And has an interface familiar to developers working on top of Linux/Unix variants, which makes goto for engineers in startups. **What do you dislike about Canonical LXC?** Maybe not as popular as K8s or Docker. It may be because it doesn't have as many pre-cooked flavours as things like K8s have. Or maybe people find it too technical. **What problems is Canonical LXC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Canonical LXC helps in container management on top of Linux distributions like Ubuntu. Using LXC we can create containers to run microservices on a Linux/Unix based system, which can then run either on-prem or on cloud. ### 2. Great tool. Hats off to the developers. Keep it up mates! **What do you dislike about Canonical LXC?** Sometimes it gets tough to move containers but it's okay as the entire system is so much lighter. **What problems is Canonical LXC solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solving the limitation of having less amount of hardware and allowing admins to have multiple hosts to have different services all together. ### 3. More use case specific images can help with faster setups with tighter control. From the point of performance and resource usage, working directly with this technology is a luxury to make the most of your machine's resources at the usage level. Network management is very easy and you can manage it with just one file to configure it. Resources management for CPU & Memory is good and it limit everything. Forwarding traffic from outside world to the container is very easy and I do believe it can be handled without your interference. Flexibility in cloning containers and taking snapshots with the existing configurations. **What do you dislike about Canonical LXC?** Limiting the disk space per container is not the best thing in LXC , and creating container with specific partitioning format is not an easy task to do. Lack of documentation for LXC and there is no updated guide to go through it . **What problems is Canonical LXC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Some applications are using networking in very hard usage and when it comes to containerize these applications you will face issues in configuring the network but with LXC I overcome these issues. ### 11. It's also very performant and rock-solid, and like other similar virtualization methods it doesn't waste unused system resources. **What do you dislike about Canonical LXC?** Getting started with LXC is kinda complicated. Configuration has ton of options, tools can be confusing and behaviour in some aspects is not very intuitive. **Recommendations to others considering Canonical LXC:** I'd recommend reading example configs by other people, trying to understand what they did. **What problems is Canonical LXC solving and how is that benefiting you?** Used LXC before Docker was around for locking applications into small containers, mostly webhosting related.
