Ability to design multiple certificates and badges and associate them with different events. We conduct a lot of different training programs and have found this an easy to use essential tool to easily create, send, and track our certificates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Certopus? It takes a bit of time to set up the system, and currently, badges can only be shared automatically to LinkedIn. What problems is Certopus solving and how is that benefiting you? Issuing certificates of completion or passing our training programs and courses is now a lot quicker. We used to have to create each certificate manually by adding the names, dates, and course details in popwerpoint or canva, then turning this into a PDF and individually sending it by email. This was very time-consuming, and we could not track the open rate. Certopus has streamlined this process and, as a result, now saves us 90% of the time compared to doing this manually. Certopus is the best bang for the buck in 2024 in that it provides a feature/performance/usability/price-value equivalent or better than alternative products or alternatives, or it provides feature/performance/usability/price-value superior to competing products. As an example, a user of certificates and badges for digital credentials might find them difficult to create (feature); difficult to share after creation (performance); difficult to maintain or update after creation (usability); and/or costly. Alternatively, a user might find Certopus easier to use than other products. This is not to imply that there are not other products that, in many cases, also perform well. It is very easy to use and makes it easy for me to manage my certifications for my organization. I appreciate the ability to customize almost every aspect of the certifications from design to delivery. For the price and what the service offers, this is a very solid SAS. I've been using Certopus since March 2023 and I'm so glad I found it when I did. The prices have increased some since their launch days, but it has become a reliable and cost-effective tool for us. We're in a service-based training business, and certifications are essential to us. For the most part, customer service has been decent, though at times unresponsive. The software is based in India and being a U.S. user, the language and use of certain terms are sometimes non-intuitive, but not beyond understanding. All in all, I'm very grateful to have Certopus as a part of my business. One thing I very much appreciate is the white-labeling experience. Raj helped me set it up so that all emails are sent from our custom email address, and the verification page is a custom page on our website. It provides for a clean, professional look and feel. Certopus also has a number of features I haven't implemented such as learning pathways, and while I'm not currently using this feature, I like that it's there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Certopus? At times customer support can be very slow, or entirely unresponsive, but other times they're quick as a whip. Not sure why, but I assume that some days they're in the office and other days they're not. It's a small team and I think they really try. Technically the most important features all seem to work as they should, but there are some bugs that need to be fixed. Searching for previously issued certs can at times be cumbersom or even impossible - I've had batches of certs disappear from my admin view entirely. Still, the issued certs are still live, and that's much more important. I think a big thing people would want to recognize is that Certopus has two limit: Credentials (certs) and Events; and if you have events with only a few people in them, you can run out of events much faster than you'd run out of credentials. In this way, Certopus may be better for companies offering fewer events, with larger attendance #'s. It's also worth noting that the support center and guidance videos are very limited. It's grown over time, but still very limited. While support can be intermittent, Raj, when available, is kind and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Certopus solving and how is that benefiting you? My company issues certifications to our students multiple times a week and we signed up for the largest plan. Certopus is a solid software that's cost-effective with tiers to fit any business size. There are some big name, full featured solutions out there, but the price of those are outrageous if you're not a large company with an exorbitant budget. For us, Certopus has been an amazing solution that we switched to from another provider (Virtual Badge) and I couldn't be happier. There are some wrinkles to be ironed out, but nothing that stops this from being a great solution if you're looking for an excellent certification and digital badge software solution. The availability for support has been extremely helpful and encouraging. The UI is really clean and modern, and the ability to not only issue but create really attractive and professional looking certificates and badges is so valuable. I'm really excited to be using Pathways feature for an educational program to motivate students to progress though their leaning goals by earning individual badges for each goal, which ultimately will lead to the issuing of completion badges for completing entire courses. Pathways will also be used to motivate students to participate in non-required additional learning opportunities and by participating, they can showcase the additional effort, time, and commitment to learn competencies above and beyond what's expected.
