  ### 1. CG4 software has integrated inventory scans for 4 consecutive years into Oracle Peoplesoft.

**What do you like best about CG4?**

Customer service and support.  Staff at CG4 assisted with all aspects of the integration to include user training and successful uploads of scan data from CG4.  When issues are identified, the staff at CG4 will delegate the issue to staff member responsible and it will be resolved via email or direct phone call response in a reasonable time-frame.

**What do you dislike about CG4?**

Remote training.  This is a personal preference only.  The software industry is now able to conduct training remotely and screen shots and "Webex" technology allow for customer support remotely now.  CG4 staff are proactive and available remotely but I had expected a member to assist initially in person.

**Recommendations to others considering CG4:**

Do not be shy about asking questions.  CG4 has staff in all areas who can assist with questions on multiple topics.

**What problems is CG4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inventory scan history.  CG4 legacy information from previous inventory scan data will allow me to identify the person performing the scan and the date of the scan.  This detailed information is not maintained in the Oracle Peoplesoft application that the CG4 scans are uploaded into.

**What do you like best about CG4?**

Their support and dev teams are good at resolving issues and working with my team and I to implement CG4 alongside of Cherwell Service Management.

**What do you dislike about CG4?**

I don't care much for the ATS admin web app.  Some module types have unused fields and in general, it's difficult to visually decipher some of field name mappings due to the way fields between CG4 and CSM are labeled and mapped.

**What problems is CG4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increasing efficiency of operations work flows for onboarding, moving, repairing, etc. of equipment and to reduce manual data entry errors.  Also, to get the CI records updated sooner, at the time of activity rather than when the sys admin gets back to their desk from being out in the field.

**What do you like best about CG4?**

CG4 is saving our inventory control personnel a lot of time by allowing scanning of serial numbers when receiving equipment and by doing inventory with the hand device.  

**What do you dislike about CG4?**

Haven't really found anything that we don't like yet.

**What problems is CG4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we are new to CG4 so far the benefit is the time saved from having to manually enter the information that is now being scanned.

**What do you like best about CG4?**

I like the fact that we can scan our assets directly into SN while out on the floors where the assets are located.

**What do you dislike about CG4?**

I don't like that the connectivity is intermittent so that you have to repeat the scans. 

**What problems is CG4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We track assets assigned to employees in SN and with the mobile cg4 scanners we can swap hardware or update our asset database while out on the floors where our employees & the assets are. I like the fact that when it connects the assets are automatically available in SN.

**What do you like best about CG4?**

The app allows you to take asset tracking mobile. You can download the app on any smartphone or tablet and create, update or decomission assets all by scanning them in the app.

**What do you dislike about CG4?**

I wish they had more options to build out in ServiceNow. I hear they have recently made some enhancements in this area.

**What problems is CG4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not a simple unified process for tracking and maintaining assets. This mobile app allows all our asset manages in our company access to update assets anywhere at any location.

**What do you like best about CG4?**

I like that it gave us the ability for our remote desk side support and data center staff to receive assigned and deployed assets through their mobile devices.

**What do you dislike about CG4?**


The license is based on the mobile device. It is nice to have it based on the user account or named users.

**What problems is CG4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved asset tracking from the time the assets are delivered, created in the system and deployed.

it kept track of our assets very well. there were times the assets were scanned but didnt save to our asset manager

**What do you dislike about CG4?**

there were issues when creating categories. it would mislabel the categories and duplicate them.

we were going to continue using it for our asset managemtn

The general scanning ability works well and updates as expected and needed.

The product was initially a bit clunky to setup.  Though we look forward to testing the RFID capabilites

It can scan from far distances. I can find assets from any locations.

I think the color coding on the app can be distracting

Asset management. We can see what we have in stock and were they are located.

The ability to scan asset tags and update or delete records from a mobile friendly application.

The amount of effort required to stage the table mappings.

Deployment and setup was a breeze. The mobile app was cool

A Little clunky in the interface. They have a basic setup which is a little hard to navigate

Bar code scanning capability. Extra fields tailored to our need.

There is nothing I can think of at this time.

Assist the Service Desk in tracking equipment as it's assigned from user to user.

Nothing in perticular. Would like to see a mobile asset scan app from Servicenow
