We’ve been using ChartDB as part of our workflow for around 6 months now, and it’s become one of those tools we didn’t know we needed until we had it. It lets our team instantly turn SQL schemas into clean, understandable diagrams, perfect for onboarding new engineers and planning database changes. We often share the ER diagram before granting access to the actual database, which really improves context and security. Nothing major. Early on, there were some limitations with schema filtering and support for larger tables, but the team has been super responsive and shipped fixes quickly. We've switched to ChartDB from dbdiagram.io in the team to document our database structure and quickly adopted it as our main db visualization and migration tool.

It's super easy to install and is also optimized for up and coming database technologies like Cloudflare D1. That makes it an easy choice as otherwise I would have to install a custom library myself and manage it - whereas ChartDB makes it quick and simple to get started. The API pricing has been a bit unclear in the past, and it changed a few times. It's nothing major, but definitely the pricing component is where I'd like a bit more clarity.
