## Cin7 Core Reviews
  ### 1. We've never experienced such a poor signup experience

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

The software works as intended. The manufacturing component could do with being able to make multiple things in each production run

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Whatever you do, don't tell them you're considering Dear and Cin7 products simultaneously. You'll have a very terrible experience. More below:

We recently went through the process of evaluating potential IMS software for our company after the retirement of Tradegecko/Quickbooks commerce. Cin7 and Dear were two of our options, they both have common ownership.

When we decided on the software we would like to use our sales contact officially applied for the discount they had offered us (in writing) and we've been stuck for a week and a half in limbo. We've been told that we can't get the promised pricing because we were considering both of their pieces of software simultaneously, which doesn't seem at all relevant. We're extremely disappointed with this company and whilst we will use their software, we'll be unable to ever recommend it to other businesses after having such a terrible experience signing up.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inventory management, manufacturing tracking and billing

  ### 2. DEAR Systems has made my life easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joy G. | Logistics + Inventory Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

The simplicity. I also appreciate and find it very helpful that each page has a tutorial button on the top right for immediate help.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

There's honestly nothing to dislike. Even if you don't like the color of the page's appearance, they have options!

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating assemblies, having options for different batches, the ease of creating and receiving invoices, purchase orders, the sync process with our EDI server.

  ### 3. Product expert was not knowledgeable about the product

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Textiles | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Easy to use for accounting functionality. Clean user interface. Lack of bugs.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

MES seems underdeveloped. Missing simple things like setup times in processes. Shop floor app is poor. The biggest issue is the support, our product expert was not knowledgeable about the product. Admitted they had never used the app I had questions about and gave me incorrect information regarding certain critical features. I reached out for a new product expert, which they assigned to me and said would reach out, but never did. If support has been this poor during evaluation, I fear for support when live.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provide a one-stop shop for most business applications.

  ### 4. DEAR feels like an Excel aggregator

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felipe S. | Technology Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

There is not much to like about it, cannot think of a single unexpected good feature.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

There is not much to like about it, very bare-bones, has no input validation, and features rarely do what you expect of them. I spent more time on Excel than DEAR when loading and editing products and flows. Pretty much anything other than editing a single entry was better served by exporting, editing in excel and importing back.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is better than using disjointed Excel spreadsheets for inventory and sku management but does not perform what one would expect of an ERP or WMS system.

  ### 5. Good quality tool, pretty powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pranav S. | Business Development manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Well, I liked how powerful this tool is and has synch available for almost all the major eCommerce tools like Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

It doesn't have synch available for some tools like product marketing, Google analytics, POS etc.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Classic ERP which helped many of our clients synch their Shopify/WooCommerce stores inventory/sales data and transporters.

  ### 6. DEAR fixed my issue

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florian S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

It offers a lot of customization. The system works fine although it's very hard to troubleshoot if something doesn't work due to complexity

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

DEAR reached out to me after my review with their customer support team to help me solve the issue I pointed out

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

I would avoid trusting your data with this company. The price might just double tomorrow for no reason and they will not grandfather your original plan in.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing inventory

  ### 7. Orderhive Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Integrations of apps and customization of reports and other files.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Loading time, it takes time to load especially when the product has an image.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our inventory management.

  ### 8. Good product for inventory management and invoicing - Pretty robust

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

The product is updated regularly and they do take suggestions on features and things which is nice. There are a lot of capabilites with manaing inventory and building out prouducts and there is a lot to it, you can create portals and have dupe "sites" etc.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

The interface isn't the nicest to look at, it's improved a ton in the last two years though. There is also SO much to the product that it can be overwhelming.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using mainly for inventory management and setting up a wholesale "site" using a portal. We currently connect Dear with our E-commerce store and overall the order process is pretty seamless and things are mostly accurate. The portal thing is new and we are excited to have that option.

  ### 9. Made the Switch and We Haven't Looked Back

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Being able to tailor the layout and features to suit our specific needs and processes.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

The support can be somewhat slow at times to respond. Unexpected bugs can be a little frustrating, but ultimately it is an improvement over our previous system.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not only are we able to place orders more efficiently. It keeps our inventory and ordering systems up to date. Reports are easy to generate, and customer information is stored correctly.

  ### 10. Best inventory management platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda M. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Easy to manage orders and inventory, track shipments and be aware of the entire process in a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Sometimes information integrated with a carrier (FedEx, Usps, etc.) takes a while to be updated, as shipments are delivered or dropped off.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Entire inventory and forecasting management.

  ### 11. DEAR Great for small business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

The ability to calculate COGS as inventory is entered.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

It is not backwards compatible with QB. You have to make all adjustments in DEAR

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Just make the leap. it will help maintain inventory tracking easier

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The amount of time saved figuring price and profitability makes it easier to focus on other parts of the business

  ### 12. very buggy software. made operations less efficient. tried to overcharge

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

lots of features
cheap price
kind customer service (not so helpful though!)

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

very buggy software!
- tracking numbers don't update from shipstation into our channels. That means we have to do this manually and risk getting late shipments/account deactivation. It is really stressful and their software put us in this situation many times with hundreds of orders not updated
- on the other end, their software many times failed to import orders from other channels into their "hive"
- quickbooks integration is so weak and buggy. we had to wait hours before invoices export from orderhive into quickbooks which really really hurt our operations.

we were patient with these bugs and challenges for 2 years because the software was cheap and they were definitely improving their up-time and reliability. slowly the bugs did decrease...

after 2 years they finally convinced me to sign a 1 year contract while knowing my order volume. 4 months later a manager reaches out to me telling me i am exceeding my order volume (at this point, my order volume was way lower than the time of when i signed my contract) but they basically locked me into a contract, charged my payment method and then said i need to pay more to use their software.

- they lack the customer success portion. since we used their software for around 3 years, we should have been given more attention in terms of how we could be use the features of their software, but it was not happening. the customer support team would direct us to help pages and if there was any technical issue (which 9/10 there were) we would have to wait at least 24 hours for a response and apology for their bugs.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

it's cheap but doesn't always work well. if you want a lot of customizations, then maybe give it a shot, but be careful of singing any contracts with them!

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They help with inventory management, order management, and making invoices. it helped streamline some processes but many times the bugs really hurt our operations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Markus K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Orderhive makes it simple to keep track of your inventory levels. Through their simple kept interface it is easy to register newly arrived purchases and customer made purchases. Picking lists are created automatic and also batch picking list can be made. It is quite easy to automatize certain processes to make your workers free for other tasks that are more difficult to automate. Orderhive has kept the UI simple and is therefore nice to work with. No unnecessary gadgets that clog your workflow. Dashboards give you important data like sales order fulfilled stock levels and so on.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

The biggest downside to Orderhive is in my opinion their analytics tool. They should improve their prediction systems in order to improve stock levels and deliverability out of stock. Customizing reports should also be made more simple in order to increase user-friendliness in this sector.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Purchase and sales order Management, creation of picking lists and inventory keeping.

  ### 20. Limitations are nnot dealbreakers, but their lack of transparency is

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

UI and navigation.
Visually flowed.
Lots of advanced features, which would be useful for internal communciation.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

1. Chat support is relative fast for opposite time zones.
2. Chat support is helpful, until your questions get complicated.
3. Chat support ignores you when you try to discuss workarounds.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workarounds are my way of trying to make limitations work. They clearly knew what I was trying to accomplish, but after days, I finally get a response to create the product on OrderHive, but finish the listing on Shopify. Tags or descriptions will never get pushed out to shopify.

  ### 21. Charged double, was told I should have known what my account billing page said was incorrect...

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

I only used it for Inventory. Takes some time to setup and get used to, besides a few issues with syncs, it works most of the time.
Since I only use it for inventory I had to figure out how to complete orders because you can't edit a product if there are outstanding orders with that product in it. Started manually completing orders and this was a pain and time consuming, finally figured out how to create an automation to complete orders but it doesn't work all the time.
I wish there was a mobile app or a mobile friendly version of the site.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

I started using OH in 2017. I only use it for inventory. Last year they made some pricing changes and they said if I changed to annual billing I could renew my account for $600 for the year. All year long since then the Billing page on my account has said that my plan would renew at $540 per year and it also specifically states on the Billing page that 20 integrations are included.

A week or so ago I noticed that in March they had charged me $1080 for renewal. I was confused because why would they charge me DOUBLE what's been shown in my account all year without any prior knowledge or approval. I reached out to customer service and was told that the $1,080 charge was correct and I should know this. I still don't understand how it is correct or how I should have known when my Billing page that clearly says "Lite $540 / year, Renews 15-03-2020" and "Current Plan Limit: 20 integrations" (I hope you can see the screenshot I uploaded)

I guess in an effort to try to justify the price increase and surprise billing, they start telling me that I should know that my account has limits and that I have gone over those limits. But how would I know this?! I keep asking how would I know, how would I know that what my Billing page is incorrect, and they still can't answer this question. My Billing page says Current Plan Limit 20 integrations, I have 4 active integrations but they say my plan only allows for 2. They said I have a 200 order limit per month but I go over that. I get a about 300 orders per month. I was not aware of any limits beyond the 20 integrations.

Then they kept saying you had 3,000 orders in March. I was so confused, I've never had thousands of orders in 1 month. Since they kept mentioning this one 3,000 order month several times I finally kept asking questions and showed them screenshots from Shopify as proof and figured out that the 3,000 orders was due to me importing all of my WooCommerce orders to Shopify. When we finally figured that out the sales rep Mirant made the statement, "It is your fault for transferring orders to Shopify when you already had them in WooCommerce". What????? The whole point was to get all of my orders in Shopify so customers could see everything there. I don't understand how my account has all these limits according to them but there has never been any warning or notification about going over the limits so I really had no clue that there were any limits, they never communicated them or enforced them. But now that I complain about being charged DOUBLE what my account has said, now they want to tell me about all these limits that I went over that I didn't know about.

After going back and forth with Mirant via chat on this for a 2 or 3 days and having him take no responsibility or accountability for what my account Billing page clearly states, I started getting emails from Shikha who also stated that I should have known my account limits, all I had to do was click Change Plan on my Billing page to see what was really included. I asked why would I click Change Plan to check the plans if I can do everything I need to do and I don't have an issue with the info and price listed on my Billing page?! To which Shikha responds "its just a button click and none of our customers have ever complained for clicking a button to see what all are they eligible for in their plan". So again, you don't communicate or enforce any limits and it's my responsibility to know my Billing page is incorrect and that I need to go to the Change Plan page to see my plan limits even though my account seems to let me go over them??? This doesn't even make sense.

Anyway, at this point I really don't trust them at all because they keep putting the responsibility on me to somehow know what they never told me or enforced. Shikha eventually says they made a mistake for not letting me know the renewal price and they are correcting this by giving me these plan options:

$600/yr for unlimited orders and 2 integrations
Shika said just deactivate the additional 2 integrations you have. Ummm.... I don't want to deactivate any integrations. I have been able to add a remove integrations with no problem for a long time. I have 4 active and 4 inactive in my account right now. And my Billing page has said and still says 20 integrations included.

$540 for unlimited integrations and order limit of 200 per month
Last month I had a little over 300 orders. I'm not giving a company that surprise billed me and tried to justify it for 2 days without any sort of acknowledgement for incorrect information on my Billing page and insisting that I should know... I'm not giving that company the opportunity to surprise bill me again. Plus since they never seem to actually enforce or notify of any limits and put the responsibility on me to just know, I would hate to have another issue with importing or exporting orders and it triggering a huge charge I wasn't expecting.

I really didn't want any plan that with them moving forward that could justify them surprise billing me again. I simply don't trust them.

After cancelling my account and requesting a refund, they offered:
$600/yr for unlimited integrations and 500 order limit + $0.30 per order over.
Had this been offered in the beginning without placing all of the blame on me, I might have agreed to this but at this point I just don't trust them.

Even though I might not get to 500 orders in 1 month, I still don't like that they can't honor what my Billing page has said and what my account has been able to do which is unlimited orders and 20 integrations. I simply don't trust them and feel like very much intend to structure anything they offer in a way to surprise bill me with additional fees in the future. And since I have been able to do all of these things they say I have limits on in my account with no limit enforcement, warning, or notification whatsoever, I don't think they have anything in place to help you monitor and approve any extra charges beforehand.

Perhaps I am asking too much but I really only want what I thought I was paying for and what the Billing page clearly states. Anyway, I still do not understand why they do not take full responsibility and accountability for misleading information, not enforcing or communicating limits to customers, and charging customers DOUBLE what their account says they will be charged. My account still says it will renew 15-03-2021 at $540 per year and Current Plan Limit: 20 integrations They still haven't fixed it. Why would I assume the info on my Billing page is incorrect?

I just looked at my bills and see that my plans that are on the plan listed on my bills have gone from Professional, to Starter, and the bill when I renewed last year at $600 for the year says Starter Annual; the renewal where they charged me $1,080 also says Starter Annual. So, they have been telling me about all these limits on my account, 200 order limit, 2 integrations, 1 user; But the Starter Plan listed on their website says unlimited integrations, 1200 orders, 3 users. ??? They really don't have their stuff together. So who is right, Mirant and Sikha or the OrderHive website?

I will get my new inventory system setup and request a refund for the 2nd time. They want to refund me based on the $1,080 price charging me $200 for the 2 months I have used since being billed in March when this pandemic started. Had I seen it in March I would have canceled shortly after that. But I believe the prorated charges should be based on the $540 price that the Billing page in my account has said all year and still says ($540/yr). So they should charge me $45 for each month, total $90, and refund me $990. We will see how that goes.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

It works mostly but know exactly what you are getting into. Don't keep a card on file. Make them bill you so you don't get surprised by the billing, since what is on their billing page for your account may not be accurate.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inventory management. It syncs my inventory across multiple platforms; Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Etsy (but I'm not sure the Etsy integration ever worked right).

  ### 22. It is the best platform to track all our product order details and status of shipment.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

It is a user-friendly website and I can find my order is in Confirmed stage or not confirmed and tracking of orders.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Always slow and it is not much comfortable to use in mobile phone.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

It is an easiest method to track all orders Shipment and incentive revenue of employees..

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think better way to find out order status and incentive revenue calculations, etc

  ### 23. Cload connected inventory controlling

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giovanni B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Implementation in our CMS was easy and works perfectly with the connected channel sales manager. Adding products by category group is easy and works also with the external handheld.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

The dashboard sometimes shows different sales data - drafts will be added sometimes to the total amount, clearly that draft sums shoudn't be added to the total summary. Only barcode scans are allowed - rfid connection is weak.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Control of our inventory - from the sales and incoming products. Purchases can be tracked easily and also the shipping process can be controlled. Adding products to our inventory and warehouse with the handheld works perfectly in interaction with our channel manager and the software.

  ### 24. Terrible Experience

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

The pricing is fair, and the interface is really nice.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

I've got few good things to say about DEAR, but more than enough negative. I've been at my company for 4 years, and we've had DEAR as long as I've been here. Speed has always been an issue, but lately it's been affecting us in more and more ways. As we've grown, the system has been less useful for our needs. In addition, they've been doing useless updates to the UI instead of actually improving the things that I've been having issues with. Last Friday, their whole system went down unannounced for 2 hours while we sat there twiddling our thumbs for that entire time. Our warehouse is entirely dependent on an inventory system, so we use it nearly constantly all day, every day. Needless to say, we went home an hour late that Friday which was enough to push me over the edge to write reviews on them. In addition to poor website "up-time", their customer support has been anything but helpful. They send robotic replies that do not address our issue directly, only reassuring us that something is being done to fix it. That sounds great, but the issues remain and further emails with support bring the same reply. They've had 4 years that I've used DEAR to fix their problems, and they haven't. I don't plan on holding my breath on something being done in the future either. I am currently really pushing to move to a new system. Keep in mind when you get this system, it is extraordinarily hard to change systems.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, not a good experience with DEAR. They don't have good customer relations, and they certainly do not have a good website or service.

  ### 25. Great place to keep records

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bowser N. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

I love that everything is linked. We recently had a huge shift in employment, and the person who ran most of operations and purchasing left. Thanks to dear literally tracking The supplier, the product, the sku in our system, the sku in the suppliers system, re-order levels and bill of materials on products, it is extremely easy to track and re-order products.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

There are some steps that I feel are excessive or unnecessary, but that could be as much my companie's fault for making those the processes as it is dears for allowing them. Steps that I find redundant are things like having to move the used materials through dear, even though a PO with the items bill of materials was already entered. Also, some functions do not link up and so create a bit of an extra work-around.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While we are unable to track physical inventory in here to cross over to xero, this is an excellent place to try to track as accurately as possible the levels and movement of components and raw materials. We process all orders through here, and have it linked to xero for accounting. Somewhat usable.

  ### 26. Great potential but flawed in many ways...

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will A. | Online Sales Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Stock system split with multiple locations. Automatic stock Integration with shopify is extremely handy. Full tractability with stock means you know exactly where everything has gone. Link to Stripe & Paypal means customers can pay for their invoices without needing to phone the company. Payments can be taken via an online portal.

Advanced purchases, sales means you can have multiple fulfilments (if you need to part ship).

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

The program can be very clunky to use sometimes. With certain features not thought out well enough to be fully usable. Support does also not really seem to be interested in listening to/ fixing broken features. The production module is next to useless. You can only create a new production per product variant. Meaning for one order you could have 100's of production orders on. Trying to keep track of these is a nightmare. We opted to use the purchasing module as a makeshift alternative.

The most annoying aspect is that at times you have to undo orders if you need to make a change. Resulting in you having to re authorise any potential pick/ pack lists, invoice, shipping etc. It can take an hour to change something as simple as a price.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Utilise the free trial as much as possible. Don't commit unless you have thoroughly tested all features.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with shopify is very useful. When you sell something on shopify it automatically takes stock out of your master stock list. Essential if you sell in multiple platforms, and require stock to be very accurate.

We have multiple warehouses. Tracking the inventory all in one place means we don't need two systems.

  ### 27. Overall Good, but definitely needs improvement!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Very user friendly and intuitive, especially with Orderhive 2.0 More functions have been included and Kanban style dashboard and general feel has been implemented, making it very clean.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Features previously in Orderhive 1.0 not included in 2.0. Support reply is fast, but rectification of issues and features are very slow. Makes me want to give up sometimes and switch systems, but ultimately have stuck with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Simple to use, but upgrades are very slow and takes time.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatically keeping track of orders and a very basic CRM, ability to see what purchases clients have made.

  ### 28. Great database, needs improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordin B. | Operations Manager & Production Coordinator, Apparel & Fashion, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

My favorite aspect of dear is that you can create a product from the ground up. You can first create the Sku, name it, say where it comes from, and then create a bill of materials attached straight to said product that is then easy to duplicate for other sizes or similar products. It makes creating a product extremely easy. Not only that, but I like that we are able to store our hard materials and ordering for those as well, so that ideally if we were using it 100% correctly it would pull from that material every time we processed a purchase order from production.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Some of the communication between functions isn''t 100% or isn't clear. I've found myself spending a lot of time trying to adjust quantities of fabric being used. It's also not clear where the price is drawing from, so I often find myself running little tests in order to get the pricing per unit accurate. Also, we can't find a rhyme or reason to some of these pricing averages that dear computes. Another dislike is how easily messy dear can get if you let it get out of control. to the point where clean-up would be a headache. Once a company is a certain age and has had various users over the years, it can get pretty crazy. Having all the products so dependent on each other can get out of hand easily, and I often find myself in a maze of components and products. Not really so much dear's fault as our own, I know, but something worth pointing out.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Don't take on dear unless your companie's processes and procedures are 100% down to a pat. It will get messy if you try to take on dear and don't have your back end figured out.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I plan out my designs through dear and base my ordering of components on what dear tells me we have. We don't use it for hard inventory tracking (we have a separate platform for that, that no longer integrates with dear), but it is a great place to keep both final products as well as components and supply inventory.

  ### 29. Great Inventory Management System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Orderhive is a team that has grown alot in the last few years, very pleased with their service and growth capabilities. A lot of new features added over the years.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

The price increases ever since we went with Orderhive. Was abit over my budget, hence had issues with management on that. But, I guess its inevitable.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Definitely good consideration

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linking our different systems together.

  ### 30. DEAR is a great product with a lot of features, but at times it can be a bit limiting.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie M. | Inventory Systems Analyst, Food & Beverages, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

DEAR seems to be able to do it all - It integrates with a number of platforms for shipping, eCommerce, accounting... And has different sections to allow businesses to customize it (though with limits) to their own needs. I use DEAR with Quickbooks and Shopify together. Having Shopify push all of our sales from our physical and online store is great, and DEAR captures these real time. There seem to be so many features in DEAR that I'm not using right now, though I could see the benefit for other business. They allow for inventory tracking, dynamic movement, sale tracking and fulfillment, purchase order placement and tracking, and even allows you to track assembly of products. They've recently lifted their 20,000 SKU limit on accounts.

The interface is fairly easy to use, especially for simple transactions (like product movement, sale fulfillment for in-stock items...). One major benefit of DEAR is the ability to limit the access that each user has to each section of DEAR - sensitive information doesn't need to be shared with everyone and items that can cause problems with the database can be set to view-only status.
Dear support is also quite good. Sometimes it takes some back-and-forth with the member of the support team to get them to understand the problem, but if there is a solution it's usually explained well.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

While DEAR does try to offer a lot of features, the ones that they have can be very limiting. As mentioned, we use Shopify to push sales to DEAR, however, DEAR uses its own labelling/numbering system so it can be very hard to track the specific sale. Additionally, as a safe-guard, DEAR does not let you undo a lot of actions. For example, a location that has been used to store a product will forever be in the system, even if it hasn't been used for years. While this prevents inconsistencies with the 'history' of a product/item, it can create a lot of confusion for users when logging locations or searching for products. Along this line as well, any product that was used in one way shape or form in the system cannot be deleted. So even if it was created or used by accident you're stuck with it there. DEAR is continually adding new features and refining the ones they have, but it can take a long time (even for popular requests) to get changes to the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Figure out what exact inventory processes you need in your business. Do you need to assemble products? Do you change your products from when they arrive to when they are sold? Do you need to keep track of expiry dates? Do you need purchase, storage and sale information on one platform? Do you need multiple people with regular access to the system? DEAR allows you to do all of these things in some capacity, but do thorough research first!

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In most eCommerce platforms there's no sophisticated way to track inventory all the way from purchasing to storing to selling and shipping. DEAR helps manage a lot of that. Despite its shortcomings in some areas, it's allowed us to keep track of our frequently changing inventory.

  ### 31. Great for small companies, still needs improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Orderhive has a very customizable interface which carries across all authorized users, which is incredibly helpful for streamlining order review processes. It also has decent integration with WooCommerce and Shipstation, order tagging is a breeze, editing, invoicing, etc. are all also incredibly effortless with this system

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Right now there's not very good shipment integration, i.e. our webdev team had to fool around with the API in order to properly trigger shipment confirmation emails to customers, though this may be a shortfall of WooCommerce more than Orderhive. The inventory system, at the moment, doesn't have good organizational tools, but we have been told that large changes to this are being made in the next couple of weeks.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Be aware that it's not a good system for processing and printing shipment labels/information. It has all the tools there they just don't work yet. We've been told this will be implemented "soon" but for now we're using their ShipStation integration.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company is currently using Orderhive for inventory tracking and shipment tracking. IT's been beneficial for us because WC has poor inventory tools, while Orderhive's are robust with exception to organizational tools which are supposed to be implemented soon.

  ### 32. Best software to centralized inventory

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

User can sink the all the inventory from multiple marketplaces in one software. User can easy track real time inventory just by using one software. Also can order, print label from this software. It is easy to add suppliers information as well.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Customer support is not good. User have to various messages even for demo

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to use, organized

  ### 33. Terrible STAY AWAY!!!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

Not a darn thing. Do yourself a favor and save the aggravation and don't bother. If you are a busy growing company this will cause you to lose your mind talking with these people. Their "solution" is more work for you.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Everything. The point of an automatic inventory is to DECREASE work. There is nothing I can't do direct with woocommerce that this does. In fact they told me anytime I remove a sku or make a modification to a product I also have to do it in OrderHive! What?!!! Why would anybody pay for that. There are plenty of free drop ship plugins, their scan to barcode doesn't work despite advertising it, and their FTP...ha ha ha, please, you can upload inventory direct to woocommerce for FREE NOW, without doubling your work. DO NOT USE THIS. CUSTOMER SUPPORT SUCKS!!!

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Do not use it, if you care at all about time, don't bother!

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything, idiots are on the other end of chat who can't talk, and talk in circles when they do. They type and respond SUPER SLOW. I have never been pissed than I am now.

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

We have never looked back since we moved from an internal system - limited by long dev circles.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

I would love that they do even more integration with other products.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing to control - orders and stock

  ### 36. Very functional app and the price is a steal!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mandi W. | Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

I'm a new Ebay power seller, and as things started picking up, I needed software to keep track of my inventory. I found orderhive after looking at a bunch of other different software apps including...skubana, trade gecko, solid commerce, ecomdash. It was terrible trying to figure out which one was best as reps from most of the companies troll ALL the forums and pretend their customers or they bicker with each other. I especially noticed reps from solid commerce doing that. I chose orderhive over the others because it has a nice interface and you really can't beat the prices with the features and service they have.

Their customer service is absolutely top-notch. They always chat or email either right away, or they will always get back to you within hours. They're also always in the process of adding new features, improving the current ones, and integrating with as many platforms as possible that sellers use. There was an issue with my ebay account not selling, and they were very dedicated to trying to get it to work.

You can also add your own orders...which I did not see from a lot of other sites.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

There are still a few features I wish there were...like it being free to follow tracking info, being able to get a discount with USPS, a bit of issues integrating with auction listings. Overall though...the price is unbeatable for what you get in terms of customer service and innovation. And I feel they will most likely add or fix those features soon.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

This is great software for new sellers that is looking for something with a lot of features at a very affordable price. I definitely recommend this over most other apps.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am trying to find software that will integrate all the platforms I sell on. THe hardest thing to find was software that had all the features I needed for shipping, adding my own orders, and keeping track of all my POs and sales.

**Official Response from Megha Vishnoi:**

> Hi Mandi. Thank you so much for the feedback. We'll try our best to offer whatever your business needs. Thank you again for your support!

  ### 37. Great inventory management.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sporting Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2016

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

We currently use this software with our Vend POS and working in various stages towards implementing a webstore for racket sports at ofcourts.ca and ofcourts.com. In addition we have many local proshops for tennis and squash that utilize the Wholesale option directly the system.

It has lacked some detail features, like showing inventory quantities in Orderhive B2B, but after I requested changes, they are very quick to fix it

Nobody can construct a perfect system and charge so little money, so there are some unfinished parts. This is all fine as long as they are (and they are!) fixing them quickly when made aware of them.

So now, we can verify, the B2B works, Vend POS integration works. From our small tests, WooCommerce works as well.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

One thing that I feel is missing is the ability to push the inventory (creation of items) into other channels. So say our POS- Vend is syncing into Orderhive. Products, customers, items and inventory levels are created in Orderhive. Now I want to start selling on my site Ofcourts.ca using Woocommerce. Woocommerce can sync into Orderhive, but orderhive can not populate items into the Webshop.
So I both have to import all products manually, and also everytime I make an item in Vend, it needs to be made in all other channels.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily having an updated inventory across many different channels. We are also working towards having reliable sales data per channel, without going through all systems to find the numbers.

**Official Response from Megha Vishnoi:**

> Hi. Thank you so much for your honest review. We'll surely take your suggestions into consideration and try offering more features in near future.

  ### 38. Great app, great value for money and awesome customer service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya D. | Owner, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2016

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

We were looking for an affordable app that didn't have any limitations on number of clients, items or inventory. Most of the apps out there have very limited service. This is not the case with Orderhive. This app is worth every penny! The customer service is great and they do their best to customize the service to your needs.

I have searched high and low for similar apps, and after reviewing hundreds of them, I decided to go with Orderhive. More power to you guys!

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

It takes a little getting used to but you'll learn it soon enough! The order form could use more flexibility also but they do customize it to your needs!

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Try to communicate with the support team during trial period to get a feel of their customer support. They also answer faster via Skype or email.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an inventory system that allows us to process orders as well. We didn't like the other apps that had limitations on no. Of customers or transactions. That's just ridiculous!

**Official Response from Megha Vishnoi:**

> Hi. Thank you for your feedback. I'll share the same with your account manager so that he can address your concerns.

  ### 39. Unable to cancel account!

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

The software seemed fine until I was unable to cancel my account.

As a small business owner, all I wanted was to not be charged $29 a month until my business had a chance to pick up, at which time I would be able to afford it.

The inability to cancel your own account at any time, and to no longer get charged for a particular service is sort of a fundamental principle.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

I requested that my account be cancelled on multiple occasions, since no "CANCEL" button exists in the account. Support ignored my requests until they finally told me they were cancelling my account weeks ago, but not only have I not received a confirmation of said cancellation, I can still log in to my supposedly cancelled account, and I am still receiving emails.

Their Terms of Service says that "You are solely responsible for cancelling your Orderhive account. We do not accept request for cancellations on phone or email, you need to cancel your account from Subscriptions when you log into your account.", however, no cancel button exists there (subscriptions page) or anywhere else on the user dashboard.

Orderhive is violating it's own Terms of Service by not allowing users to cancel their own account, and ignoring support requests to do so.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No longer using this company or software.

**Official Response from Megha Vishnoi:**

> Hi. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience caused. Can you please share your registered email address so that I can look further into this?

  ### 40. Great inventory management system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bojan S. | Writer, Copywriter, Marketing, App Promotion, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

I own a hardware store. We sell various computer hardware. I use orderhive in the last 7 months and I can say that I love it. It is a useful multichannel order and inventory management system integrated with marketplaces, shopping carts. It offers wide variety of features and it has amazing and reliable customer support team. The software is easy to learn and you will master it very fast.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

Nothing to add here. The UI is great it is easy to use and it has all the features I need.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

Try it, you won't regret it. It has been a really helpful tool for me and my business.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had problems with the mutlichanel orders, and this software was great solution because it offers great management tools.

**Official Response from Megha Vishnoi:**

> Hi Bojan. Thank you for your feedback.

  ### 41. Orderhive Cloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2015

**What do you like best about Cin7 Core?**

The ease of access to platform. Monitored and secured, I am still able to access my inventory system from virtually any browser, making myself more versatile and efficient within my company.

**What do you dislike about Cin7 Core?**

The free trial is only 15 days. Bumping to 30 may provide users a better initial run of the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Cin7 Core:**

This IS a pay as you go, so although you only receive the 15 day trial, you are under no obligation to keep the services. I can almost guarantee you will though, once you see how a complex issue with inventory can be solved with this software.

**What problems is Cin7 Core solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Growth. It not only depends on a increase in sales, but also a streamlining of in house operations to ensure that cost stays down. I found Orderhive to be my solution.

**Official Response from Megha Vishnoi:**

> Thank you for your feedback. Looking forward to solve more business problems.
