"A Game Changer for Interior Designers: Huge Library of High Quality 3D Models"
What do you like best about CGTrader?

What I like best about CGTrader is the vast variety of 3D models it offers, especially for interior designers like me. As an interior designer, finding high quality 3D assets for decoration and furniture can be time consuming. Many items, like fridges, small appliances, or unique decor pieces, are rarely modeled by others because creating them takes a lot of effort. CGTrader solves this problem by offering a large library of ready to use models, many of which are free. Having access to these models saves me a significant amount of time. Instead of spending hours creating simple objects from scratch, I can download and integrate them directly into my 3D scenes. This allows me to focus more on the overall design, layout, and lighting of the interior space rather than worrying about individual props. For example, when working on kitchen interiors, finding a realistic fridge, stove, or microwave on CGTrader means I don’t have to model them myself, which accelerates my workflow tremendously. Another aspect I really appreciate is the quality and versatility of the models. Most assets come with proper textures, realistic proportions, and compatibility with popular 3D software like 3ds Max, Blender, or SketchUp. This makes it easy to drop the models into my projects without any extra tweaking. CGTrader also provides both free and paid options, giving flexibility depending on project needs and budgets. Overall, CGTrader is a game-changer for interior designers. It allows access to a massive collection of 3D assets that would otherwise take hours to create, enabling faster, more detailed, and realistic interior designs. For personal use or professional projects, CGTrader is an indispensable resource that enhances productivity and creativity while saving time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CGTrader?

What I dislike about CGTrader is the way each 3D model is priced individually, rather than having a subscription or plan based system. While CGTrader offers a wide variety of high quality models, I found it frustrating that even small or simple models often have separate costs. For example, some models are priced as high as $100, while others may only cost $10. This inconsistency makes it difficult for buyers, especially interior designers like me, to budget for projects or plan ahead. From a contributor’s perspective, having each model priced individually may seem fair, but it can actually limit the potential audience. Many buyers hesitate to purchase multiple models when each comes with a separate cost, which can result in fewer sales and less exposure for creators. A subscription or plan based pricing system could benefit both contributors and buyers. For contributors, it could ensure steady revenue or more predictable exposure, and for buyers, it would make accessing multiple models more affordable and convenient. Another challenge with the current pricing method is that it can slow down workflow for designers. When working on large interior projects, you often need many props, furniture, and decorative items. Having to purchase each item individually increases project costs and adds extra steps, which interrupts the creative process. A plan based system could simplify this by allowing access to a library of models for a fixed fee or subscription, making it easier to experiment, test, and finalize interior designs without worrying about separate payments for each item. Overall, CGTrader is an excellent platform with high quality 3D models, but the lack of subscription or bundled pricing is a downside that affects both buyers and contributors. Introducing a flexible plan or library access would make the platform more user-friendly, cost-effective, and efficient for everyone involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
