**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

I like how straightforward Cartesia makes it to set up and monitor AI voice agents. The Calls section gives me a simple view of completed calls, call type, duration, and other details, which makes it easier to keep track of how an agent is being used. The setup also feels approachable when testing an assistant for real business use cases.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

Some areas could provide more detailed information around individual calls. I would also like to see more flexibility and deeper reporting options as the number of agents and calls grows.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Cartesia to experiment with AI-powered assistants for business workflows and customer interactions. Being able to create an assistant and monitor its calls gives us a practical way to test conversational automation without building the entire voice infrastructure ourselves. It helps us evaluate where AI agents can reduce repetitive communication work and improve responsiveness.

At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review.

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

The biggest advantage is the low latency, which makes conversations feel more natural and responsive. The voice quality is also quite natural, especially for conversational use cases. It integrates well with our existing voice-bot stack and has been relatively easy to implement.
The streaming capabilities are particularly useful because we can start playing the response without waiting for the entire audio to be generated. We use both STT/TTS voice models, and the voice model rates are best in market.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

Indian English and Hinglish pronunciation can sometimes be inconsistent, especially with names and local terminology, so it takes many trials to get it right. More granular controls for emotion, tone, pauses, and overall speaking style would also be helpful. The voice library could include more high-quality Indian voices and additional regional language options, although this may be a plan limitation on our side.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Cartesia TTS/STT as the voice-generation layer for our AI voice bots. The key requirement is to generate natural speech with very low latency so customers can have a smooth, real-time conversation.
Cartesia helps us reduce the robotic feel of automated calls while maintaining the responsiveness required for customer-facing conversations. This is particularly important for use cases where even a small delay can make the interaction feel unnatural.

 ### 3. Cartesia Makes AI Voice Experimentation Easy, with a Smooth UI and Rich Voice Library

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

What I like most about Cartesia is how easy it is to experiment with its AI voice features. I especially like the voice library because it offers a range of voices, accents, and languages to choose from, so it’s simple to find something that fits. I also appreciate the voice agent setup and the pronunciation controls. Being able to test these features on the Free plan makes it a solid option for trying out voice ideas before spending money, and it helps me plan my pricing budget accordingly. Also Ui/UX is so smooth to understand that i walkthrough each and every page and it was self explanatory.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

I dislike about cartesia is that I got little bit confused at frist because different features use credits differently. every feature has diffeernt credit usuage for some its by character , while other have on time , etc which is like i cant guarantee when tokens get consumed by how much.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The pronunciation problem is what Cartesia is solving for me. It enables me to create a custom dictionary, which is really useful when using AI voice that needs to correctly say product names, categories, and division/vendor names in our use case. For example, “Bud Light” sometimes gets pronounced like “bird light,” and this helps prevent that.

The Voice Agent section was another strong part of the platform. You can create an agent and connect things like instructions, tools, and a knowledge base, which was a lifesaver. That way, when customers ask questions, we can be more confident the AI won’t hallucinate.

 ### 4. Easy to Use for Natural-Sounding Text-to-Speech

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

What I like most about Cartesia is how natural the generated voices sound. The text-to-speech workflow is straightforward and easy to use, and the options for voice, speed, volume, and emotion give me solid control over the final output.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

I don’t like that it takes a bit of time to get familiar with all the different voice and settings options. I had to test a few combinations before I could figure out which voice and settings worked best for me. After I got used to them, though, the overall experience felt pretty straightforward and easy to use.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use Cartesia to simplify the text-to-speech part of my work. It lets me quickly convert written content into natural-sounding voice output, instead of having to record everything manually. That’s especially helpful when I need to test something quickly or create short narration and voiceover content.

 ### 5. Ultra-Low-Latency TTS With Natural Prosody and a Sleek Developer Dashboard

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

In my work as an AI technical evaluator benchmarking LLM applications, what stands out most about Cartesia—especially the Sonic model—is its state-of-the-art text-to-speech engine. I regularly test API low-latency performance, and Cartesia consistently delivers ultra-fast audio generation with exceptionally natural prosody.

The developer dashboard also makes it easy to manage API keys and evaluate voice models without unnecessary friction. Since my projects require rigorous testing of SDK integrations for Python and JavaScript, Cartesia’s clear documentation and responsive support help me onboard quickly and maintain reliable, high-performance results for real-time voice agents.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

In my work evaluating AI models and testing API performance, Cartesia clearly excels in raw speed, but its voice selection is still smaller than that of legacy providers like ElevenLabs. I’ve also found that the credit-based pricing can scale up quickly when running high-volume benchmarks or streaming longer audio outputs. In addition, during long-form synthesis or when using expressive voice controls, tone consistency can occasionally drift unless I add explicit IPA markup or spend time tuning parameters.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my work evaluating AI models and benchmarking API latency, Cartesia helps address a major bottleneck in conversational AI: high audio latency. With its Sonic model, it delivers sub-90ms streaming text-to-speech generation, replacing the traditional multi-second response delays with more natural, real-time audio output. In my workflow, this reduces awkward pauses during voice agent evaluation, which noticeably improves user engagement and makes two-way conversational AI feel more fluid and human-like.

 ### 6. Low-Latency AI Voice Generation with Natural-Sounding Speech

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammed A. | Technical Project Manager , Logistics and Supply Chain, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

Cartesia stands out for the natural quality and low latency of its AI voice technology. The speech generation feels responsive enough for conversational applications, where even small delays can make a voice interaction feel artificial. I also like the developer experience, with APIs and SDKs that make it relatively straightforward to connect voice capabilities to an existing application or AI agent. The platform's focus on real-time interaction makes it particularly useful for voice agents and other applications where responsiveness matters as much as audio quality. For teams building AI-powered voice experiences, the combination of speech quality, speed, and developer flexibility provides strong practical value.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

Cartesia is clearly designed with developers and AI teams in mind, so users without experience working with APIs, voice models, or AI infrastructure may need more time to become comfortable with the platform. I would also like more built-in tools for evaluating voice quality across different models and use cases, particularly when comparing latency, naturalness, and cost. Pricing can become an important consideration for applications with high volumes of real-time conversations, so clearer cost forecasting and optimization guidance would make it easier to estimate ROI before scaling a production voice application. More guided onboarding examples for common voice-agent scenarios would also improve the initial experience.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cartesia addresses the challenge of making AI voice interactions sound natural while remaining fast enough for real-time conversations. Traditional text-to-speech systems can introduce noticeable delays or produce voices that feel less conversational, which becomes especially problematic for AI agents that need to respond naturally and continuously. Cartesia's focus on low-latency speech generation helps reduce that friction and makes voice-based AI applications feel more responsive. The API and developer tooling also reduce the amount of custom infrastructure needed to add speech capabilities to an existing AI workflow, allowing teams to spend more time improving the actual agent experience rather than building the voice layer from scratch.

 ### 7. Lightning-Fast, Highly Customizable Voices—But Takes Tuning and Has Limited Languages

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

What blew me away is just how insanely fast this thing is. The lag is basically nonexistent. If you've ever tried building a voice bot before, you know that awkward, robotic pause where the AI takes a second to "think" before it talks. Cartesia completely kills that—it starts speaking the absolute millisecond a sentence finishes.

The control you get over the voice is also wild. It doesn't sound like a generic, monotone robot. You can actually tweak the emotion, speed, and energy to match whatever vibe you're going for—like making it sound genuinely excited or totally calm and professional. Plus, it naturally handles tricky things like phone numbers and weirdly spelled addresses without tripping up or pronouncing them like a broken computer. It just sounds real.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

The biggest headache is how much you have to fiddle with the sliders to make it sound natural. Even though it's incredibly fast, the voices can easily default to sounding a bit flat or robotic unless you spend a ton of time manually tweaking the speed, pitch, and emotion settings to get the vibe just right.

The language selection is also pretty limiting. It only supports around 15 languages right now, which is a massive wall if you're trying to build a truly global app or need to handle diverse regional accents. Plus, the developer dashboard still feels really bare-bones—tracking your usage and predicting your exact costs can be a guessing game.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest thing Cartesia fixes for me is that painful, awkward pause you usually get with voice AI. Before this, my bots would sit there in dead silence for two or three seconds just trying to process the text before speaking. Cartesia streams the audio almost instantly, which finally makes a voice chat feel like a normal, fluid phone call with a real person. It also naturally nails tricky things like phone numbers and acronyms right out of the box without me having to write annoying phonetic workarounds.

When it comes to integration, it was surprisingly painless to hook up. Their API is built for streaming from the ground up, so I just plugged in my key and set up a WebSocket connection. It also plays perfectly with real-time frameworks like LiveKit, meaning I didn't have to tear apart my existing backend infrastructure just to get ultra-low-latency voice running smoothly.

 ### 8. Lightning-Fast, Natural-Sounding TTS With Strong Developer Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tuli D. | Learning Experience Design & Development Sr. Analyst, Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

1. Industry-leading latency
The headline feature is speed. With a time-to-first audio of just 90ms, Sonic 3 responds faster than you can blink the kind of speed needed to make interactions feel fluid, not clunky. The system can start speaking while the text is still ready or while the user is giving input, allowing smooth, natural conversation without any delay.

2. Expressive, natural voice quality
For years, TTS voices were easy to spot flat, monotone, missing the natural rhythm that gives speech meaning and emotion. Sonic 3 is a big step up: it's designed to understand the context of the text and deliver it with the right feeling, whether that's excitement, sadness, or something in between. It can even pull off a realistic laugh.

3. Voice cloning with minimal audio
Voice cloning capabilities allow the creation of custom voices based on just a few minutes of sample audio, creating personalized vocal avatars for consistent brand representation.

4. Developer-friendly
Excellent documentation, SDKs (Python, JS), and a clear API make integration smooth. The playground makes it easy to audition voices, test cloning, and experiment with SSML controls before committing to API integration.

5. Multilingual support
The system's multilingual support encompasses over 30 languages with native-quality pronunciation, making it suitable for global deployments

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

1. Smaller pre-built voice library
Being a newer platform, it has a smaller voice library and less stability in voices' qualities and expressiveness compared to more established competitors like ElevenLabs.

2. API-first, not beginner-friendly
Non-technical users might find the API-first approach has a steeper learning curve than a simple web UI. The playground helps, but the full power of the platform really requires coding knowledge.

3. Credit billing complexity
Multi-product billing mixes credits, prepaid agent dollars, and per-minute overages, which complicates budgeting. Pro Voice Clone training and voice-changer rates can create large one-off cost spikes.

4. Limited third-party social proof
At the time of writing, Cartesia has no verified presence on G2, Trustpilot, or Capterra, making evaluation harder than with more established platforms.

5. Not ideal for long-form audio
While Cartesia can handle longer text, it's optimized for conversational, real-time use cases. For audiobooks or podcasts, you may want to evaluate voice quality against platforms specifically designed for long-form content.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For L&D and AI-powered e-learning use cases, Cartesia fills a specific gap: voice agents and narration that need to feel immediate rather than pre-rendered. Cartesia AI supports real-time dialogue for NPCs and game characters that can react to player actions, and developers can set voice personalities, emotions, and styles. That maps well to scenario-based learning interactions and chatbot-style microlearning experiences.

The voice cloning feature is especially valuable for keeping narration personas consistent across modules. Being able to clone a brand voice from a short sample and apply it across multiple scripts is a real time-saver in content production pipelines.

 ### 9. Exceptional, Human-Like Voice Quality with Near-Instant Audio Generation

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

The voice quality is exceptional—it sounds natural, smooth, and genuinely human-like. What impressed me most was the speed: the audio generates almost instantly, with no noticeable lag. I tried it with different types of content—presentation scripts, training walkthroughs, and announcements—and the results were consistently clear, with solid pacing and intonation. The playground also lets you test everything directly in the browser without any setup or API key, which makes evaluating it effortless.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

The voice selection is high quality, but it feels smaller than what some competitors offer. There’s also limited control over emotion or speaking style—you can’t easily make the same voice sound excited versus calm without rewriting the text itself. The free tier comes with generation limits, and the pricing details for higher usage aren’t immediately clear on the site.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a fast way to generate voiceovers for internal presentations and training videos without having to record the audio myself. With Cartesia, I can paste in my script and get broadcast-quality speech back in seconds. The low latency also makes it practical for real-time use. Overall, it has replaced my manual recording workflow and saved me a lot of time on content that doesn’t need a personal touch.

 ### 10. Cartesia Makes Translating Spanish Papers to English Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

I use Cartesia to translate papers from Spanish into English. In comparison to the other tools such as Claude and other AI tools, I believe that Cartesia is the quickest in terms of rapid translation. I would recommend this app among a few others for those who are bilingual or learning multiple languages.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

I don't have anything negative to say. Maybe an expansion of languages you can translate from/ a few more voices?

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now I use Cartesia for articles that are not translated online. I read a lot in English and Spanish and this helps me learn more throughout the day. Overall, the software runs great and is quick. Also, you can utilize their free features before paying more for additional features.

 ### 11. Instant Voice Generation That Sounds Human

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diya M. | Applied ai intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user.

**Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

The voice generation happens almost instantly, so there’s no awkward lag during real-time conversations. And unlike a lot of fast text-to-speech tools, it doesn’t come across as a flat robot—its emotion, pacing, and tone sound natural and genuinely human.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

The main downside I noticed is that the voice library and non-English options feel fairly limited compared to older competitors. Also, you sometimes have to manually tweak the emotional settings, since longer blocks of text can occasionally flatten out and lose their tone.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cartesia addresses the huge latency and awkward lag common in traditional voice AI by replacing heavy transformer models with state-space models, enabling audio streaming. For me, that translates into being able to build real-time voice agents that feel fluid and natural, so callers aren’t talking over each other or stuck waiting for responses.

 ### 12. Fast, Natural, and Powerful AI Voice Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sravya A. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

What I like best about Cartesia is the quality and naturalness of its AI voice generation. The voices sound remarkably realistic, with good clarity, expression, and responsiveness. It’s also easy to integrate into applications, making it a great choice for building fast, engaging voice experiences.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

One area that could be improved is the pricing and usage limits, particularly for higher-volume use cases. It would also be helpful to offer more customization and fine-tuning options to better meet specific voice and pronunciation requirements.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cartesia addresses the challenge of delivering natural, real-time AI voice experiences without the need for a lot of complex infrastructure. With fast response times and realistic-sounding voices, it becomes easier to build engaging voice-based applications, while also cutting down development time and improving the overall user experience.

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

As a PM overseeing our automated support workflows, latency is the biggest bottleneck we face with voice AI. Cartesia's Sonic model essentially eliminated the awkward pauses in our voice bots. The sub-200ms generation time is noticeably faster than other major providers we tested for our stack.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

The core API is solid, but the developer dashboard and usage analytics are still pretty barebones. When I'm trying to pull quick reports on token usage or track down specific error spikes during peak operation hours, I usually have to rely on our internal logging rather than getting a quick visual from their UI. Also, fine-tuning custom voices requires a bit more trial and error than expected to get the pronunciation of industry-specific terms exactly right.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are building out real-time conversational agents to handle initial tier-1 customer support queries. Cartesia solves the "uncanny valley" problem of slow, monotone AI voices. The primary business benefit has been a noticeable drop in caller hang-ups during the initial bot routing phase, purely because the voice sounds natural enough and responds fast enough that users don't get immediately frustrated.

 ### 14. Cartesia: Intuitive Interface and Plenty of Tokens to Experiment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

What I like best about Cartesia is how easy and intuitive it is to use. The interface feels straightforward, so it does not take much time to get started or figure out where things are. I also appreciate that the token amount is decent, which makes it easier to experiment and use the product without feeling too limited right away.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

What I dislike most about Cartesia is that it currently feels limited in terms of integrations. It would be more useful if it connected more easily with other tools or workflows I already use. I also think the reprompting experience could be improved, since it does not always feel as smooth or effective as it could be when refining outputs.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cartesia helps me create tutorial voiceovers and product demos more efficiently. Instead of spending extra time recording and editing narration myself, I can generate clear, professional-sounding voiceovers that fit the content I’m creating. This makes it easier to produce demos and instructional materials quickly, while still keeping them polished and easy to follow.

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

I like Cartesia because the voice quality sounds very natural, and specially the Indian style voice tone feels good. As a developer, API integration was quite easy and documentation is also simple to understand.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

Sometimes the pricing can feel little expensive, specially when you are testing or building small projects. Also, I feel there can be more examples and practical use cases in the documentation for developers.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit for me is the fast response and natural sounding voice, which is useful for real-time conversations. It also helps me to quickly test different voice features and integrate them in my projects without too much effort.

 ### 16. Responsive Support and Real Conversations Make Cartesia Shine

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

I’ve been able to speak with real people to discuss their plans and features. Their support has also been very good: when I’ve reported bugs or issues, they’ve been fixed and addressed, and any questions I’ve had have been answered.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

Coding a voice agent comes with a bit of a learning curve. Claude Code really reduced that ramp-up time for me, though, and it makes me think that using any kind of AI coding agent could significantly speed up the development process for anyone considering Cartesia.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They make it easy to have a voice agent automatically run an in-depth interview, and it still sounds pleasant and easy to work with throughout.

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

The feature I appreciate most in Cartesia is its smooth incorporation into existing creative workflows. It’s quick, and generates good results consistently. It also provides a simple enough UI to allow users of different skill levels to use it, which is great for teams.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

Nothing as of yet. We are in the early stages of using the platform.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cartesia Labs develops AI models that can run locally on edge devices, such as phones, laptops, and IoT devices, without the need for cloud servers. Their goal is to make AI accessible, private, and low-latency by optimizing models and training techniques for small-footprint hardware.

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

The best thing I like about this Cartesia platform is it stands out very much precise on designing for real-time conversational AI rather than having a traditional text-to-speech kind of generation. And the speech generations are taught almost instantly, making the conversations feel more natural when compared with other voice AI platforms. I also do like that it combines multiple capabilities right from starting text to speech and speech to text on voice cloning and other voice agents all under a single ecosystem. The voice quality sounds very realistic while maintaining the very low latency, which is particularly valuable for customer support bots and AI assistants. The APIs are well-documented and the developer experience is also straightforward for integrating voice functionality into existing applications.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

Although the platform performs very well technically, it's more focused on the developer focus then creative focus. Also, sometimes without programming experience, we might find this platform bit complicated unless approachable than consumer-oriented AI voice tools. This platform also offers many advanced configuration options which can feel overwhelming initially but more no-code workflows and additional visual tools for building voice applications make it more easier and broader for our audience. For a highly customised conversation workflow, there is still a learning curve which needs to be worked on this platform.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform helps us solve one of the biggest challenges in conversational AI by reducing the latency while maintaining the natural sound speech and instead of users waiting for several seconds for AI response and conversational feel much more fluid because speech generation and transcription happen in our real time, and this also improves the overall customer experience for Voice Assistant and automated support. This platform also simplifies the development by providing voice generations and transcriptions all under an agent's capabilities through a unified platform instead of requiring to hogging upon multiple platforms.

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

I like how you can copy and paste text into the form and from here you can choose how your ai will sound like, so it's very good for setting up presentations. There are also a wide variety of voices to choose from each one having its own personality and the quality is actually quite good

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

I found it quite hard to use as there are so many options and buttons to click and choose from within the user interface. I was take aback quite a bit when I was using this and I felt overwhelmed as I found the U.I too much for me. Overall quite confusing and I had to use guides to see how to navigate through it

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Once I finally figured it out, the main problem it was solving was to put ai voices over my presentations so give it more of a professional spin. I had it so it would have a conversation with me while I was presenting

**G2 Icon:** Our network of Icons are G2 members who are recognized for their outstanding contributions and commitment to helping others through their expertise.

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

What I like best about Cartesia is how it helps make voice-based interactions more accessible and useful by converting spoken content into valuable information. For sales and account management teams, speech-to-text capabilities can help capture customer conversations, training sessions, and internal discussions so important insights are easier to review, share, and act on. This improves productivity, supports better coaching, and helps teams maintain a clearer understanding of customer needs.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

While Cartesia provides strong voice technology capabilities, speech-to-text experiences can still be improved through continued advancements in accuracy, especially with different accents, multiple speakers, background noise, and industry-specific terminology. More customization options and deeper integrations with sales enablement, CRM, and training platforms would further increase its value for business teams.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cartesia helps address the challenge of turning spoken conversations and voice data into actionable insights. For sales and account management teams, this can reduce the time spent manually documenting meetings, improve access to customer information, and create better opportunities for coaching and training. By making conversations easier to capture, analyze, and reference, it helps teams improve collaboration, strengthen customer relationships, and make more informed decisions.

 ### 21. Natural-Sounding, Low-Latency Voices That Make AI Assistant Development Easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**G2 Icon:** Our network of Icons are G2 members who are recognized for their outstanding contributions and commitment to helping others through their expertise.

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

The biggest advantage for me is the combination of natural-sounding voices and low latency. When building AI voice assistants, responsive speech output is important, and Cartesia delivers that consistently in my experience. The generated voices sound realistic enough for development and testing, which makes it easier to evaluate the overall conversational experience. It has become a practical tool for my weekly development work.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

I would like to see more voice customization options. The current features are enough to get started, but there are situations where I wanted more control over the generated voice to better match different use cases. Expanding those customization capabilities would make the platform more flexible for developers.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cartesia helps me add high-quality speech output to AI voice assistants without spending time building a Text-to-Speech solution from scratch. The natural voice quality and low response time make it easier to prototype, test, and refine voice interactions during development. This lets me focus more on improving the application's functionality while using the API to handle speech generation efficiently.

 ### 22. Cartesia’s Natural, Low-Latency TTS with Beginner-Friendly UI and Easy Integrations

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Cartesia?**

Cartesia actually has one of the best Gen AI TTS services out there. The voice actually feels too natural and not robotic at all. The latency is also negligible. UI/UX to try and test the voices is much friendly for even a beginner. The accessibility of Cartesia to be integrated with tools like LiveKit, etc. makes it all the worth of its cost. Moreover, their support and customer success team makes it too easy to onboard.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

No such things to dislike but if you are a bit shorthanded on cost side of things, you can try other alternatives out there.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cartesia is making our Voice AI agents feel natural and make it a lot User friendly, rather than most of the agents out there who are a lot robotic.

**What do you dislike about Cartesia?**

That there can be a bit of a learning curve when you start exploring the more advanced options. The basics are fairly straightforward, but getting everything configured exactly the way you want can take some experimenting.

**What problems is Cartesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me create more natural voice based experiences without having to rely on traditional recordings or spend a lot of time producing audio manually. I can generate realistic speech quickly and make changes when needed, which is esp useful when testing different customer interactions or support scenarios.
