"Nicest database I use day-to-day"
What do you like best about Castor?

I find this database incredibly easy to use and pleasing on the eye. The lay out is very straightforward and can be navigated very easily. Compared to other database I use (and this is a lot), I find this is the easiest to make sure the data I have is correctly transferred and inputted into the database. What do you dislike about Castor?

Very occasionally the data can take a while to save but other than this. Also, the query management page was at first a bit confusing to use and wasn't clear when a query had been fully resolved. I have now got used to this, however it look a while to work out where the pending queries were and if they'd been answered/ closed. Thank you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Site is clean and not too busy."
What do you like best about Castor?

The questions are numbered according to the work sheets. Data collection progress list is very clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castor?

In each visit the concomitant medication and adverse events are green in each visit even when nothing has been documented. I sometimes get mixed up and think I have entered data when I have not.

It would be better leaving it white and you can go in and confirm no changes. This would be helpful as a double check during a visit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Used CASTOR for first time in a Clinical Trial"
What do you like best about Castor?

I liked how it flags missing entries. Normally I have used paper CRF and it's always easy to miss something or not realise some data (like med hx, AE follows etc) need future review. Castor really helps with this. Also the "paper trail" for changes in CRF entry are really good for documentation accountability and maintaining GCP. I also like how you can build surveys etc in and that these can be completed via a link sent to participants. These data is then sent to CASTOR and then entered into the CRF data. What do you dislike about Castor?

It may have just been a setting the project manager implemented, but when entering data sometimes if you are not fast enough the system takes it as complete then if you add something else its considered a data change and then add report is made that info has been changed. That was a bit annoying.

Not sure if it's a function just missed in my current project, but if you could gave alerts as to participant visit schedules and auto calculation of times between visits for longitudinal studies that might also be good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A user friendly database"
What do you like best about Castor?

Castor is a very easy to use databse. It is very simple to reach out and you can use it from evry computer without installing an app. During our study I used it several times a day. There is no need for an intensive learning of implementation, because it is so easy to use and to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castor?

Probably it would be beter for the user if the login coudl stay londer open. I know that because of the privacy you don't want to leave the site to long open but if you work as clinician and you have to enter data parallel to your clinical work, would make it easier. "Excellent platform"
What do you like best about Castor?

Castor has been the most user friendly platform I have used for data entry.

It is clear and succinct and is easy to navigate. It allows me to enter data and respond quicker to queries.

The texts are easy to read and looks less 'busy' and clinical compared to other platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castor?

It is not used for every research project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear view of data completion progression"
What do you like best about Castor?

The fact that it is intuitive and very easy to see how data completion is progressing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castor?

The handling of queries doesn't seem very smooth to me. We respond to a request, but after that, there's still a step needed to indicate that we've responded (like selecting resolved, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple to use and ergonomic"
What do you like best about Castor?

Castor is easy to use and readable. A person not trained in Castor can very well use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Castor?

For better reading of the eCRF, it would also be necessary to remove the tabs of the groups not concerned by the patient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
