We used to have to create each certificate manually by adding the names, dates, and course details in popwerpoint or canva, then turning this into a PDF and individually sending it by email. I've been using Certopus since March 2023 and I'm so glad I found it when I did. The prices have increased some since their launch days, but it has become a reliable and cost-effective tool for us. We're in a service-based training business, and certifications are essential to us. For the most part, customer service has been decent, though at times unresponsive. The software is based in India and being a U.S. user, the language and use of certain terms are sometimes non-intuitive, but not beyond understanding. All in all, I'm very grateful to have Certopus as a part of my business. One thing I very much appreciate is the white-labeling experience. Raj helped me set it up so that all emails are sent from our custom email address, and the verification page is a custom page on our website. It provides for a clean, professional look and feel. Certopus also has a number of features I haven't implemented such as learning pathways, and while I'm not currently using this feature, I like that it's there. **What do you dislike about Certopus?** At times customer support can be very slow, or entirely unresponsive, but other times they're quick as a whip. Not sure why, but I assume that some days they're in the office and other days they're not. It's a small team and I think they really try. Technically the most important features all seem to work as they should, but there are some bugs that need to be fixed. Searching for previously issued certs can at times be cumbersom or even impossible - I've had batches of certs disappear from my admin view entirely. Still, the issued certs are still live, and that's much more important. I think a big thing people would want to recognize is that Certopus has two limit: Credentials (certs) and Events; and if you have events with only a few people in them, you can run out of events much faster than you'd run out of credentials. In this way, Certopus may be better for companies offering fewer events, with larger attendance #'s. It's also worth noting that the support center and guidance videos are very limited. It's grown over time, but still very limited. While support can be intermittent, Raj, when available, is kind and helpful. **What problems is Certopus solving and how is that benefiting you?** My company issues certifications to our students multiple times a week and we signed up for the largest plan. Certopus is a solid software that's cost-effective with tiers to fit any business size. There are some big name, full featured solutions out there, but the price of those are outrageous if you're not a large company with an exorbitant budget. For us, Certopus has been an amazing solution that we switched to from another provider (Virtual Badge) and I couldn't be happier. There are some wrinkles to be ironed out, but nothing that stops this from being a great solution if you're looking for an excellent certification and digital badge software solution. ### 8. I did a lot of research before purchasing this tool and I had to analyze each of the competitors in the same segment such as Sertifier, Accredible, Credly or CertifyMe among many others and Certopus is at the same level of technical confidence, only with a very high price. more attractive than the competition. It offers access to its API for free, which allows quick integrations and this detail is appreciated since not everyone has it. White label options are quite useful for large and medium-sized institutions that do not want to have other domains or brands other than their own in their system and Certopus offers it at a very good price. I also highlight the technical support and attitude of its co-founder Raj, who is always willing to provide help and clarity on any news or questions that may arise with the system. **What do you dislike about Certopus?** It is important to clarify that Certopus is perhaps the newest competitor in the diplomas and certifications segment, which makes it a young and developing company. This can make many early adopters nervous, but in these cases the most important thing is to have clarity towards Where the company is going, the public roadmap shows that they are clear about the points to improve and provides peace of mind to those who use the service. The platform tends to overload when using large amounts of certificates, it feels a little slow but in the end all the batch processes work. In my experience I feel that the system runs better in browsers like Chrome or Firefox, while in Safari it does not behave as well. The technical support is on Indian time so it is not always automatic, in my case I have a GTM -5 time zone which makes it 10 and a half hours apart so if an emergency arises I would have no choice but to wait. **What problems is Certopus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Certopus allowed one of my companies to radically solve the issuance of certificates and diplomas but also protect them and provide them with authenticity, since we were having cases of false certifications which were impossible for us to control. Certopus is easier to use out of the box, and as there was an existing integration with my LMS of choice, the initial setup was easier. An existing organization I advise was already using Sertifier. When the opportunity came up to set up certification for another organization, I decided to give Sertopus a try. The "learning paths" feature was a key selling point, along with the integrations that I would use. All in all, I believe it was a good choice for the second organization. The live support system is manned by real individuals, thats great, because many companies only have bots or not even any chat system.
