CleanFreight.ca Reviews & Product Details

CleanFreight is fleet fuel intelligence software for trucking companies. It connects to the telematics platform you already run and converts that data into recoverable fuel spend — in dollars, per truck, per week. Most fleet management software reports idle hours, MPG, and fuel used. Almost none of it answers the question a fleet manager actually has: what is this costing me, which trucks are responsible, and what do I do on Monday? CleanFreight is built for that gap. It is an intelligence layer on top of telematics, not a telematics replacement — no new hardware, no installation, and a fleet is connected in under 15 minutes. WHAT IT FINDS CleanFreight identifies three sources of recoverable fuel spend: - Excess idling — idle hours priced in dollars and litres, netted against unavoidable idle and compared to ambient temperature - Inefficient trucks — vehicles burning more than your fleet's expected consumption, ranked by excess cost - Efficiency drift — trucks running 10% or more over baseline for three or more consecutive weeks, an early indicator of tire pressure, alignment, or engine problems Across the fleets we measure, 3–8% of annual fuel spend proves recoverable, with 5% typical. Idle savings are additive; overlapping non-idle findings are counted once, never summed — so the number you see is conservative by design and defensible to a CFO. WHO IT'S FOR Carriers and private fleets running 20–300 power units — large enough to have meaningful waste, without dedicated fuel efficiency staff. Long-haul, regional, vocational, reefer, and mixed fleets across the United States and Canada. INTEGRATIONS Samsara, Geotab, Motive, ISAAC, Omnitracs, and Platform Science. FEATURES Executive dashboard with EARN, WASTE and SAVE indicators. Fleet Overview action queue with assignable tasks. Vehicle drilldown and MPG spread analysis. Insight cards covering excess idle cost, inefficient trucks, efficiency drift, and underperforming routes. Terminal health monitoring. Comparison across 4, 12 and 26 weeks, quarter-to-date, year-to-date, and prior-year periods. Verified CO₂e reporting for SmartWay and GHG sustainability submissions. Embeddable public widget for shipper-facing emissions disclosure. Retrofit ROI calculator. WHY NOW Diesel reached record prices in 2026. Carriers cannot control fuel price and cannot raise rates fast enough to cover it. Consumption is the remaining lever, and most of the data needed to manage it is already being collected — it simply isn't in dollars. CleanFreight shows you where the loss is. Acting on it is yours.
