Clerks Reviews & Product Details

Clerks is a conversational AI accounting assistant for QuickBooks Online that lets small businesses, founders, and bookkeepers create bills, invoices, estimates, purchase orders, and expenses, run reports, and answer questions about their finances — all by typing what they need in plain language. Connect a QuickBooks Online account, and Clerks is ready to work. There is no separate database, no data migration, and no duplicated books. All financial data continues to live inside the user's QuickBooks Online account, and every action Clerks takes is written directly to QBO only after the user reviews and approves it. Clerks is a sophisticated AI solution designed to be deterministic. While AI sits at the core of how Clerks understands what users are asking for, Clerks does not guess. Every transaction, record, and edit is mapped to a specific, structured action that the user confirms before anything is created or changed in QuickBooks Online. Accounting is too important to leave to interpretation, and Clerks treats it that way. Clerks is built for the people running the business — solo founders, small and medium-sized businesses, and bookkeepers who handle their own day-to-day accounting and want to spend less time inside the QuickBooks interface. Common use cases include: Creating bills, invoices, estimates, purchase orders, and expenses by describing them in a sentence. Even when a bill comes from a new vendor with items that aren't in the catalog yet, Clerks recognizes what's missing, proposes the new records, and creates everything in seconds once the user confirms. Processing bills, invoices, and estimates in bulk from uploaded documents, with each transaction reviewed and approved before it lands in QuickBooks Online. Converting purchase orders to bills and estimates to invoices through a single conversational request, instead of clicking through linked-transaction workflows. Managing customers, vendors, items, and accounts by asking Clerks to look up, create, or update a record. Pulling reports and answering financial questions in seconds, on the web or on mobile — from accounts receivable aging to quarterly spend by category to which customers haven't paid yet. Clerks is available as a web application and as native iOS and Android apps, with a unified account across all three. Reports, transactions, and queries work the same way whether the user is at a desk or on the road. Because Clerks reads and writes directly to the user's QuickBooks Online account, there is nothing to migrate, nothing to reconcile, and nothing to lose. Existing accountants, audit trails, and integrations continue to work exactly as they did before. Users can connect, work conversationally, and disconnect at any time — their books were always theirs.
