the details we get the reports after 2-3 hours or even half a day , sometimes there have been instances that we get the report the next day in our mail.
